In todays video I am retwisting my daughters 3 month old locs ! I will be showing you how I retwist my daughters starter locs, as well as the products I use. I did start her locs with the 2 strand twist method….. also her hair type is 3C & her sisters is 4A/4B so I did separate their videos, so make sure you stay tuned for that !!

Hello! I just came across your video and I have a question. Do you find that starting with the two strands braid at the root method helps maintain the loc …meaning is it easier?

Hiii !! Thank you 🫶🏽💖 & yesss MUCH easier ! We’ve started our locs many different ways & this is by far the easiest way to maintain. It keeps the stray hairs together as well as the loc it self ! 🌱✨

Question: How long after you did the retwist did you wait before you separated them into the amount of locs you started doing the retwist on? Or is the beginning head of hair the locs already separated? I want to do my daughter's hair but hers is 30" long loose and she doesn't want to cut it😅😩
Lol yesss don’t cut her hairr 🤣😩 but that is long goodness 😅!! & I separated the 2 strands after about 2 weeks.

I've been doing her hair in 2-strand twists for a long time and it takes me between 6-8 hours to detangle and retwist her hair (about 24 twists) each time I wash it and she hates the process each time but is happy when it's done. I asked her if she wants to loc it and she said yes. She's 12. I feel like we will both be happy because this way we can continue the process without combing it out each time and she can keep her length😊
