I have been really interested in the F35,
so I finally got around to fly it now!
It's heavy and I hate that the hover mode kicks in in the worst times to get me killed =(
But all around I love it, and am looking forward to more :D
This was not my most impressive game, but some decent flying in an unfamiliar aircraft.

I am a very skillful pilot with the F35. I play on Playstation, and I normally use hover mode to take out tanks. Here's a tip: When hover mode activates, keep holding the throttle down button to rise. Then, once at about 450 feet, it's a lot easier to switch into CTOL and remain alive.
The only thing I would say with my time in the F-35 is that hovering is very risky. Especially on servers with trigger-happy engineers and decent pilots who know how to spot easy kills like that. But as always, you're an excellent pilot. Keep up the good vids.
He used extinguisher in his loadout, after I disabled him it brings him back up to 35 hp, making my next hit disable him again =)

do you ever throttle "forward"? or do you only use afterburners and breaks when looping etc.
Question for you: Can you control the plane while free-looking? I ask because I see everyone go into thirdperson view to essentially look for their targets. I remember in BF1942 (still play), you could do front and back view in 3rd person, but I rarely did because I was a big fan of free look.
Also: Can you still do front and back 3rd person view, or is it only follow cam?

damn you are soothing to watch!! i love your vids and you are so smooth!! you make every trip count!! you don't go run and turn around you go one way get kills and as you are turning around your right on someone else!! it's awesome it makes me wanna go jump right in the jet!! i'm on xbox and i'm getting better still having problems killing infantry and making one trip count like that.
How do you spot people?

you can control the jet while doing this. But you can only speed up/slow down, as well as turn using the tilt that makes the plane go slightly right or left. (im not sure if thats the right word).
Yes I'm still bad at controlling it, I'm afraid to slow down to engage ground targets cause I don't want it to go to hover mode :D
It's color corrected that way for some reason on this particular map :D
Are the weapons on F35 more powerful than F18?

I only play Halo games on Xbox, so I would probably suck ass in a jet in bf3 there :D
But everything you see in my videos should translate perfectly if you can handle that controller.
Just keep practicing!
If you can keep your speed somewhat around 300-315 you will outturn 99% of all pilots in the game!

What went on at 5:35 in the vid? No one on your screen and you shoot and get a kill?
Whenever I try to fly a Jet in Battlefield 3, the opposing jet always shoot it down like immediately. And the servers I play in always have 100s flying the Jets and absolutely destroying the ground forces. This is why I can never be good in flying Jets. Oh well, I shouldn't be complaining much anyways.

Pichaya Sookkhoo 100s aren't necessarily good I'm rank 49 and I have no trouble sneaking behind their backs and taking them out, it relies on the enemy players skill not his rank
+D3RP TV normally you'd be right in games rank normally dont mean shit, however colonol 100's a very high percentage of the time are the ones in any type of vehicle usually doing 84-3
Pichaya Sookkhoo if you play on Xbox now days you could just purchase the jet perk bundle for very cheap and as long as you have good flight speed control down(235 ish) and know good dogfight maneuvers you can dominate too

If only the stealth jets in bf4 had rocket pods maybe they wouldn't suck so bad but infantry players cried about jets and got them nerfed
Really? Like The Stealth Jets that can hover as well? Pah, It's So much Easier destroying Air Vehicles as infantry in BF4. Especially if they are hovering
To be fair, jets are possibly the hardest thing in battlefield to kill. The stealth jet can completely stop a tank in its tracks, which is a death sentence, the AJ can take out vehicles in a single strafe, and neither one of them can be killed if you aren't 100% better than them. Land vehicles have this slightly, but because of the lack of AA options that aren't lockon (any decent pilot can counter lockons) air vehicles dominate the game completely.

why u not play in hardcore?
Now there is only 2 cams, inside and outside, 1st person and 3rd person, cockpit view and chase cam. You can free-look inside your cockpit, but sadly you can not control the jet at all while doing this =( I would've liked to be able to manouver the jet when free-looking, would be awesome
The machine gun might be slightly more powerful I don't know, but the F35 isn't even half as good at turning as the F18

I've been playing battlefield for years and i Just cant do it, I don't understand the technique. For me flying and getting more then 3 kills is impossible.
To be honest, you can only fly good when the enemies suck. If a lvl 100 comes, is the fun over

I've once flyed between these two towers and guy who was chasing me crashed in one of them :D
(add-on to my last reply) Personally, I prefer the F-35 just because of its flexibility. It also has less of a chance to be taken down easily, as it only has one rear engine.

They should have made the auto-hover on the F-35 player activated, like it is in ARMA 2.
This is an old video where you could not see yourself on the radar; they added that in a patch later. In my newer videos I'm always on my radar ;)

Cause there is no competition in hardcore. Every pro pilot, skilled pilot, experienced pilot, or even half decent pilot flies in softcore =) And it's more fun
Definitly. F35 is the slowest and worst jet in the game, while the F18 is the most agile and best jet. =)
The skill of the pilot however is often more important
F35 is the best jet,but it needs most skill.Not for newbies!

i swear really good pc players find servers full of mentally challenged people. any time an f35 starts hovering like he did a few times, it's almost instantly shot down by a tank or rpg or something in my experience on xbox

There are few manouvers which u can do to shake off tailing oponents.
