How to CORRECTLY change fuel filter on 1.7 CDTI Vauxhall / Opel / Chevrolet engines. This instructional step by step DIY video demonstrates how to prime the fuel filter so you can get the car started again. Alternative priming method also explained. Follows these steps and you will be able to start the car again (if you do not prime the fuel filter as shown the car will not start due to bubbles / air pockets in fuel system!).
Method shown on Zafira B which requires additional step of removing the scuttle board as shown in the video, in non-Zafira applications of this engine you can skip the scuttle board removal step.
Parts & Tools used:
Bosch Fuel Filter: N 2093 / F 026 402 093
10mm socket for removing scuttle board bolts
T27 - T30 bit for removing fuel filter bolt
