Ahead of this week’s gigs, Baz & JJ have a post tour debrief and discuss audience reactions, emotional moments & the response to Toby. www.thestranglers.co.uk
Saw you in Manchester and you were fabulous. Toby played Dave's parts with total respect and flair. There was a LOT of love in the room for him and the band. The way you guys have survived the years and still play those songs with love and passion... oh boy you're just the fucking best. I've loved The Stranglers for 44 years and you just keep going up in my estimation. ♥
Loved the Glasgow Saturday night gig, great set of old and new songs. The highest compliment I can give Toby and I hope this isn't being disrespectful to anybody is.....if you closed your eyes during the gig you would've thought it was Dave playing. Thanks again for a brilliant gig guys 🐀🐀
Saw you at Cliffs Pavillion in Southend after a two year wait(15 Feb),and nobody in the room was disappointed!Superb as always, and the tribute for Dave you guys did together brought a few tears and you could hear a pin drop in the audiance as everybody paid their own respect!Thank you!🖤😎
You were all fantastic ! I was at your Bordeaux gig and really enjoyed it. I think you are now at your best, after all these years! Incredible really but that’s the way it is
Best sausage rolls are the Cumberland ones at the Rheged service station shop at Penrith.. centre of biking heaven as far as roads go. Saw the Manchester show in Feb, going to Wolverhampton next week !
Guys saw you in Bristol and it was an absolute pleasure, a nice birthday sing song for JJ👍Toby was awesome btw. my t-shirt said final full British tour.are you going to tour again? Wasn’t my first time seeing you guys, the sound was incredible. Baz, your an icon of comedy between songs 👍 thank you again for another awesome night. Big love to you all been a fan since the beginning.
@@tenerifereddog3943 Good that you have that good impression of my country, come back soon 🙌 I wish the stranglers come but unfortunately they are not known here, I think I will never be able to go to a concert of them
Well ...Wish I could of caught this tour - But from the gigs I've seen in ytube you must surely be one of the hardest working bands in the biz - fk me that's some schedule you did [again]-Just like to say I noticed Baz with some well punked up overdrive guitar tone here and there [Oi! days sound] I think on Death and Night - I recon you could rework some tunes in that vein ,see what happens just for the crack of it , why not ? - Great keys and drums too fair play to those guys for sure that was respect if ever I'd heard it - Really enjoyed the blog from Baz ,especially the interest in the architecture [of all things] of some of the places you played and just how he describes what it's like to get up to speed [or not] as the tour progresses - I know you'd probably deny it [and I'd believe you] but fook there must be days you wake up and think 'not again'...-Great to hear JJ is still inspired and has a headful of ideas still - nice bass tone on the old stuff seemed more up in the mix this time round - I'm trying to find the gig where he gives the sound guy some .. What exactly was it that happened ? something ended too soon ,I cant remember the track ,was it at an Aberdeen Gig from a previous outing ? You see if JJ hadn't reacted I'd be none the wiser ,I had to watch it a good few times and I thought I'd saved it but I cant find it now .. Also something got me wondering : Have you ever thought of doing 'Turn The Centuries Turn' ,Live ? You must of played it for the MIB shows , but I cant think of any Live versions ,can you ? Enjoy the last two shows of this period and get back to good health right - Oh- and if you should see Dave? ....I recon he'd be well chuffed lads , absolutely no doubt about it .

If they had not taken the jabs they might have joined Dave. That would have been nice for us Stranglers fans wouldn´t it!
