I live in Franklin, TN and itâs been so much fun watching you and Charlie enjoying and exploring all the places that my husband and I enjoy too! We moved here 7 years ago with our family and just love it! If you think itâs lovely now, youâll have to come back when the Fall colors are at their peak as well see how lush and green it is in the spring and beginning of Summer! Enjoy!

I live in Memrphis TN, and the landscape is quite different. It has tiny pockets of beauty, and a lot of trees for a city, but where you are, is lovely.
Charlie's saying how everyone is so friendly. It's because we Americans love the British especially as soon as you open your mouths to speak! I for one just swoon at a classy British accent! đ€âŁ

How exciting to see you guys exploring my old state of residence (I'm up the road in the beautiful horse country of Kentucky now)! I was wondering what you'd think of the landscapes, bc imo the mountains of TN (and TN in general) are one of the top most beautiful places in the whole US. And yes, Southern hospitality is real haha!
Doesn't it feel weird to you? Whenever a CZcamsr travels to Greece and makes a vlog, it feels so strange to me. I am wondering if I am the only one who feels this way.
Nashville is a great place. The hospitality is second to none, and the southern warmth and charm so genuine.
Several years since I was last there, and we went to Grande Ole Opry, even though I was not a country music fan Wow, the atmosphere, what a fab night!
It was March and the temperature went from 16 degrees to 26 degrees.
Downtown Nashville, great bars and food. DIMO'S restaurant was our fave, don't know if the same family own it!
The plantation farm museum's are amazing, especially Belle Meade. The house is beautiful, authentic in style!
We flew out from Manchester with Delta airlines which was positive experience also.

If you want another AMAZING place to stay in TN, Blackberry Farm is incredible. We stayed there for our honeymoon. All farm to table, chef prepared food. Luxury cabins, gorgeous views, a spa. Tucked in the Smokey mountains. One of the best places Iâve ever been. And now I realize you mentioned it đ SO worth a stay.

Yes, you are in the South! I live 70 miles south from where you are staying. Its get's very hot and humid here during Spring and Summer months. Tennessee is very beautiful.
Franklin is such a neat town. We do long weekends there frequently. If you go to the farmers market in Nashville they have a great ice cream place that carries the best lavender ice cream.

Josie, trail mix can seem bird food-like, lol. But, it is actually a healthy snack alternative, comprised of various peanuts, nuts, Chex cereal pieces and small chocolate bits. Sometimes with honey..it all depends. Continue to enjoy your trip!

Josie, Just watched your Franklin, TN video. I live only three hours from there in East Tennessee in the foothills of The Great Smoky Mountains. It is the most visited National Park in the U.S. If you come back to Tennessee again, it is definitely worth seeing. They have luxury log cabins in varying sizes with great big decks jutting off the sides of mountain cliffs. They have big hot tubs out on the decks. Black bear are everywhere. There are many gloriously beautiful hikes. We usually stay in a place called Wears Valley. Last we rented a 6000 sq. ft. cabin. It is so lovely. Just thought I'd mention it.
Thatâs the biggest advent calendar I have seen yet, wow!
Darling Josie, I am a 'transplanted southerner' (raised in California) and I have to say that I am enjoying your travels throughout the Southern US (Charleston with Freddy, Tennessee, etc.) and I hope to make my way to your part of the world at some point. I also hope that you will visit my 'adopted' state of North Carolina as she is beautiful and full of history. Yes, Southern Hospitality is real, thank you for noticing! Im also a native to the state. Living in a different state currently. But i do feel like you captured the scenery and mountains for sure. It's just peaceful and cozy. And i find myself missing that part alot.
Trail Mix is not for the birds, but usually a mix of nuts, raisins, chocolate bits, sometimes pretzels. A popular snack for outdoors and indoors, too.

So glad you are enjoying your current visit to America. I have been to Nashville but not to Franklin. I must visit there next time I go perhaps stay there, SouthHall Farm and Resort looks wonderful. BTW, we have foxes in the US (I have seen them in my back yard in Massachusetts), as well as badgers (mostly in the middle of the US) and pheasants usually in the western half of the US, mostly near Washington state. America is so vast, the wildlife creatures' dwell in different places depending on the terrain. So glad you are getting to see so many different places in the US.

I absolutley love Franklin!! Make sure you visit Hillsboro Village near the The Mall at Green Hills and The Gulch in Downtown Nashville!They also have a huge Farmers Market in Downtown Nashville as well! Im moving back soon from South Carolina. Safe Travels!!

Pottery Barn is my fave! Glad to hear itâs like The White Company because we donât have that in Canada. Though I know there isnât cashmere socks at Pottery Barn.
Lol trail mix is a high fat, high protein, mix of nuts seeds and dried berries/ fruit traditionally, a lot of people add things like chocolate chips or m&mâs so some of them can be quite sugary. Originally it was a quick, easy, storable, high protein, high fat trail food for outdoors people like hunters, climbers, hikers, campers etc. Its very popular here in the states, a lot of parents like to add it to kids packed lunches as a fast easy âhealthyâ snack. I only put quotes around the word healthy because the kid friendly versions tend to have more sugar than the adult versions do.
Wow! I canât believe that there such a progressive, modern and chic resort/farm there in middle Tennessee! I am SO heartened to know that this business exists and am going to do some research on it for my list of stateside sustainable, luxury but cosy places in the south! We have stayed in a similar place in the Meadows of Dan, Virginia, called Primland Resort (a part of the Auberge Collection of resorts), but this Farm is new to me. I am SO excited to check it outâŠ!!
We drive through Franklin from Alabama all the time on our way to Nashville then St. Louis, Missouri. We've even stayed overnight to break up the trip near the highway, not in the country. It's good to see the area has remained unspoiled since it has built up incredibly fast over just the last five years. I'll think about staying there once the prices drop. It's gorgeous, but not sure if I want to spend that much for a stay in TN
