    How can you sell them the club without doing due diligence and having no knowledge or business information on tom hicks no wonder we had all those dark days

    • @antmo1966
      @antmo1966 Před měsícem

      It's the buyers that do due diligence not the sellers, it's to assess risk for their investment. The sellers do the best they can to make sure the people are up front and they seem to have tried to do this with Gillett. But there is no obligation for them to do this, or even for Hicks and Gillett to be honest with them. It's very limited what you can do as the sellers

      While the first commentor is correct, you gotta also remember that a lot of club owners are often in debt and perhaps in a state of panic when by the time they have to sell.

    The amount of disfuntional situations Benitez had to deal with under Hicks and Gilette, it's amazing Liverpool were even in a title race.
    Publicly offering the managers job to Klinnsmann for a start.
    Managers get plenty of excuses nowadays and yet Rafa wasn't even given the benefit of the doubt with those two cowboys. Parry is deluded to say the least.

    There's a reason Parry is called Coco the Clown by LFC fans. Sold us down the river with Moores and totally inept. Sold all the houses behind the Dalglish stand (which means we now can't expand anymore), Took us back about 20 years with our 'commercial' deals, sold us to Hicks and Gillett....cheers mate

    It’s astonishing to me that he only realised that Hicks and Gillet was going to be a disaster the day before the takeover was announced. How utterly naive from a man who at the time was considered to be one of the best football administrators in the business. I just don’t get it. And I didn’t get it then.

      Like all people in football and corporate life, its ego.
      He won't admit that he was wrong or plain incompetent hence why he will slate everyone else.
      I'm beyond tedium at seeing and hearing this b.s which is the staple of corporate culture that has ruined life for the many.
      They f**k up, they just get another well paid job. No consequences. Just rewards.
      Working people don't fuck up but their existence gets ruined by the incompetence & largesse of "business people aka CEO's".

      Yes. FSG have duped a lot of the fan base. But, people like us see through all those publicity stunts. Refusing to sign a centre-back during the defensive crisis (until Matip got injured) and not signing a midfielder during the midfield crisis cost FSG Liverpool dearly. Even, after the spending last summer, it's not enough. Endo is good, but he's not a game-changer like Bellingham, Rice or Rodri.
