As a moonstone, I always want to be like 'oops, do I look sexy?'. Accidentally sexy on purpose lol. By that I mean, just wearing tight/slightly immodest clothes that aren't particularly seductive but show the shape of my body. That fits with the vintage French girl look. Or hot girl next door, as I think of it. Love the vid! 💜

Yes that effortlessness and simplicity is what looks sexy to me. Ann Demeulemeester (idk how to spell it) had this grey knit dress Kendall Jenner wore before it was released and I’ve been obsessed with it from day one. That was the dress that made me reach this realization.
I am amethyst key though. But if I weren’t I’d be moonstone which makes me wonder what their similarities are. I’ve been thinking about it trying to connect them.

I'm here for it! The Aloof Dominatrix really hit home, like "YES! Finally! That's me!". Thank you, thank you, thank you - for pinpointing in such a clear and still deep felt way what I've been trying to express with my style 🌹

brilliant! I love this series and am constantly in awe by how much you can make any aesthetic, mood or type of clothes work for me as a left-down style key

As a moonstone and a soft classic, I really find that less is more when it comes to sexy or romantic styles. Even small details can quickly become "too much". Understated usually works best on me. I also find it sometimes a bit challenging to mesh my moonstone key style with being a dark winter in colouring, since so many of the recommendations seem to be for light pastels and other colours that don't work on me at all. I do my best to adapt them to my colour palette, but would love some tips!

Hello! I am a dark winter, and I believe I am a moonstone, also. I am realizing that much of my style struggles over the years have to do with the difficulty in achieving a light, effortless, luminous look using my colours! When I am honest about what I want, I end up gravitating towards more delicate greys and navys, pinks and violets within my pallete, using ombre and lightweight fabrics to create a soft effect, but black is easy to find and tends to take over!
I have alot of ethereal essence, which is also a challenge to use with dark winter. I end up looking like a witch, inadvertently. I have a classic influence, but it is too stiff for me on its own.
How do you personally work with moonstone in a dark pallete?

Ooookay, you've just stated 3 of my favorite vibes as a moonstone - i love all of them. I wasn't aware that we are SO similar. That leads me to the question if the "Lady Indiana Jones Safari Style" and "It's just a balloon sleeve, but now I am a pirate"-vibe is also universally common amongst moonstones?

Thanks Rita! I’m always excited for the video.

Can you deep dive into all the archetypes for flirty and sexy? I would love to get lost/found in that discussion ❤

I was always confused between Moonstone and Ruby and I finally think I figured it out. This video made me realise that I relate more to Ruby! "Showing and hiding" is so on point! It makes sense why I'm not a fan of dressing overtly bold or sexy. I don't feel much like myself then. I really value comfort but I also like to look "receptive" and approachable with a tiny splash of sexy. Almost like a sexy girl-next-door. So I often find myself choosing to dress this way!

I got told once by my older sister that I dress like a 30 year old mom. How do I break out of that as a "strong" Ruby key.

    • @StyleThoughtsbyRita
      @StyleThoughtsbyRita  Před 22 dny +1

Well it's only a problem if you don't like lt
But I would start with a type of clothes you wear often (eg t-shirt, midi dress, sneakers or whahever) and then use the concept of visual interest or keywords to think about a better or more authentic look. Eg if you want something more sensual maybe a tshirt thst is more fitted, has ruching or is lower cut or is a more "sensual" color - so the change feels easy

You can attract the type of partner you want by the clothes you wear. Remember that you can look sexy without showing skin.
As a man, women who show a lot of skin tend to stir sexual thoughts, but women who dress more conservatively create the long term relationship thoughts. Everyone is different, so what works for one person might not work for others, just be honest and say what you want because no one can read your mind.

Leopard/animal prints may be flirty but look cheap not sexy, IMO. Real leather & real fur is sexy, fake animal prints & materials are
    not.
