Thanks for this. Followed it to the letter and it was pretty easy. Was really ticked off to discover that the dealership who had been doing my oil changes did not put an O-ring on the oil filter boss. There was nothing there. Even ran the used oil through a sieve to make sure it didn't just fall off when I pulled off the filter. Nope, nothing. Anyway, I didn't have one, but I'm going to get one for the next oil change.

I got a 2022 Suzuki Burgman 200 and just hit over 600 miles and my oil change light popped on.
I bought it new at a dealership with 1 mile on it. The dealer said I could do oil changes and what not and still be under warranty as long as I saved my receipts.
What has me curious is you keep mentioning this 3000 mile interval yet I’m only 20% there and my bike wants me to do an oil change.
Anyways thanks for this informative video. I hope you respond but this video is a good resource none the less.

As hard as I rode mine for the first 300 miles, I didnt have a filter and just changed the oil. When my filters came I changed it at 600 miles. There were shards of metal flecks in the oil at 300 miles and very visible bits in the filter. I saved it so that I could show people. Normally I would be a little worried but I watched a video about break in and it proved to me that I have nothing to worry about. Another video I watched later from a lubrication specialist confirmed my belief in changing the oil very early because of the metal shards and he was talking about new cars not motorcycles.

i almost bought one today. a 2018 with 320 miles on it. $2.899. i called them this morning and i told them i wanted to know what drive out price was. and he told me $4.792 i freaked out. and he told me its almost a new bike $250 for a oil change. $900 for a 1 year warranty thats only good at his shop. thats 300 miles away $400 for a 60 point inspection fee. and the rest was TT&L i told him no to everything but the TT&L he got it down to $4100. it still didn't add up then my interest rate went from 6.5 to 12.9%. i told him to keep the bike. then i check their reviews and they had 2 5 stars 1 4 start and over 130 1 star ratings. its to late this weekend but i will start looking again Monday for another one.

@@DirtRider22ait’s 2024 right and I found one that’s new and a 2022. Also I’m in Washington, the fastest growing state, and this thing sat for over a year at this dealership (was originally $4,999 msrp but they knocked it down to $3,499).
Out the door price was $4900ish (I think $4902 or $4903). Plus since it’s new I have a $0 service deductible at any Suzuki dealership. Things like oil changes still cost money but the dealer I bought it from said I could do them myself and just save receipts and still be under warranty.
I love it though. Even though it’s a “scooter” it’s still a motor bike in my eyes. It has no problems keeping up with my friends on the curvy back roads. Love equipping my sena spider st1 helmet and chatting while riding with them. Solo rides with music are pretty dope too.

If lifting the bike onto the center stand then just put all of your weight onto the stand and pickup on the grab handle. If trying to get the bike off the stand and it’s slick then do it off the bike and put your foot in front of the stand on the ground to help keep it from sliding while pushing forward.
