Pitbulls are such "misunderstood" animals (until they bite your neck open on X-mas morning because you took off your sweater too fast, tripping a circuit in his brain, TRUE story). Pitbull are like motorcycles: They are for fools that think emotionally instead of logically.
My dog was thrown out of a car and left standing in the road watching her master drive away. Thank God someone saw it happen and picked her up. She has her forever home with me now and she will never be thrown out of a car again. Bless you for saving this baby.
I found a dog like this one time she followed me home, stayed and lived her best life until passing on but she was loved. and will always be remembered.
Someone dumped a pitbull just like him on my property a few years back. He was eating my outside cats food for 8 days until I finally caught up to him. He weighs 90 lbs though and bigger. He was drinking out of their water bowl when I spotted him and yelled, Hey what are you doing. He started walking away with his head down like he had lost his best friend. I followed him for an 1/8 mile before I got him to stop. He was limping, had asphalt on his butt like he had been pushed out of a vehicle. What stunned me was what looked like cigarette burns all over his back. 40-50 of them. When I went to pet him he started shaking and pooping. Took me a 1/2 hour to get him to come back to the house. Didn't think I'd be able to keep him. Once he settled down he wanted to kill the kittens on the property so I called the dog warden. She came and he became aggressive. Asked what would happen to him and she said they'd probably have to put him down. Couldn't let that happen. Told her I'd take my chances with him. 5 years later he sleeps with kittens now and I'm retired so he's my constant companion every where I go. I trust him with my life. God brought us together for a reason and I feel God also gave you a dog who needed you. God bless you for taking him in.

The beagle is an absolute psycho, he will fight everyone and isn’t afraid of my two pits. Meanwhile the 6 month old pit/boxer we adopted we were worried about aggression obviously we don’t know what he was living like as a stray. So true! I currently have a dog that I rescued that choose me. When the security at my job noticed her I was the only one that she would let close to her so I had no choice but to be her forever home. Best dog I ever had so I'm so glad I took her in.
A sweet little Pitbull wandered into my son's yard he was dehydrated, was missing hair on his back and butt from chewing because of fleas and ticks, and his ribs were all showing. He's been living with me for several months now and you can't see his ribs anymore, his coat is almost perfect, and he is the most loving cuddle bug I've ever had in my life.
@mingo I had stray/abandoned cat move in just over eight months ago after of trying to befriend her for a few months. Now, my home is her castle & myself her butler - couldn't be any happier!
How can you say that?! You have no idea what his back story is. Maybe his loving owner died or the pitbull was kidnapped and then dumped when he wouldn't fight in the dog ring. There could be any kind of story. This couple didn't advertise for a lost dog or have it scanned for a microchip unless the narrator decided to leave that out. Please retract your accusation.
@Abner The basset even if that were the case, they still don’t deserve to have him back, they weren’t properly caring for him by having a low fence that he could jump over and escape. If you own a pit bull or any type of ‘high energy, strong’ dog then you should know better… I would even venture to say you need to be MORE on top of it because of the fact that you own a pit bull -fantastic dogs- but you need to be extra vigilant.

Our pittie was 4-5 months old and alone (abandoned?) at a drive-through. Janine that is so true too! Most dogs are good judges of character. All of our German Shepherds have had this ability to see into a person's soul and tell us whether to trust that person or not. It's almost uncanny but it's true. The German Shepherd in my avatar photo was named Cheyenne. Goodness was she smart, fast and a seriously wicked fighter and not afraid of anything! We had her in the car with us one day when we pulled into a convenience store in Madison, Ohio. There was a guy who looked homeless but he was in a car that pulled in next to us and Cheyenne went ballistic instantly. I just figured it was because he looked really creepy, very disheveled and not well kept. So we went into the store and on the way back I got into the car and my wife started to get in when he came out of nowhere and held her car door open for a few seconds and wouldnt let her close it. Cheyenne leaped at him and I grabbed her tail just in time to keep her from full on attacking him. He let the door go and jumped inside his car and took off and we never saw him again. None of us were hurt, thank goodness and the threat was gone. I should have gone inside by myself but it just didn't dawn on me that the dude might actually be a threat to my wife, otherwise I would have told her to stay in the car with Cheyenne. She was incredible! One morning I was leaving for work and my was about to let her out to pee and one of my neighbors had a visitor who had a big rottweiller that came into my yard at a full out run towards me. I'm pretty much deaf so I had no clue the dog was even there until out of the blue Cheyenne grabbed that dog in mid air by the throat and pinned it to the ground! That big rottie was crying in serious pain while she had him! I know he didn't expect to get attacked by another 100 pound dog like that! I ended up getting an old broom handle and prying her mouth off of him and as soon as he was free he high tailed it home down the street! I thought I was gonna pee my pants right there too! But she was just absolutely fearless. Twice she chased black bears off of our property and once we had a young cougar on our roof a couple of nights in the summer (I think it was someone's pet that got loose) and she chased it away once as well! She was crazy bold. And several times after that she scared would - be dangerous men away from my wife late at night when my wife was driving home. But she knew instantly if you were a good person or not and she reacted on hand shakes as well. She was just that smart and it was like I said...she seemed to be able to peer right into your soul and tell immediately if you are a decent individual or if you are gonna pose a threat. Just an awesome dog. She's gone now but we still have 1 of her female pups and her mate so we are still blessed with her blood line.❤
Instead of "They didn't have the heart to leave him..." it should be "They had a heart and so they could not leave him.". Thanks to the people that cared for this dog and saved him! ❤
The reason he didn’t get out was the last time he got out of a vehicle he got abandonned. You are wonderful, decent people.

Fell into the right arms!! I’m so glad this dog is protecting and loving a family whom deserves him. 😊
I love when an animal chooses you, it was meant to be!
YES !!!
Agree 💯💯💯
@mingo I had stray/abandoned cat move in just over eight months ago after of trying to befriend her for a few months. Now, my home is her castle & myself her butler - couldn't be any happier!
Whoever abandoned him doesn't deserve to get him back.
@Abner The basset u don’t know that people abandon animals all the time
How can you say that?!
@Abner The basset My comment was to Raven, not you.
That’s for damn sure
@Abner The basset even if that were the case, they still don’t deserve to have him back, they weren’t properly caring for him by having a low fence that he could jump over and escape. If you own a pit bull or any type of ‘high energy, strong’ dog then you should know better… I would even venture to say you need to be MORE on top of it because of the fact that you own a pit bull -fantastic dogs- but you need to be extra vigilant.
You folks did the exact right thing for Buddy. I wish you many happy years together.
Thank you for looking after the dog....blessings

Such a nice boy. Heartbreaking what he must have gone through mentally
That is what you call a lost soul. So glad these people didn't do what most would've done which was to call the pound and have him hauled off to die in a cage. Thank yall for having a heart and blessing this GOOD BOY.......
Similar thing happened with me and my pit mix. She just ran up to me like “Oh hey girl, how you doing? I’m ready to go home now.” 8 years later, she’s snoring at my feet. She rules.

Same thing happened to my family this dog could be my beau's twin. Someone dumped him on our road early morning and he was sitting in the middle of the road. My son stopped on his way to work got out to check on him he crawled into the car and he has been with us almost 10 years.

I'm terrified of meeting a homeless animal, I'd have to do something even if meant keeping it, but I've two cats and a dog already. But it would be ok if I was on my own, if an animal chooses you, you must be ok in some way lol.
Our pittie was 4-5 months old and alone (abandoned?) at a drive-through. When I saw him, it took a few seconds for it to register that he was a dog because he was so emaciated that he was just all ears. I opened the car door for a better look and he jumped right in - and, of course, has blessed us every day since then. 😍
@@love_in_an_echo_chamber Stop calling them pittie. They're pitbulls, shit you animal parents are annoying. And yes I have two pitbulls. One that followed my brother home from the grocery store.

@@beadnut yes thank u God bless the dog pick them out
Janine that is so true too!
You guys are Angel's in disguise. I bet buddy's glad he jumped into ur truck, he found his family and his forever home. God bless you all
