We adopted a senior at 16 years old who was on a chain his whole life. 6 years later he’s still with us. Best dog ever ❤
Needed to see this today. Beautiful...
So happy for ALL of you... from the heart. 👌
🌍🌿🦋🐕🩵🙏🥰
How WONDERFUL!
So happy you saved them and are giving them a good life. ❤
LOVE!!!
That's awesome. ❤❤❤
Matilda!!! I love her, she looks like she is doing so much better and walking better from when you first got her. Francine is such a lady! World needs more people like you....
I was so excited and happy to get that glimpse of 'Tilda, too!!!
AMEN
Matilda is my favourite!
I always look f for matilda! You are right she is looking amazing!.
Matilda is just thriving at The Asher House!! All she needed was love and people willing to work with her. She just needed time to build up her muscles! If she wasn't such a sweetheart, she'd be a fierce looking dog!! See her soooo happy just makes my heart melt!❤
I adopted a 16 year old cat from a cat rescue. She only had one owner and had been given up because her owner had to go to a nursing home. When she got home she hid for a few days but then became a kitten again. Playing, biting peoples toes at night lol, going on the deck for fresh air and playing. It was beautiful. I had her for 3 years. I miss her but I know she’s in heaven now and one day I’ll get to hold her again ❤.
Bless you for doing that ❤
God bless you for doing that!! Yes God redeems his animals. She is waiting for you in Heaven!
@LJ-or3ig..
Thank you for such a lovely, heartwarming feeling, she's waiting for you in heaven where she is free of all pain. We also rescue cats, we began with a kitten my daughter heard in an alley, we currently have 4 boys, cats are as loving as dogs when loved and cared for, ours cuddle up and nap with us, they react to our love, they wait for us by the door and at the windows when we come home from running errands, we do not allow them outside but open windows, the door into the garage and leave the patio door ajar so they run up and down the stairs, enjoy the fresh air and watch birds daily. They understand when I ask them if they are hungry and when we tell them how much we love them. I wish we could also rescue dogs but our association limits us to 3 pets. May God and the universe bless you for being an animal lover. 🙏
@@lucycarbajal9979 thank you for being such an amazing animal rescuer!! Cats are amazing animals, so full of love and they bring us so much happiness. God bless you.❤️
Nice story.
I adopted my dog as a senior. She was 10 when I got her. She's now 17 and reaching the end of her life. But she's been the best thing that ever happened to me. She has dementia, but is still enjoying her snacks :)
💚
Blessings and best wishes to you both ❤
Awwww🙏🙏🙏🙏😇😇😇😇❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thank you for rescuing her and giving her so much love. What a lovely person you must be.
God bless you ❤️. So glad were able to give her so many more happy years and still counting. 😊
Every time I check, the subs keep going up for the Asher house, so please if you're reading this comment and you haven't subbed yet please, please sub, let's give Lee and all his amazing helpers all the help we can to allow them to rescue as many neglected or abused animals as they can, sending blessings from England 🏴
Thank you for this comment. When I came across Lee & the AH on YT I watched a few videos, fell in love and thought, hang on, and subbed! That was at 504K subs. The world is a better place with Lee, his team, Marion County and all who rescue animals. Love from Kenya.
I do the same thing!! I don’t know why he doesn’t have subs in the millions!!! Subscribe everyone!!!
I am a subscriber and i donate monthly🐾🐾💜💯💯💯🇨🇦
Yes!! Let's get Lee&The Asher House to 1 Million subs!
@@carolynsomerville me too, I would donate a grand a month if I could afford it.
The look on Simon's face - "What's happening? Wait! Am I going home?" What a sweet boy! They KNOW when they've been rescued and they're going home. ❤
Francine needs to go to the beach every time. She is not an “old” dog. Happy girl! ❤❤❤❤❤❤
I find it heartbreaking to walk by all those dogs and not be able to take them all home. 1:41
I thought the same, albeit from the dogs’ perspective. It must be so hard for them seeing other dogs leave, but they’re stuck there. 😢
My thoughts exactly!
Especially knowing that they know Lee's 'scent' by now I'd imagine. I'd like to think Marion County shelter treats them well.
Oh God, yes. I think that every time Lee goes inside😢

Kisses to Francine. I just adopted a past abused older dog. Best dog ever. His name is Oggy. And he loves us and we love love love him
I love it when seniors get adopted because they get to go be puppies again! I love how proud Francine was to have that stick, to be splashing around with Ranger. I’ve known some friends who adopted a senior believing that he was just a lazy old man. They brought him home and he was like a puppy again. The seniors need just as much love as the puppies, they get looked over all the time. When I decided my son was ready to bring a dog in (he had autism, is mainly nonverbal, and has some stimming issues I had to consider when bringing a dog in), I got online to look through adoptable dogs, it wasn’t about age, breed, none of that. When I saw Sephie’s pic I knew instantly she was mine (she was still going by Persephone then, I shorted it to Sephie Grace). She had been at that shelter for months, and they said she didn’t really get socialized because when they put her with the other dogs the big dogs would go after her. I know more now, it was 2 specific dogs that would bully her, and I wish the shelter had taken different steps. Keeping her sheltered has kept her very low when it comes to confidence and she is very reactive around other dogs. We are slowly working through it, and I mean the last two years, baby steps until she’s ready. She won my heart over completely when we went to meet her and she never once jumped on my son, like she knew he was special. Now she watches over him as he falls asleep. She is the reason my son put two words together (good girl) as he lets her. She adjusted well so dealing with his autism. Sometimes he can be very loud and have jerky movements, she knows that if she’s feeling overwhelmed or anxious she can go in her den and be safe. She doesn’t get locked in, her crate (den) is all about her. I hope we can all find a way to save all the beautiful dogs that end up on a euth list because they don’t have space. It broke my heart to hear a mom got put down while pregnant. They deserve so much better, they love us no matter what.
What a beautiful story. Thank you for sharing it with all of us. God bless you and your family, always 🇺🇸 👍 ⭐️
This is so beautiful.
I am happier than happy with my Maggie who I adopted from the Humane Society. OMG, she loves everyone, she loves to play, she's loaded with affection.. i couldn't be happier. Who let this girl loose? their loss, my gain. She's a joy.
Francine's face shows total joy. It's wonderful.
Thank you for your love and support for me and my career🎼, I hope that you will not stop supporting me😊💕💕 I am really very pleased that all of you have been around all these years of my career.I appreciate your support and warm comments, I want to say thank you very much I humbly appreciate you and also a blessed holiday God bless you✌️✌️

I had just lost a beloved 17 yo dog. I adopted a 12 yo blind poodle mix. She was the best and we enjoyed our lives for four years. Seniors are great
I think Francine is going to live for many years. She was running faster than puppy Ranger. My German Shepherd lived for almost 15 years. Then, one of my kitties died of cancer at only age 11. You never know, so you love them to pieces every minute you are blessed to have them. Simon has an adorable face.
I LOVE how Happy Lee gets on rescue days😊
We can practically feel it through our screens!! 💛
Understatement for sure! ♥️
I get happy on rescue days too!! 😃
Oh me too!! ❤❤❤
You could see Simon shift in your arms…. From fear to curiosity and hope. Thank you!!!
Francine is gorgeous, and so vibrant
Thank you for rescuing them❤❤
Simon has beautiful eyes and Francine! The joy in that dog! I’m still smiling!
My last 2 adoptions were seniors and they both were so awesome. Never a bad choice.
I adopted a 13 year old senior boy. He had a beautiful 3 years with me and my pack. Sadly, he died 4 months ago, just one day after being diagnosed with cancer. I'm so insanely grateful for people like you who give seniors a second chance 💙
Amen 🙏😇
I adopted a Sweet Dog at 10 years old , And I had him for 7 great years . Such a sweet boy.. Thank you Lee and team for all you do..

Welcome, Simon, to the big family. Rescuing, adopting an animal no matter its age, is the most gracious gift given to another living being. It's a promise of a new life and hope. Older dogs feel like puppies again and puppies get to grow up happy and confident. Thank you, Lee.
Beagles or dogs that look like beagles are so special to me because they remind me of a dog that I grew up with. When I was a young girl my Grandma adopted a Beagle named Scooter and we were raised together. He passed while I was in college, but his memory is still special to me. I remember playing with him and walking with him and petting him. He was such a special dog and Beagles are so lovely.
I adopted a big 12 yo boi because of Lee 💕 he just turned 16!! It's what I call a micromiracle and I am profoundly grateful to have such a wonderful dog in my life.
Matilda there at the end!!!❤❤❤ Francine truly is acting like puppy, so happy for her with this new life.🖤🤍
Simon's eyes are sooooo gorgeous ❤❤❤❤
That's what I was thinking. Such beautiful expressive eyes!
So clear and full of life ❤. Can’t wait for him to experience true love with his new Dad and siblings.
My grandparents had their chihuahua Boy from when I was a very young child until I was in my 30’s. I literally grew up with him , as well as my own dogs and cats. Boy outlasted them all. And he came to them as a stray, so not a puppy but acted like one 💜
My heart is completely broken seeing all the rest of the puppies being left behind, watching with tears how Simon was rescued while their life was left in limbo...There is a bitter sadness in their eyes that no one can see and feel....Right now I feel a terrible emptiness knowing that they would never have Simon's magical life...I wish all those puppies could follow Lee, ALL of THEM. 😢🐾😭🐾💔🙏😥🐾💔
Francine is such a beautiful girl, especially with her frosted face. It brings me much joy to see how happy she is. ❤😊
I love a senior dog. We adopted a 6 year old 3 legged black lab and it was the best 7 years of my life. Midnight had just a bit of puppy in him which was sooo cute. When he met a girl dog he liked and he started his "dance" it was heart warming. RIP my friend.
Dogs on a beach of their own = HEAVEN 👌
We adopted a 14 year old Daschund a few years ago. It was a Christmas present from my husband. Years ago we adopted a 10 year old beagle. He had 5 wonderful years with us. We spoiled him rotten. Good for you to adopt an older dog. ❤❤
Im over the moon Lee featured the little grey haired senior doggie who we now know as Francine! She has stolen my heart and has become my absolute pack favourite (which is really hard to pick!), but what a doll she is ❤❤
And there she was at the very end - our sweet, sweet Mathilda❤ I love to see all your dogs, but my smile gets bigger and my heart opens even more when I get a glimps of Mathilda❤
Me too!! Also Tommy Tom Toms 😊
Matilda is my favorite too, she has that smile 😁
It's awesome to watch Francine show her inner-puppy.
This is the first time I’ve seen Lee leave a shelter with only 1 dog! And I’ve watched from day one! Lol Much love ❤
Happy to see the dogs running on the beach, they are getting a second chance, thank you Lee, for all you do. :)
The best part of these videos is knowing that when they get to sanctuary Simon will be running free in the fields. There is nothing better. ❣️
So glad to see that u adopted Francine. And she now gets to live her best life.❤❤❤
What a gorgeous beagle boy! Three of our four beagles are rescues. Our family is so blessed to have these wonderful guys. Bless you for rescuing Simon.
I had a Beagle growing up. Her named was Millie or Mil Mil as I called her and she was just about the sweetest most loving girl EVER! My son wants to adopt and I think I have him talked into a Beagle! There is a Beagle Rescue near where we live and he may go there. Fingers crossed 🤞
Francine is amazing and adorable so happy she's with you ❤🥹
Pom Poms was an amazing senior 💛. Lots of love to the Beautiful Asher House family. 🐾🐾
Simon is classically adorable • Francine was waiting to start living an exhilarating life of adventure & companionship • It’s the love❤ that matters, not the time left!
The best was how you were smiling like a honeycakehorse all the way bringing her out, all the way you were sooo glad! So pure. Thank you always for your work for the dogs.
Another beagle! That makes me so happy. My beagle (also a rescue) is looking up at me right now, because I’m eating a sandwich, so of course she is. Honestly, beagles are so loving. They are the best. ❤
Isn’t it great to be worshipped like that?
Oh Lee! Your beaming face as you held him in your arms. So beautiful
Francine looks exactly like my first dog, Rosie. Rosie went so grey in the face, just like Francine, as she got older. My Girl made it to 17. I hope Francine has a beautiful life, and I wish all the dogs so much love! ❤❤
Francine is such a beautiful girl, no matter her age. She is so happy and so blessed that you rescued her. Simon is a dog who is ready to be loved. He'll be a great addition to the pack. Lots of love for what you do!
Love it. You can see the happiness in Francine. She gets to be a dog.
I so love that they go from a shelter cage near too many caged scared, loud dogs, to living with a huge pack of so many dogs without any barriers and zero fear ♥️🐾
Simon, what a beautiful boy!!! Sherman and Simon, what a great pair of buddies!! Francine is an amazing girl and looks at her loving the beach!! You, my friend, have a great eye for those babies who need you. Thank you for your beautiful heart!! Love ya always always!!🩷🥰🩷🥰
Rescue days are my favorite days! 🙏
Beach days are my favorite days! ✌️
I have a lot of favorite days. Lol❤
Another lucky boy getting to live with Lee and all the beautiful dogs
That smile on Francine’s face warms my heart.
Is it Rescue Day already?😊 Thanks for taking the overlooked, the unadopted, the seniors, the ones needing just a lil' extra love. Most of my dogs were considered "senior" at 8-10; the first lived only to 8 due to cancer, but the next 3/4 lived to 15/16. The last few years were hard, but also some of the happiest and most rewarding. Simon is sweet, and Francine is lovely, my kinda dog, black w/grey muzzle. And she lives for the beach, just like me!💕🐾🐶🐕🦺🌊🏄🏼♀️😉
It is so wonderful to see these dogs running around and having fun at the beach. You are a good man Lee Ascher for giving them a chance to live the best life they could possibly have.
Just amazes me how you can remember each of your fur babies name and how love you have for them.❤❤❤❤
Simon is such a sweet addition to the Asher family. I truly love what you do Lee. God Bless you always. ❤🙏✨🩵
Wishing all the best for Simon! Also, Remington (Remy) is another Asher House senior, a lab who seemed to be only half-existing, somewhat lowish energy, when handed off to Asher House. Just a few months later, there she was, happily going on all the pack walks, doing her thing, no more half-existing look. I'm guessing some extra vet care helped a lot in her case, but still, just seeing her now and comparing that to when we first saw her, it does my heart good! For some of these senior dogs, Asher House Spa and Resort has really turned out to be the fountain of youth.
It is so beautiful seeing these precious animals living their best lives! ❤️ Thanks to all for providing a sanctuary for these sweet souls. ☮️❤️😎
I know you and your team are very busy people, but I must say I love watching your videos so much that I wish you would post all day long. I never get tired of watching them.
Hi Lee hope you’re having a beautiful day
Simon is adorable and incredibly chill for getting out of the shelter. Will be a great addition! Francine is such a happy girl. The beach is my happy place too Francine. Run! Be free! You’ve both got a beautiful life ahead!
I'm so happy for this baby to be adopted!❤❤❤ I had a stray beagle Buddy. He was the best boy ever. I miss him soooo. Senior dogs appreciate life and love. They almost become pups again! It revitalizes them and ours, too.
Welcome Simon
He’s so sweet
Thank you very much
Lee for rescuing
God bless you !
Love the spotlight on Simon and Francine. All the dogs are having so much fun at the beach. Pickles is huge! They are all beautiful and wonderful ❤.
Gosh the smile on your face when you rescue a dog is contagious 😊
It makes me so happy to see all the new sweet pups and your darling resident pups too. Love you too Lee.
Absolutely beautiful. The Asher House is full of so much love, and those puppers show it!
I love Francine. She doesn't look her age. She's very young at heart. She is my kind of puppers. She's beautiful and ADOGABLE 🐾 🐾.
Grew up with drevers! They are loyal dogs with so much heart and couch potatos when they aren't out hunting or tracking! I am so happy for Simon to be with the Asher House! ❤❤
Every time I see a 'rescue day' video, my heart bursts with joy and hope knowing that these dogs are going to the best place to be a dog! Thank you, Lee!
Wonderful video of the dogs having fun at the beach, especially Francine. Lovely another rescue and Simon has the most stunningly beautiful eyes. Thank you Lee ❤
Francine is so happy to be happy & safe & free. Living her best life to the fullest. Ranger is so adorable & getting so much bigger every day. ❤🐕

Welcome to Simon! Lee, you can't walk by without looking at all the pups. 😊 Thank you for your huge loving heart that keeps expanding with each new rescue! ❤
There’s something so special about senior dogs - those sweet frosted faces. Francine looks like she could run rings around the others! Simon’s a cutie too! 💜💜
Welcome ,Simon ❤❤❤
Lee is right, puppies are fun because you see them grow, seniors are wonderful because you can give them a new happy life, and younger adult dogs are great because you can skip the hard parts of having a puppy. There is a dog for everyone 😊❤.
I just made a donation and I wanted to make it in honor of Mauve n Lillie but I didn’t see a comment section . I probably missed that part . I had just watched your video of Mauves passing . Lee you have biggest heart n beautiful Soul of anyone I’ve ever seen ( even online).🙏🏻 What you doing is just so special n the heartbreak you go through when you lose a member of your pack family is just so sad. I’m disabled right now so I am able to watch ALL of your videos 👏👏👏👍👍 . Thank you for being YOU. These special babies you save now know they are loved n safe . Thank You Lee n the Asher House family.
Aww what a sweetheart..thank you dear soul ❤❤❤
Greetings from Slovenia, Europe
I love how well your pack always welcomes the new dogs, it's a family of the discarded who all can commiserate with each other.
I rescue whenever I can. I had a long haired dachshund I rescued when she was about 6 months of age. She & I were together for 18 years. I lost her this past year & miss her. I have one of her pups who’s a Chiweenie & is 12 now. Like her mother, she is always at my side & very protective.
ALL dogs are precious, no matter what the age! Francine and Simon are blessed beyond any measure!!!! Thanks to The Asher House!!!! What a dream for ALL animals that are so incredibly fortunate to be there! God bless Lee, and ALL who are there giving their whole heart to these beautiful FURBABIES!!!! GOD BLESS!!!!!! 🙏🥰😊💕❤️🤗
What beautiful, profound words. Watching Francine scamper with her stick brightened my morning like a fireworks display.
And there is Simon, who is about to enter a life of love, freedom, play & companionship.
Love you, Lee.❤
What a lovely video. So many cuties . But Francine a sweetheart. So glad she will live her senior years to the full.
Everyday is Rescue Day!!! I'm loving this and Can we please give a shout out to Char!!! ❤
He is one of the rare people that can walk past other dogs in shelter and can say "I will come back for you." The walk out from shelter passing all the other dogs is never easy. Thank you for another amazing rescue day!

Lee Asher I am proud of you every time you rescue animals to your sanctuary to give them many chances to live their life out to a fulls life. They get adorable every time I watch these videos. You’re looking hot every time. Be proud of your self Lee Asher. Keep up the work Lee Asher.
I so agree. We adopted a senior Golden Retriever, Fonzie in 2021 he was almost 12 ( January 2022) Now 14 he is still loving life and we are loving him. He is a joy and a wonderful brother to our crazy 5 year old English setter Pyrrhus😂.....
Adopt dont shop and DO consider a senior!❤❤❤❤
Hey, Lee!! Thank You for updating us on Francine and Simon!! Just great dogs!! Love to hear good things about these 2!! You ALWAYS Come Through For These Beauties!! Thank You for everything that you do!!❤😊!!
Thank you for the 8 minutes of joy - to see that older girl running to get a stick is priceless. We don't consider our elders, so thank you Lee for advocating for senior dogs.

EXCELLENT Choice! Such beautiful pups at shelters.
My husband & I adopted 3 seniors a few months apart from each other. Only 1 was a planned adoption, the other 2 were foster fails. 😊 One lived 6 more years, one lived 5 more years and one lived 7 more years. We all had great years and family vacation, my husband cooked for them, etc. We gave them the best of us we could!!! ❤😊
