Ah yes, the part where I sit behind the prop for 2 minutes
In an early super secret run, I seem to remember that Nick had the tubas at parade rest. Did that change towards the end of the season?
The good times
Did marching this show suck?
@@lolshark99b49 I’ll put it this way: in my opinion, we were a 7th place drum corps with a 13th place show. It sucked knowing no matter how hard we worked, we weren’t going to place any higher because we were in slotting hell for the majority of the season due to how much of a cluster our show design was. Not to mention our achievement scores were waaaaay higher than our content scores.
@@henryyoho1742 yep sounds like classic Cadets
1:18 quad player gave his sticks to Jeff Prosperie. Iconic.
Stephen A.yoooooooo that’s wild
That quad player is my percussion instructor!!
Ean Goreham shut up I bet you never marched anywhere good
SilverTheFlame >:(
Ean Goreham I’m jk b miss u and Tito and borat and buff Andy and waking our faces up and bunker hill ❤️
The drumline was insane this year!
They always are
@@Hunter-oy5if just underrated 🤧
Lol look at that Timpani player just sittin there at 1:02 wow what a goof.
bruh, kyle the cadet criticizing kyle the cadet
My favorite thing is when organizations get caught in a major controversy then use it as a chance to lecture everyone else.
Imho, I don’t really see it as a lecture - I think it’s more along the lines of introspection. They’ve been through a lot with the scandal, and I think this is their way of moving past it. While the purpose/driving motivation behind the show is understandable, I personally think they overdid it a bit. The way I see it, it’s out of their system now, and with the 2020 staff changes, they might be able to move on, cultivate a solid culture, and be “top 5” competitive again.
They really did them dirty by posting Do Better huh?
Not bashing the rest of the group of course but the battery was the best section by far. Although I do think it would have been better to use Estancia rather than "Do Better", I can see why they used this.
@@benvieira3895 didnt think of that, I kinda get it now
Seeing this show in person made me appreciate it so much more. I really like the repertoire they went with and while the visual aspects could've been designed better, I'd say they were performed very well.
Reminds me a bit of the 2003 and 2004 drum breaks, particularly 2003.
Hoping for a great 2020, Cadets! Best of luck.
well that aged poorly
Everywhere Cubes lol rip
Good shit battery. Excited to see next year!
If only we had a next year 😔
Should’ve used the closer clip, arguably the best part of the show, but this drum break is still🔥
Teagan Hershberger what’s a drum break
Prob my fav drum break in dci, it barely tops bloo 17’s for me
Honestly, this show grew on me a lot as the season progressed. Seeing it in person definitely helped with that. Still don't think it's their strongest one to date, but it's at least enjoyable.
I really like the part with Ben Coates
I came here because I finally felt like i needed to give this show and brassline a chance. Sure got a face full of brass
I marched this show. The brass section was criminally mismanaged in addition to everything else going on behind the scenes. We had a lot of energy but... we had a lot of weaknesses. So yes I'm a little salty that this was what they chose to upload, but at the same time it's not really a year I commemorate. I guess I can live with it not being up for display like that. That season taught me a lot, but mostly because it was a culmination of a lot of toxic undercurrents both at Cadets and in drum corps in general. The choice to exclude many of the most egregious symptoms (not just talking about brass section here) of what was going on tells you a lot more about this show than a high quality clip of the brassline would.
In short, I appreciate your kindness, but you didn't miss much. There's a vid of Allentown on here, it's actually not bad if you really want to get a sample.

Who who now
Best drumline on the field this year. Holy moley
Nope. 6th total placement. You may think that but combined scores for all three night...6th place..Percussion.
doug avila they are definitely in contesion for best drumline this year. just because the judge gave them 6th doesn't mean they werent better than a couple of the drumlines ahead of them and also played WAY harder music. *cough cough* everyone except carolina crown *cough cough*
@@seanstuller8522 That's EXACTLY what that means. That's like saying just because a figure skater came in sixth does not mean they were not better....YES IT DOES!!!!!!!!!!!! The other 5 were BETTER!!!! Duh.
@@seanstuller8522 wdym crown
@@503music6 carolina crown is the only corps that had beefier music than the cadets IMO.
Yes you can do better and please do
Not u drumline ;)

OMG I can't wait until DCI 2020!!!
famous last words
Oof...
Yeeeeeaaah about that
That aged poorly
The Cadets were always my corp - from the time they were the Garfield Cadets. I thought I was watching the Boston Crusaders or Crossmen. I love those shows, but it's a different style and caliber then I expect from the Cadets. I saw the Cadets come back out after the 11 minute mark of their show. I want to see a 'today's version of the late 80's-early 90's Cadets again.
you arent seeing that throwback any time soon because they arent supposed to throw back imo
2022 Cadets is seeming to be a pretty 90s-esque show
Boy did your wish come true with cadets 2021 and 2022
Not sure why DCI decided to use this part of the show in the video
Because the drumline was the only really strong thing about the Cadets in 2019
@@josiahcourtney5764 The hornline was great, they just had nothing to play. lol
Steven Behnke the hornline had nothing on the drumline tho lol
Because this was the best drumline of the year besides maybe Vanguard
Man they fell off.
Drumline is fire tho
One of the spiciest drum breaks of the season juxtaposed with the cringiest moment of all the 2019 shows imo.
I was hoping they would use this clip
i love when the drumline is featured over horns because its easier to get a lot of horns with skill than drummers with some skill in my oppinion. its never fairly ballanced
Audio is cringe
I've seen worse. Cavaliers had much worse dialogue
Los Papeles nah this is just cringe
Los Papeles maybe back in 2012
My goodness. I love the drum break a whole lot, but the first 30 seconds is giving my a headache
This is the moment they chose do do the preview on?
wait that was the highlight?
16 salty brass players
This is why they got fourth in percussion
5th on finals night. 6th previous nights. Overall...6th place.
@@dfa3366 ok boomer
doug avila damn you really hate the cadets drumline. You get cut or something?
I love the cadets DL. But do you care someone posted an incorrect statement? Jeez lighten up.
When did they get rid of their horns?
imagine pretending to be a dci fan and not knowing what a drum break is
Kind of sad what they have become... if they continue this path they will barely get into finals next years.
One of the worst shows of all time!
LoLshark99 B and you think your opinion matters, why?
ok
shut the hell up shark
Cadet's Behold was painfully "on the nose" as we say in film, where the subject matter of sexual assault was depicted overtly instead of metaphorically. Worse, the display of a naive princess being assaulted and thrown off a cliff by perpetrators, and eventually changing her identity and growing "wiser" is patently offensive, and accuses female victims of being naive in the first place. It shouldn't be her fault, but in this show, it looks that way-- this girl is callow and narcissistic and somehow deserves to be assaulted. Worse, because of legal reasons, the Cadets couldn't stage the punishment of the perpetrator depicted in the show. That's a problem because the guilty party is depicted as invisible, and goes free. The drumline, a battalion of mostly males 17-22 who are still virgins in real life end up awkwardly apologizing for organizational weakness and a lack of corporate policy and procedure to deal with sexual harassment ("We can do better") . This was one of the worst drum corps shows of all time, egregiously adding "Praise God from whom all blessings flow", saying that sexual assault was a godly blessing in disguise, a toxic postulate. Worse, having the assault victim, now wiser for her being assaulted, go out of her way to sing at the end "I will lay me down" is a confusing and uncomfortable lyric whose sexual double entendre is glaringly inappropriate. An utterly disastrous design with good intentions.
