Hi, May I know how I can schedule the next appointment for the NCLEX-RN exam once I fail? I can only reappear for the exam after 45 days, what about the taking date for NCLEX-RN, Is it possible within that 45 days?
How do doctors repair burnt lungs? Will lungs recover? In 3rd degree burn patients?
Excellent presentation. What about Theophylline?
Great question! Theophylline is a somewhat old medication with a narrow therapeutic range and requires frequent monitoring of serum levels. It therefore is not usually used much any more as there are a lot of other meds that don't have those requirements. I have honestly only seen it a few times in my nursing career. You may still encounter it in other countries, however.
Mam ,I belong to India plz accept my reverent respect to you ,Plz also tell if there is difference of 20 mm hg in systolic blood pressure in two arms in 39 years of age,is it significant or non worrying?

Is it possible to buy vitamin B12 injections online?
B12 injections in the US are available by prescription only.
Good Nurses are the back bone of a hospital. They often know more then doctors. Great information. I have respect to all nurses, without you guys a hospital would cease to function. ❤
Thank you so much for your feedback and the vote of confidence!
You explained this perfectly, thank you! If a child only had pulmonary stenosis, would they be asymptomatic initially due to compensation?
Thank you for your question. Sx will depend on the degree of the stenosis, ranging from no sx with adequate oxygenation to cyanosis, tachypnea, pallor, tachycardia and dysrhythmias etc. with severe stenosis as the blood has difficulty leaving the R ventricle and getting to the lungs for oxygenation. Hope this helps!

Hospitals need standards instead of a bunch of nurses and doctors who all say something slightly different it’s horrible how nobody is ever on the same page in hospitals.
Great point. Each hospital has their own policies and procedures on how to perform certain skills.

Can you explain how to prepare 0.45NS( hypotonic saline) i don't have a pure 0.45NS
I am not sure what you mean with "prepare hypotonic saline". Can you please elaborate?
@@NursingSchoolExplained there is isotonic saline 0.9℅ right?. Oky some countries always there is no available hypotonic saline 0.45?℅. Some people they prepare 0.45℅Salaine from other solutions like D5℅ or Ringer lactate to get 0.45℅ saline, so can you explain it how to prepare.
@@IimanCade I have never encountered this scenario. I would advise you to consult a pharmacist for mixing IV solutions to make sure they get mixed at the correct ratio. This could otherwise have bad outcomes for your patient. Not only would I worry about the concentration of the contents of the bag and any fluid shift they could cause, but also about infection control and sterility of the mixing procedure, if not mixed appropriately.
@@NursingSchoolExplained thanks alot

Cut myself real bad I had to wait my for my girlfriend to get out of work to bring me supplies .. I have a laceration in the upper thigh and was only using a regular bandage lol it’s like 2 inches long.. I’m Excited to try these strips on myself
Sorry to hear that. For a large laceration, I would recommend seeing a professional to evaluate if you may need stitches. I hope you feel better soon!
Thank you for the explanation :) Like many responses I've read, I'm vertical due to collaterals. I wish all of you the very best in your health and recovery - I have a damn good idea of what you may have gone through. I am 100% occluded, RCA CTO, LAD to RCA collaterals (8), LCX was same in 2 spots and collateralized as well. Its been a year and I have reduced the two LCX occlusions from 100% occluded to 90%+/- occluded and have had those stented. General health has been for the better since the 2x stenting of LCX. No more Angina and color changing fingers, hands, forearms and biceps (oh what fun that was - NOT), but still have SVT and Bradycardia, which has lessened a tiny bit. 1 more to go in RCA and we are getting close - maybe another year, or two, and RCA will be stented. Much worse in RCA vs. LCX. What to do after stenting since all this extra "pipe" (collaterals) are in use, but not necessarily any extra blood? Collateral Ablation? Leave it alone and let the body "work out the details"? Cardiology team is suggesting the later at this point as they are highly suggesting that once RCA is opened, we are likely going to have "different" issues to resolve. They are still shaking their heads that I was able to reduce the occlusion through lifestyle changes. Whatever I was doing, I turned an immediate 180 degrees and adopted the good changes immediately. How did I reduce the occlusions and how will I finally reduce RCA? I did what every doctor, school teacher, etc. has told us since we were toddlers. Exercise (need to have cardio in there) (walk to music that is 120bpm/130bpm/140bpm, and 150bpm), eat the right foods, control stress, control BP, HR, sleep, and the list goes on. 14 different "tasks" with the 15th task being time. I am just biding my time now. I have been a science project. I can see the light at the end of the tunnel and it is not a heart attack. And to circle back, timing was perfect. Had double hip replacement about 2 years before my heart attack and the surgeon said he wanted 10K steps a day out of me, so i started doing that. I book 10K steps a day before 6am now. Little did I know I was slowing getting occluded at the same time. What happened? Collaterals happened! I'm vertical. I win (for now).
Thank you for sharing your story! Keep up those good habits!
❤❤❤❤
Having this procedure, probably this month. Great information to have ahead of time.

Hello, thanks for your video. I have a concern, I am a 1st time test taker. My eligibility has been sent via email, I have account on pearson. I would like to schedule the exam but when I open my account. It says registration and then I need to pay 200USD for the exam but I have not yet seen the available dates yet. Thank you

I'm located in the U.S. All my videos refer to the National Council Licensure Examination [for] Registered Nurses (RN) in the U.S.
Your videos are awesome and explain the electrolyte levels so they are rationale and easy to understand! One question I still have for hypocalcemia is the Trousseau reflex...how do we differentiate that from the patient being Italian?
