Thank you for actually trying to save the leg instead of just instantly deciding to amputate. That’s so annoying how vets do that but a human doctor does whatever it can to save a human appendage.

Pet owners don’t want to pay what it takes to save their legs.
@@lorirogers9304 Often, vets don't give owners an option to attempt to save the leg. A friend had that problem, and had to go to 3 different facilities to find one that would even try. $8,000 and 3 years later, her dog is fine & happy.
its a lot easier for dogs to get around on 3 legs than for a person to get around on one leg or do things with one arm

It's nice of you to say that about his staff on our behalf. Lee knows he couldn't do it (on this large scale) without his staff though, he acknowledged them & shows his appreciation in this video & he's done it in lots of his videos. He's an all round good guy, an absolute angel 😇

So grateful he healed so nicely. My golden retriever injured himself last week. He’s 100 pound golden retriever. He has a luxated patella on his back leg. We meet with the surgeon on Tuesday. I am beside myself. He is only three years old. This is going to cost so much money. I am an only parent with a kid in college. I don’t know what I’m going to do. I have no idea how I’m going to do this by myself
Have you considered a go fund me pages? I have seen dog owners on Instagram start go fund me pages for extremely expensive medical procedures...just a thought...best wishes to you and your Golden (from a fellow Golden owner and lover ❤)
@@joannepingtella8002 I am considering it. At some point today I intend to look into how that works. I don’t like asking people for help. But I think I have to. I just want my dog to be OK. I know eventually he will be. We just got to get to the other side of this. From what I understand we are in for a long road. I’ve watched the surgery on CZcams a couple of times so I can understand what he’s going to go through. I’m watching other dogs recoveries. I am learning what kind of rehab I’ll have to do with him. I’m not sure I can put him in an actual rehab because that cost a lot. I will figure it out. I just ordered an extra large dog crate. I’ve got to get a sling so I can help him support his backend. I’m going to put black tarps on my fence so he doesn’t see people walking by. Recently my township put a sidewalk in front of my house. Now it’s a constant stream of people walking by all day long. There’s nothing I can do about the squirrels. He loves chasing the squirrels. I wish I could explain to him that he can’t do that right now. He doesn’t get it. I am 100 pounds and 5 foot tall. like I said he has a three year old golden retriever. He is very high energy and very sporty. I have to be careful with everything I do. I can’t let him see me put on my shoes. If he does he jumps up in the air and does a 360. Then his kneecap goes out. And I have to put it back in. I am very careful with everything I do and say right now.
If my boss doesn’t understand then I can always find a new job. My dog comes first. Well my family comes first. Everything will work itself out. I don’t know how but I have faith that it will. I just keep telling myself that out of this experience only good will come. Just please pray for Lincoln. As all golden retrievers , well all animals are angels. . He is a sweet sweet sweet baby boy. I will do whatever it takes to help him. I am trying to shift this energy into something more positive. Obviously we are going through this experience to learn some sort of lesson. I’m not sure what that is right now. But the good news is that he will live. I can be grateful for that. I can be grateful that the weather is warming up. But this is not happening in the winter time. I’m just trying to look for the little things that I can be grateful for.
I am going to look into a go fund me page. Like I said I just am very uncomfortable asking people for help. I’ve been on my own for so long. This is on me. I should’ve gotten him insurance. Now I know better

You're a beautiful soul. Left and right people give up on amazing dogs for nothing, but here you are, putting everything you can into dogs nobody else would have helped and look at how incredibly he's doing! I genuinely wish the world had exponentially more Lee's. It would be a far, far better place.
We found a kitten one morning in one of the farms outbuildings where we were renting. Her leg was just hanging. I kept taking her to different vets trying to get a different answer than, "we have to amoutate'. Finally, this vet looked at me with utmost compassion and said, the nerve damage is to severe. I can't save her leg but I have a three legged cat who has excelled at all things kitty. She can still be happy and will adjust. She was the fastest cat in the neighborhood to where we ending up living. She ruled the yard and the porch and could outrun any cat around. We lost her 2 years ago but she was well loved and not in pain after her surgery. She was a tiny little thing when we found her but she was the cutest chubby girl her last few years with us. Glad u could save Chances leg

I am so glad you saved the leg. I was in almost the same spot with a cat and him having an open wound. The vet did a light treatment on the skin and has taken several treatments but it is working. Stay positive! Love love guys.😊

Because of Lee and the entire Asher family, Chance, a beautiful dog, received two incredible chances. The first being that you took him in anyway with infection and a possible amputee. Now, amazingly, through the proper medical care, he has no more infection and his leg was saved. Just look how happy he is jumping around with the pack😅😅😅😅 All the thanks to Lee ND the great Asher team.❤❤❤❤❤❤

Amazing!! If a person didn't know about his injured leg, or which leg, and how bad it was, he or she would never know he had one. No limp or nothing. Thanks to everyone, because it took everyone to help save this pretty boy's leg. Especially, the vet who said/felt his leg could be saved.
