I also liked this lidar gun, very easy, heads up information, excellent in rain, and being on the motorcycle I wholeheartedly agree with the compact size comments. I can see it being a very effective speed enforcement device.

Quick question, so i live here in Washington state and i been laser with one of those lidar guns within the same week by a motorcyclist officer in the 405 and got ticketed twice. My radar didn’t caught any signals from the laser which is weird and i got a escort max 360, is that normal or what solutions would you recommend other than slowing down of course lol i tought of upgrading or even laser jammers
Sorry yeah totally normal. You’ll want to get a laser jammer to go with your detector too. I like the AntiLaser Priority best, but there’s also good standalone jammers like the Adaptiv TPX and the TMG A-17.
Can you please make a radar detector 101 video for newbies? For example I have no idea which ones to buy since I’m in California. Also don’t know if it detects LiDAR.

Hey I just got my R8 installed with the blend mount and wire tap, I read your setup guide on the R7 to kind of setup my R8 I also put the segment for ka band, but I have not received 1 KA band alert and I have seen over 4 cop cars, what is going on?

Any recommendations on how to get your hands on one? lti hasn't replied to my request for a quote (no I didn't say that I wanted it for testing laser jammers).

From my end I HATE all Lidar guns. Here in Au they are only used by cowards hiding in bushes practicing highway robbery.
Never seen one used in front of a school or playground, only downhill in the middle of nowhere.

Have you ever considered going a test of radar detectors ability to detect LiDAR scatter on a vehicle being check in front (or behind) you? I know the current thinking is that if you get a laser alert, pull over and get your ticket, but I must be the luckiest guy on earth. On several occasions, when the trooper was shooting from an overpass in Georgia, I received a laser alert. I know I wasn’t the target, as they came down and pulled the car over in front of me. I’m just curious.
I have before, but it’s difficult to do accurately and is largely a waste of time and energy, IMHO, given that even with great sensitivity, a radar detector is the wrong tool for the job. You’ll want laser jammers for any semblance of reliable protection against laser.
I believe the V1G2 is the best bet if you're hoping to benefit from scatter detection.
