I’ve done all of this and have used a lot of different chargers I have to literally power my phone off to charge it😂

Wat u gotta do is turn it on if it’s off then turn ur phone all the way off then wait a bit then turn it on but before u put the charger in get some toilet paper then clean it out then try too charge it because it worked for me

guys, if you tried evrrything in the video and it still won't work, try going to Face ID & Passcode in Settings, then turn on the allow acces when lock for the "Acessories"

i realised mine wasnt working properly it was dirty and it looked burnt so i switched it to the iPhone one then it still shows the sign but sometimes it works

Oh it’s an error that means that phone not charging right? I just got that message when I was charging my phone I got so worried so I went to CZcams to check out what that alert on lock screen was all about. I did notice my phone was not charging so what I did was re put the charger in and it’s charging fine now.

I’m having this issue right now on my iPhone 7 Plus. I’m a little worried. It takes me about 5 attempts before the phone detects a charge. What if it’s the phone and not the charger itself? What if there’s something wrong with the motherboard?

Please I hope I’m not late but this is what I did. When the notification pops up all you have to do is unlock your phone: go to settings: click Touch ID and Passcode (I think it’s like that?): scroll down a bit and you’ll see USB accessories: turn it on and it’s fixed :))

My iPhone charger is fine but I get the accessory thing it only charges while it is out of battery. Which means I have to change the accessory setting

No offence but while i'm glad you have helped so any people (seemingly) here in the comments section, for me, the advise you give is basically the same as calling a tech guy and them saying "have you tried turning it on and off?". Honestly, how any of your viewers had an epiphany moment from "ohhhh, CLEAN your devices!!! Got it!" is beyond me...like...come now, how was this not step 1 for you guys?? If, like me, you had basic common sense before coming to this vid, it will not help you.
I have gone through so many cables, due to this problem, my phone charges no problems then, I notice my battery is low, so I plug it in, and I get the unlock iPhone to access accessories message, and that is it for my cable, I have not found a solution yet to resolve this. The charger (like a USB plug) is no issues, its just the cables. Now, you may say, oh your cable maybe faulty, but it works on my iPad, my mums iPhone, iPad, my nieces learning iPad, her personal iPad (kept at different address), with my sisters iPhone, and iPads as well as past half broken phones. This seems to only be my iPhone, but rarely one of the other devices will say this too. My phone is always locked when I get this message, and yes the setting via passcode etc section has the accessories set to off. I have yet another cable that this is happening to, and its my last cable too. The hunt for a fix continues

I just went to settings, passcodes, entered my passcode and then turned on usb accessories "UNLOCK IPHONE TO ALLOW USB ACCESSORIES TO CONNECT WHEN IT HAS BEEN MORE THAN AN HOUR SINCE YOUR IPHONE WAS LOCKED"
I sleep with my phone charging because my phone is playing while I sleep. The bright light kept waking me up when that message would popped up. I didn't have a problem with my phone charging... that's why this video didn't help me - so I had to look a little deeper myself. I hope that helps good luck!
