  • Anna Ashton, Former Department of Defense Intelligence Officer & Founder of Ashton Analytics, discusses President Biden raising tariffs on Chinese imports and states this is largely messaging from the Biden Administration. She also shares her insight on whether or not these new tariffs will backfire as some of these Chinese imports are what the United States needs to transition to a green climate agenda. Anna speaks with Kailey Leinz and Joe Mathieu on Bloomberg's "Balance of Power."

Wow, how dare China manufacture more than they could consume and sell it on the global market? Only we can do that

U.S. universities teach that expert-led GDP growth is superior to import substitute industries! So why the reverse policy? U.S. universities also teach free trade, free markets, and free enterprise, but the U.S. government is doing the reverse. Arbitrary behavior and double-talk are the real games the U.S. government plays.

Even with a 100% tariff, they can still sell their cars at 50% of an American equivalent.

US talks absolute BS, so according to Tai, ANYTHING sold outside a country can be considered OVERCAPCITY i.e. selling beyond what you need in your own country... That includes ANY US subsides Agriculture + Any US subsided Chips that are it is heavily subsidised and mostly exported...

Regardless the tariffs companies will still manufacture in China and just past those cost to the consumer. From my personal experience manufacturing here vs China there is no comparison. USA manufactures cut so many corners and make so many mistakes and are still way too expensive unless it’s a high end industry like aerospace.

China is not emptying their unsold EV to USA because they were struggling to sell domestically. They strategically reserved them trying to repeat what the Japanese did to America back in the 1900s. The question now is...Which country is next on China's list.

China's 🇨🇳 has a faulty economic model, which is unsustainable.
The Chinese goods production system is *not driven by market behavior* but by Chinese government-directed investment.

6:10 and she said China imposed tariffs on US agricultural products and backfired.
Which planet does she live on? China is ditching US and going with Brazil and South Africa. The US farmers are going bankrupt !
