I have been going back and forth about loving my 6 year olds hair! It’s so thick maybe more than your daughters! She hates getting it done, she cries, she hates when I brush it, blow dry ect. This video has been the first one to make me feel like it’s a good decision! Thank you sooo much!!! She looks beautiful and I know my baby will too!

I'm in the EXACT position as you! My daughter is also 6, I loc'd in October and she loves my hair so far and because of everything you said, in a addition to the fact that her hair thrives in twist and locs itself anyway lol, it might be the best decision for us. I pray that she likes it! I'm at about 80% on our final decision!

Thank you for the mousse trick!!! Omg. I only do retwist 3x a year like comb and gel but I can do the mousse in between. I love your videos. I don’t have a daughter yet but I want her to have locs. One of my teachers had a loc tradition in her family all the way down to her grandchildren, it was beautiful. Thanks for the video.

I started my 5 year old cousin’s locs using your tutorial, she’s excited about the journey and so am I. She has loose curly hairy so I did make the locs a bit bigger but I’m excited to see them mature

I can't wait to start my locs this summer. Man, her locs look good and I love the cut in the back. These were started with two strand twist? That's how I'm thinking of starting my locs. I wish you can come to England, haven't found a loctician yet. I miss Chicago. Lol..

You absolutely can !
How did you dry your daughter locs ?
I usually let them air dry most of the time. But when I’m in a hurry I use the blow dryer to speed up the process
How often do you wash and retwist?
I wash once a month or Twice if needed. I retwist every 2-3 months.
