Sound like they should wield purple lightsabers as true balance.

Purple is for those who were on the dark side, but became jedi knights. Donning a red saber, but later mixing it with the blue.

it should be mentioned the term gray jedi is not in the canon universe or in legends. it is only used in video games.

Yea i have no idea why they did that. Qui Gon was not a Grey Jedi. He did not utilize the darkside in any way. He simply did what the force guided him to do regardless of the council's opinion on the matter. Grey Jedi doesnt really make a whole lot of sense cannonically@@Kolegadodz

As much as grey Jedi concept is nice, it is in conflict with core idea of how force works
Force could be seen as spiritual balance and tapping to dark side breaks that spiritual balance. Consciously using light side, understating that dark side exists, understand that it will never be erased, that it will always temp us, but in the end choosing light over dark is balance.
That was party that Anakin went through. At the end he chose selflessness over selfishness, chose light over dark, not for his own benefit, but for benefit of others, coming back to light
Grey Jedi as those in middle is more of game concept and fandom concept.
I like the idea of those who wield both sides, but I would more like to see them in form that Mace windu took. He was one to use darker side, yet being able to stay in balance, never giving into tempting of darker side.
I think one of the novels expanded on this. It was what if Anakin stood his ground against not being Jedi master but sitting in council and he had argument with mace windu. Who in some way was similar to Anakin when it came to being between both sides of force

@@blades9152 Besides, You can't have balance by staying in the light and in the light only. That's not how balance works. Light and dark are both sides of the same coin. To reject one side but fully embrace the other is to ignore the duality of the two forces and to blind yourself in either shadows or light that's too bright to see.

This ia why we love legends. Moat of it is better than canon. He hates mara jade and thus luke in legends yet all the fandome loves them more than canon luke.
The fans have their preferences and honestly theres still the Bendu. And filloni loves the concept of them and he will most likely make the term or philosophy canon in a way. New star wars canon is still young signe they consider legends just stories n

This is exactly why I will always lean towards the concept of being a grey jedi sentinel and a bendu je'daii for they were wayless rigid than the counselor and guardian orders of the jedi and the same can be said about the grey Paladin order; plus the grey jedi code and the je'daii code are way better than the jedi and sith codes because they offers true balance!💯😁😉👍

Going back to Return of the Jedi era, I think Vader should have lived. I think Vader should have become a grey jedi. And I think Luke should have fallen to the deskside, *edit Darkside, through some machination of the emperor before or after Vader killed the emperor.
Then I think Leah should have been trained as the Jedi.
The emperor and Vader kept referring to Luke falling to the dark side as his "destiny"
I just wish that the authorship was still an open universe. I hate disney for closing it off.

Don’t they try to incorporate that crap into the ‘lightsaber forms’ too? Some garbage about ‘honing’ dark side energy in a controlled way… just because Samuel L Jackson got a purple lightsaber… and purple = blue + red… 🙄
