Very nice finishing, however have you checked what's the temperature with that aluminum ? i have done something similar for my project but i brought a small heatsink on top of the IC directly for aliexpress

Yes but not recommended because it will take very long time to charge.
Instead you can use IP2312 module for fast charging.
