That dress looks fabulous ,can’t wait to see it finished.
Love watching your vlogs on a Saturday morning
Hi Deborah. Thanks for watching. I hope to finish the dress today. Curious to see what it looks like. Never made a dress like it 😊
Lovely dress and material! What a lovely relaxing watch! X
Hi Heather. Thanks for watching. Glad you enjoyed it. I nearly didn’t share it as I thought it wouldn’t be interesting. Who would have thought chopping veg would be a thing to share! 😊
I do love the cardigan you were wearing. The dress looks great so far. Looking forward to seeing the finished project. Pets for Alfie ❤️
Hi Dawn. My cardi is the Felix. I’m currently making my third version. Lovely pattern 😊
Love hearing the sound of the sewing machine while I crochet. Kathy from the USA 🇺🇸
Hi Kathy. Thanks for watching. Yes I love that sound too. What are you crocheting? 😊
@@yarnmugspodcast9123 Right now I have a mindless crochet blanket that I’m working on called “The Forever Blanket”. It’s uses only the dc stitch and I’m loving it. I’m also working on “The Coziest Memory” knitted Squares by Kemper Wray. I have pledged NOT to buy more fingering weight yarn until I use up what I have.
I love the dress so far! I love navy blue, really anything blue . Have a good week, see you again next friday!
Hi Deborah. Thanks for watching. I love blue too. Wish I’d made it all in navy linen. Think the stripes look like pyjamas 🤔
Lovely dress! I love the fabrics you’ve chosen. And hello to Alfie!
Hi Joanne. Thanks for watching. The linen was lovely to work with and I love blue 😊
I love the fabric you have chosen for your dress... looking forward to seeing it finished.. wee Alfie is gorgeous x x x
Hi and thanks for watching. Hope to finish the dress today. Everyone loves Alfie 😊
Your dress is looking lovely and I think you have used the two fabrics perfectly 😊
Hi Penny. Thanks for watching and your kind comment. We will have to see what the finished dress looks like. I’m having my doubts 😊
Love your fabric combination Sarah….looks like it will be a lovely cooling summer dress xx
Hi Eva. Thanks for watching. I’m curious what the dress will look like on me. Linen was lovely to sew with 😊
Love the dress, I looked it up online and think I will definitely try to make it, so many possibilities with different fabric combinations.
Hi and thanks for watching. Yes I think the pattern provides endless possibilities. Hope you enjoy making yours 😊
Hello Sarah
Can’t wait to see the finished dress. Another lovely video 💐🧶☕️
Hi and thanks for watching. I’ve finished my dress. Will wear it for todays Friday vlog 😊
Nice to see you have such a lovely day. 🥰
Hi and thanks for watching. It was a lovely day with my sister 😊
Love the fabrics you've chosen for your dress ❤ Look forward to seeing it all finished. Maybe your sister's dress too?! How lovely to share a craft you can enjoy together. Have a lovely Bank Holiday weekend - looks like we might even see the sun! 😊
Hi Caroline. Thanks for watching. My sister made a top version out of a pillow case and some broidery anglaise. Silly me forgot to take a photo. 😊
Lovely dress, you got through making it quickly. Looking forward to seeing the finished product. Alfie made me smile, my little girl shoes me her ' empty ' dish also 😊
Hi Val. Thanks for watching. I hope to finish the dress today. I made a few mistakes and the unpicking took a chunk of time 😊
Your dress is going to be lovely Sarah, your fabric choice is perfect. I would love to be able to make garments (I quilt and embroider and cross stitch), you’re so clever. Thankyou for a lovely vlog. Xx
Hi Carolyn. Thanks for watching. If you can embroider etc you can definitely sew. I’m not clever, just practiced a lot. Only been sewing a few years. I would love to patchwork. A quilt is on my wish list of making 😊
Can't wait to see your finished dress Sarah ❤
Hi Catherine. Thanks for watching. I hope to finish it today and share on my next podcast 😊
Hi Sarah, I really like watching you sewing and your '' it doesn't have to be perfect attitude '' many moons ago when I trained as a dressmaker every garment had to be perfect ! ........ now years on I find it hard to let my standards slip 😁 ...... have a great weekend take care xx
Hi Jenny. Thanks for watching. Don’t get me wrong, I do like things to look nice but perfection is hard to achieve and stressful. I am disappointed if it looks bad though. We will have to see what the finished dress looks like 😊
Morning Sarah, Saturday morning here 🇨🇦. How nice to have a sewing day with your sister despite the frustrations. Knowing you, you’ll have that dress finished today. Lovely to see Alfie too. He looked a bit cross but he’s still super cute.
Hi and thanks for watching. Me and my sister love a crafty day together. Hope to finish the dress today. I just had to show Alfie being aloof. He’s not always friendly 😊
Hi Sarah, I think your dress is going to look lovely, I love the fabrics you’ve chosen. My sewing task this week was to make a peg bag which I finished last night so I’m pleased. Thanks for the video😊
Hi Jackie. Thanks for watching. I love that we can use our crafty skills to make practical things too. Bet it’s a lovely pet bag 😊
Hi Sarah,
It’s raining here today. I love your cooking!
Hi Tanya. Thanks for watching. Who’d have thought that chopping veg would be interesting 🤔
So lovely to spend time with your Sister, dress is looking good, love the fabric. Barbara x💕
Hi Barbara. Thanks for watching. Yes I’m lucky to have a sister with similar crafty interests. We had a lovely day together 😊
Hi Sarah! That dress looks so cute. I haven’t sewn a garment in years, but you’re always tempting me to try again.😊 Take care! 🥰
Hi Sally. Thanks for watching. You have so many skills Sally. What have you sewn in the past? I love making my own clothes as I hate clothes shopping and finding things that fit my curvy body 😊
@@yarnmugspodcast9123 As far as garments, I sewed some little dresses for my daughters when they were little and I made myself a skirt when I was in school many years ago. 😁 I hate clothes shopping, too. I have good luck finding things at thrift shops.
I have just pulled that pattern out too! I wasn’t sure of size either 😊 love your fabric choices. Great vlog as always. Hello Alfie 😸
Hi Annie. Thanks for watching. My sister made a top. I want to finish mine today. Hope you enjoy making yours. What fabric will you use? 😊
@@yarnmugspodcast9123 possibly linen but I do have some quilting cotton with a wonderful geometric pattern might be fun to turn it as you did with the stripes. Look forward to seeing your dress completed 😀
Morning Sarah,,, 😊💕
Lovely to see you every sat morning ❤️
ELAINE 🏠
Hi Elaine. Glad you enjoy the vlogs. I nearly didn’t post it as I thought it might not be interesting. 🤔
Hi Sarah, have been enjoying your Friday vlogs. Wanted to comment today as I thought the dress that you have made is amazing. I think you are right about the pattern introduction it sounds as if it is encouraging non sewers to have a try. That’s me!! Also due to your encouragement I have nearly finished a Felix cardigan. Just the neckband to go….. I have enjoyed the make and can see myself making another! Choosing buttons could take me a while though 😊
Did I see another Granny wrap in the making? On my to do list too. ❤
Hi JJ. Thanks so much for watching. That’s great about your Felix. You will love the button band. It’s so well explained and looks really neat. Maybe sewing is on your horizon. I was taught by The Studio at Number 30 in Hitchin. I started with a cushion cover, then a skirt and after that you tube guided me. 😊
Yes it was another granny wrap, using leftover DK yarn 😊
Glad to see you working from finished sizes. So many people in our knitting group are often unhappy with what they’ve made because they didn’t make it to actually fit them, just went with what the pattern says. Shame after all that work. Perhaps you could have done what I suggest to them and find a dress you love the size of and measure that rather than you with a cardie on. I’m sure you will make someth8ng lovely anyway and have the skills to adjust if necessary 😊
Hi and thanks for watching. I always look at the finished garment size but happy to adjust if needed. What are you sewing at the moment? 😊
Nothing garmenty but the pile of alterations is growing! I want to repurpose a lot of my old clothes rather than buy more. Just need to take the leap 😁
I love this pattern. I’ve made lots of tops and one dress. It’s so much fun to play with mixing and matching fabric and pattern placement. Yours will look lovely and I would have gone for the same arrangement. Do you think the grey skies influenced your fabric choice?
Hi and thanks for watching. I bet it looks wonderful in a patchwork of colours. I knew I wanted it in linen and love blue. It’s very old stash too 😊
I'm sure your dress will be a great fit on you. Is that the Annaboos House Granny Wrap you are crocheting? I am doing it in 4 ply fingering (jewel colours) so I'm not sure it will turn out right:(
Hi Pamela. Thanks for watching. Yes it’s another granny wrap. I have a DK and fingering on the go. The pattern works for any weight of yarn. Just takes longer with thinner yarn. Yours will be lovely. 😊
@@yarnmugspodcast9123 Hope so!!
