The Jawa Perak is a thoroughbred classic bobber that brings-in a lot of flamboyance and flair to its design. But, would you buy it for its form over its function and practicality? And, which other bikemakers should launch bobber motorcycle in India? Do let us know in the comments below.
Royal Enfield should introduce a bobber of 350cc that will rock the whole motorcycle market
Form can take precedence over function and practicality only if you have the money to spare or you want a bobber and NOTHING ELSE. Otherwise with the Indian buyer's mentality it is never going to corner any big market shares
So it is more practical or stylish?
@@AntoniOrszykowski to me its all style.
It's not worth it I'm telling you as an owner of perak since 11 months.
Buying a bike is an investment for long term so don't go with "love at first sight" theory.
No doubt the bike is head turner but that's only one aspect that most of the people give too much weight weightage on.
It is after getting it that I got into disadvantages that hit me really hard.
The rust issue- within few months rusting started from bolts to handle to cable springs of brake to rear disc brake to silencer pipe.
Because of rust I had to change whole disc pads and brake disc which itself cost around 5.5k rupees. (It's not covered in insurance ofcourse)
The suspension is too hard although it's adjustable the rear ones but still it's not sufficient, even a mild(not exaggeration) pot hole in road will shake you up literally to spine.
The clutch issue- I've tried tweaking the clutch but still doesn't solve the mysterious sudden engine halt randomly during ride.
The rear indicators- they are so flimsy it falls out of its socket and you won't even know, when I asked to stabilize it in service center, they says fix it with "feviquick"..Really???!
The after service- let me tell you everything can be forgiven if the issues are dealt professionally after all which bike doesn't have issues, but the after service of jawa once you have bought it PATHETIC, absolutely unprofessional. I'm based in mumbai and I have dealt with atleast 3 authentic service centers. The people over there are truly unprofessional, a roadside mechanic would be far better in professionalism. I cannot overemphasize on this part, people assume jawa as a premium bike company and buy it because of brand but they should recruit aftersale service men carefully, once you take your bike to them you feel like you have bought some cheap bike looking at those crooks looting and befooling you of your hard earned money.
Based on only this factor alone I wouldn't suggest anyone to buy a jawa bike.
(Mind you, I have mailed, messaged, chatted online, called numerous times regarding these to their executive all in vain)
Puncture issue- it's an issue which we have to deal eventually, perak built is such that repairing puncture for roadside mechanics find it difficulty and when I called service center they plainly refuse to do it saying puncture can be attended by normal mechanics.
Even the parts/accessories are really difficult to get on time even in service center in mumbai. I was without side stand spring and tail light for so many days just because they had to order such simple parts from idk where??
I know it's an accumulated frustration from a perak owner but hope to save as much people as possible from future investment into jawa.
This deserves way more recognition 😌
Would love it if you share this video with your friends.
This is my 2nd review on this channel in 2 days. First Himalayan and then Perak; I got to admire the reviews tbh. Apart from being a trusted website for many people, we can rely on video reviews as well
I'm in love with this jawa bobber. gonna buy it. bobber means minimalism and jawa took that seriously I guess. But nevertheless I'm gonna buy it. The power and pickup it offers is just amazing. Im mostly a solo city rider and not a great fan of touring. Gonna fill that tyres with formula x and that's it. Man Im literally crushing over this bike. I need it🤤 Earlier I was inclined to buy an RE but perak stole my heart at the first sight.
Ya bro it's power is amazing
Headlight, forks, side cover remind me of the stylings of the Royal Enfield Bullet 500. Beautiful bobber. Increase the power to 650cc+ and ship it to America!

Name Pérák is from Czech word Péra= Springs.. Its a name for 1946 model 250/350.. Later motorcycles of model 250/353 and 350/354 were called Kývačka... It looks good but not as good as Made In Czechoslovakia Pérák..
Why no bro
Why are you playing loud music while shwoing the exhaust sound? Couldn't even hear the sound well.
Does it have a switchable ABS?
Can 5'1 can ride this comfortably if not suggest other
Great scene while riding litreally lokking dop
I am 6ft. 2.5 inch tall and have a foot size of 12.5 , i tried my freind's perak and this is not madr for me.. so uncomfortable for a tall rider like me.

Not that true my height 6 feet also I have no problem for my perak
I'm 5.5, and this feels perfect.
@@rohitroll2119 5'5 and 6'3 is very different..
@@jayeshsolanki6387 everybody have their own way of comfort i guess
I haven't ridden this bike and only saw someone riding this yesterday in Chennai for the first time. It appeared really low, which is fair. That's how Bobbers are but the issue is the foot-peg. The rider was tall and I felt pain just looking at his legs cramped. Almost a squat. Another thing I noticed was that the rear was bouncing quite a lot. As if the rear end of the bike is literally made up of those 'crazy bouncing balls'.
Lot of improvement needed.
Great observation!
If you are not squatting on a Slavic bike you ride it wrong :D (joke)
The seat settles down once ridden it for few kilometres.definately not plush but becomes manageable.
I wish it comes to the philippines....
good review
Thankyou Avinash. Hope you've subscribed and hit the bell icon!😁
Why volume is taking peaks in between?
It completely takes out the feeling of a video..
Brother i love perak .
But mai new perak afford nahin kar sakta. Aapke knowledge main used perak mil sakti hai kya ...acchi condition me
why do I feel like I'm watching a Sagar sheldekar review.
Is it good for long rides like state to state rides?
no
No! royal Enfield is more comfortable. This is for city ride only and for showoff.
For long rides u have to be passionate, bike really doesn't matter.Recently (Feb'21) completed 4k from Pune to northeast Indian (in 6 days) on my Honda Grazia (125cc) scooty!! Solo!!! 😂😂

Fuck the ground clearance
Single boys
This bike is not for tall rider because it is cramped.
Yes, we've mentioned that.
Kind of a cafe racer
hardly offers any practicality, looks are and should be only judging criteria for this bike.
Seriously bro ? So if we compare this to royal Enfield ...would it get defeated in terms of performance ?
@@masheerkhan5147 bro, if performance is your criteria better buy the Highness. Much more reliable and smooth to ride.
@@ayushnegi7235 bro ,highness does not have the punch or acceleration of Perak the very very hard suspension and useless instrument console is the only shortcoming which cannot be fixed easily.
@@samridhsk1419 I know Highness suffers in terms of the Punch when compared to Perak. But perak can only be the 2nd bike in someone's inventory, as it is not practical for a common person's use. + the sitting ergonomics of Perak is not very comfortable, the space that it offers feel very content.
But from the sole perspective of buying a Bobber, it's alright.
@@ayushnegi7235 exactly not practical and lacks features but not a performance less bikes.
