Focused Musculoskeletal Assessment Head-to-Toe

This video demonstrates a focused musculoskeletal assessment of a patient with a lower extremity injury. It follows a methodical head-to-toe order and emphasizes the 5 Ps (pain, pallor, pulse, paralysis, paresthesia) of the musculoskeletal assessment.Detailed descriptions of each part of the assessment are provided during the video.

If this is a focused musculoskeletal assessment, why are you focusing on other systems and not just the musculoskeletal system?

A head-to-toe assessment should always include all basic elements while focusing on a particular problem area, in this case the musculoskeletsl system.
