Is this link a subtle hint I need to use Rog to get my axe?
@Zizaran can I use this in 3.23?
That Pathfinder overlay on 1:47 was pretty awesome. Small things like that are great. And thanks for the great intro to the build, crafting and warnings of the gameplay/mechanics for new players.
Hello ZiZ i am now subcribed for over a year now on twitch!
..and i wish i could support you more!
I play for some thousands hours now, so i probably not your main audience when it comes to build guides.. but i appreciate all the work you do for new player and the growth of the POE community!
Greetings from Austria! (and try to die less than you do)
i always already mucking around with this build and now u give me a new guide to look at and compare i love u
thanks for the league start guides keep up the great content
im hyped i planed to strat this build anyway so thx for the guide and gl everyone
I like melee for going through the acts. Have double strike linked to ancestral call and melee splash with a 2 handed sword, have leap with a faster attack support, blood rage on left click or withering step just pretty much bouncing across the map at maximum speed. Makes leveling kinda fun.
Carn_ is not goin to be happy
NOWAE
Who
ty ziz… i played HF totem last league and i enjoyed it , very simple game play … i want to go with a completely different route .. im gonna go with this this league !
Gods your build guides are so much more developed than your competition.
Omg sooo gooood PoB , thanks mate , is my first time
Ain't no way, i was talking with my friend about me going Boneshatter, and u just launch this awesome video
Thank you so much for these guides, they're the only actually beginner-friendly and truly league-start guides I've found. So frustrated with the guides that are like "good league start, all you need are these few uniques to get started" and then those uniques are hundreds of chaos even in standard.
Especially in standard my dude its giga inflation everything is more expensive there recomend playing league
@@Kenjiin942 Very true, I wouldn't even bother looking at standard prices it will give you the wrong idea. You might be able to go in poe ninja and go back to crucible week one and then check the prices. I think you can do that, I might be wrong though.
Then you are probably very bad at doing the research. There are many many more good starte build chanels
100% true. Started with the dd elementalist and i'm already killing shape and Elder guardians with the rares i crafted/bought with a 27c budget.
i had to get a omni amulet and that was 18 divines, my dumbass chose the expensive build
The soundtrack is amazing this league!
Hey Ziz, I love your build guides and would like to suggest an extra for your guides, which would help beginners a lot, but are probably requiring a lot of work: Item Filters for each build.
That would help all beginners or not so experienced players to easily spot potential upgrades for their build specific or if they want to change their build to test another starter they could already change the item filter and find good items for their new build.
They never wanna be responsible for your loot, people will blame them if they dont drop what they need
@@ChunkyLover69420 Really? In my mind that sounds ungrateful. It probably makes sense for more experienced players, but they can and will modify the loot filter, but for new players having a fraction of the items to worry about and look at would help a ton since they do not know what they need or want, but the people creating a build do know.
one day we'll get to see Ziz league start bone zone
Hi Ziz, am using this Build now and it's really good, can you add the regexes? (to filter dangerous maps) ?
@Zizaran I'm doing a boneshatter jugg in 3.23. Is there any disadvantage in putting Ancestral Warchief in the same socket group as Ancestral Protector? Sure it's a bit clunky if you summon 2 totems at a time and having 3 max. But it would share the Maim Support.
These intro-videos are perfect, I hope someone combines them into a short-film
Can you explain the gems slotted in the weapon a little bit more? What gems need to be linked in the weapon
Mh, the Boneshatter build from @Woolie looks a bit stronger or im wrong?
Damn nice Intro haha
I have a question as a completely new player ( started this league ). Can't seem to find any info if I should use a transfigured boneshatter or just the standard one ? I tried running boneshatter of complex trauma, but that felt as if my hp was gone in a few hits... Also got boneshatter of carnage and that doesn't seem to apply trauma or I'm just blind and can't see it in the description. TIA 🙏
Hey ziz, is there a filterblade preset designed for boneshatter jugg league starts?
@zizaran Is this build still useable or will it be updated for 3.23?
Can't go wrong with a Rog-blessed PoB code.
bone saw is readyyyy
any recommended tattoos to use to replace the str nodes?
What is the purpose of doing warlords at beginning of the map only?
Will be nice to have video with tier list for new player. What is really easy If you dont know how to trade, craft, etc
Herald of Ash + Brutality? I assume this is just for the explosions? If I use an enlighten which aura would be better/added? Pride over herald of Ash makes sense in my brain.
SLAYER FOR EVER !!!!
Is it somehow possible to generate rage against unique enemys?
POV: You’re going to the bone zone
Love the intros lol
what are the pantheon powers for this build??
hey, quick question about Boneshatter. Is this build possible to do Uber Bosses and Mapping at the same time? Looking for a build that I can use for basically everything
This version is great for maps, but not so great for uber bosses. It tends to get one shot by anything that pierces resistances. There is a maxroll version that is a lot more expensive that can do both using Ashes of the Stars and some expensive jewels. I switched over to that once I had enough currency in order to complete the highest level boss content and that could facetank most of the hits from uber bosses.
What’s diff between Slay and Jugg ?
hey, first time watching your vids, do you intend to upload more options for league startes ? personally I dont really enjoy the ones you have uploaded till now, but I'll maybe try toxic rain tho, thx
Take me to the Bone Zone pap!
Can you make this build work with a 2H Mace?
This is what I was waiting for
Wasn’t really interested in the other league starts builds posted
well for boss dmg i can say is 3 stars , maybe i can give 2 , because i played bonezone with 1k dps axe , mageblood and progenesis flask and bossing was still not crazy , im talking 70-80 trauma stacks with around 50% life recoup , alt qual arctic armor , crazy phys as fire mitigation , but for league start the build is super fun
defence is 5 stars , if u have decent gear after first week , u are near impossible to die! The only time u die is when u are not used to the trauma stack and hit yourself to death
the rest is accurate in my opinion as someone who played jugg till 98lvl + it was my league start last league
the build is crazy good for 5 or less div investment. but if you have no ceiling and put 300 div in it it will be outperform by every other build out there. Thats why its good for league start ;)
Do you have a pob of your build? I'd like to see what gear you can get eventually
atm is scuffed , mb is on another char , progenesis i sold , but overall if u get 700+ pdps despot axe with 20%+ attack speed u can do all bosses , just sux for ubers@@9jaymie
I absolutely love these intros. they are charming, original, and best of all, corny as hell.
i'm only watching those guides for intro part :D
Is this build still good for 3.23?
well, so, for Softcore... Jugg or Slayer? :D
did practice runs with both of em and tbh, both felt actually quite good.
Choose what you like
wait... im confused.... you say in the video and show a Slayer start but the pob says Marauder?
whats the mtx used in the game play section? looks mad nice
Mercurial body armour, the soul harvester's cloak (sometimes black hooded cloak), silver wrangler helmet, wasteland horns, colossus axe with insatiable malice weapon effect.
That's about everything that you can see that matters.
-Skryah
Please make 3.23!!!
Is it worth muling splitting steel over at league start? Or is ground slam actually pretty good? I've seen people go both ways
I league started bone zone last league and ground slam felt great. I say this as someone who's typically a champ andy and levels as steel skills. Steel skills just don't feel good to me without master of metal from the champion ascendency.
Muling duelist is great for wisdom scrolls and free chance to bleed. I personally like going spectral throw + bleed (+ volley) in act 1. Feels pretty good
Why 2H Axe over other 2H or even 1H weapons?
i'm following this build since the league started, but there is a node called "hematophagy" which adds 40% increased damage while leeching, why u didint use it if ??
Impale 90% good or need only 100 ??
I genuinely thought that Carn would just spear Ziz when he started talking about how Juggernaut was tanky (ier than Slayer).
BONEZONEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
I guess this is my backup plan now, instead of RF jugg.
Plan A is a bit of a meme: cold to fire ice crash chietain. The free support on chest will make my inevitable 4 link limitation feel better, and i get to smooth out ele resists via fire res being half ele. The downside is that i have no experience buildcrafting and won't be using path of building. Also xbox player, so the marketplace is just the worst it can be.
How can you turn bonezone into a boss killer
Essence Drain/Contagion when?
me encantan sus intros
anyone know a decent loot filter for this build?
Here I go boneshattering again...
Why can't I use "the wrong" skill gems? Does it ruin my levels?
Got a question. You say that you are using two totems (Protector and Warchief), but also say that you are using Berserk. I am not sure how you are using them, since your PoB shows not enough sockets to have it all.
Per PoB link (import into PoB):
Chest - 6 sockets (PoB shows all used)
Helmet - 4 sockets (PoB shows all used)
Gloves - 4 sockets (PoB shows all used)
Weapon - 6 sockets (PoB shows 5 used)
Your PoB has a 2nd weapon spot in the skills section with the note --- "doesn't have to be linked to the set" ---- This has Berserk and Warchief in it. But you only have 1 open slot on the weapon. I am not understanding how you are using all of it together since you show/talk about using one more skill gem than there are available sockets?
Is this build pretty much the same now in 3.23?? I know the divergent boneshatter was pretty strong, but besides that, this build should be good to go?? About to start my first ever Hardcore run xdd, stay sane exiles
Is it marauder??
Does anyone have the Slayer version of this?
I'm playing softcore so I'll take the extra damage over the tankiness
"Need to know how to craft" What do you mean there? Like essences and bench crafting or something more advanced (and costly)?
Every build in Poe will be playable on simple essence and basic bench craft options, but to get the most out of any build, you will need currency and knowledge of how to properly craft with meta, harvest, betrayal etc.
Question, Newbie here..does the flat accuracy === main hand accuracy rating? without the buffs from precision? or all accuracy aura included?
Your current total accuracy, including buffs.
What about Stormshroud Unique Jewel to also get Freeze and Ignite Immune?
it's nice I plan on getting it cause ignite kills me sometimes
If many people go boneshatter, does that make the build overall cheaper or more expensive?
Makes the gear and awakened gems really expensive the more people that play. Supply and Demand and such.
more expensive in the first 2-4 weeks for sure
Would this work with glacial hammer+frostbreath+trauma support?
Yes it does , but u need crit
that's a betrayal, jugg peepoClown
What should I do for the Bandit Leaders, for this build? Just kill them all?
You can see what bandit to take, under the config page in pob
@@chriisxD Awesome, thank you!
Why does he show recipe for a sword when it doesnt work with neither ground slam or sunder?
why not use vaal ancestral warchief in the totem setup with maim and multiple totem support?
Most people think of it as an optional upgrade. It's probably not included because there's little gaurentee you'll see the vaal option in a fresh league.
@@MrJosh6889 yeah its kinda confusing, cause in the midgame skillset a normal ancestral warchief is linked with ancestral protector, multiple totem support and maim support.
so i'm concerned if there is something i overlook, or just slightly error by ziz ^^
What does "early bosses" mean in this context?
voidstones
It plays interesting and I played a deep delve Version in the past. Sadly it's just not fun playing a melee build and needing totems for the buffs. I really hope GGG changes that at some point
"What in Innocence's Ass?"
Hi.
I was wondering about the BS but on Slayer. How would you compare Jugg to Slayer? Whats are the main differences, pros & cons ect.
Cheers
Pretty simple answer tbh. BS on Slayer = more damage. BS on Jugg = tanky AF. Playstyles. If you don't mind dying in softcore, Slayer is the way to go. If you wanna tank mechanics you are supposed to dodge Jugg is the way to go.
@@db212006 thats not true jugg can do more dmg in some cases as well as slayer can be tanky than jugg, slayer early on has more dmg and if you dont know how to craft ur weapon then it can be easier to play on slayer but the more you play the less the difference, its pretty much same, jugg can tank a lot of medium hits and will not survive from one shot f.e where slayer will survive one shot caz its more tanky against them, also if you build jugg propperly you can do a lot more dmg than slayer if you have window for ramp your dmg
Juggernaut gains freeze, chill, and temporal chains curse immunity via Unstoppable. Besides this being a nice QoL for mapping, this can free up a flask suffix, resulting in more dmg/defense.
Slayer is able to run reflect phys maps via Bane of Legends. This makes your map re-rolling a little less picky, since you can now comfortably run maps with either reflect dmg mod on one character.
Besides the simple offense(Slayer) or defense(Juggernaut) preference, these can be the deciding factor. Hope this helps!
@@ksanraizzz4735 It's true for giving someone new friendly advice. I'm not gonna go into detail and tell him about accuracy stacker Jugg or the different ways to build each with 100divines worth of gear. So I think I was pretty dead on.
@@ksanraizzz4735 I've noticed 95% of the poe community really doesn't know how to talk to newer players. Always getting way ahead of yourselves. Just remember how overwhelming this game is..try not to make it more complicated for a newbie than it should be.
so i have all the gems for lvls 12-28 trying to figure out out to play my skills properly
Man I want to get into this game but I'm so lost
I dont understand this build. I have level 97 boneshatter jugg, but just used boneshatter skills dont deal any damage at all and life keep dropping. Im confused
THE WEAPON my guy.. phys % flat phys + attack speeed..... AXE...... its not that complicated to be honest, but i wouldn't recommend for a noob/new player.
What is the best BS Jugg guide? This or TPB guide?
This video again makes me undecided on Boneshatter Jugg or Hexblast Mines Sabo for League Start... the main issue with Jugg I had while testing was boss dps, dmg uptime was less of an issue because tanky + surprisingly high range with boneshatter and good mobility. Hexblast Mines however has great clear, Shield Charge mobility, boss dps and auto target, it's just that getting the uniques for end game might be a bit harsh this league... I think...
Which one do you guy think is better for specifically the league mechanic?
the one you enjoy the most
@@standylixgames7757 Alright, Boneshatter, then later in the league Hexblast =) this shouldn't have been such a hard decision... I was just stupidly indecisive...
I have not tried BoneZone as of yet in any of my test builds for leagues in the past. This one might be build 2 or 3 this time around. That way plenty of weapons will be on market for what I want to do.
What makes bone zone nice as a league starter is that it requires little gear for full atlas progression, but scales well if you decide to continue playing it. I wouldn't recommend this as a 2nd or 3rd build. Instead I'd keep an eye open on what new builds become popular. I'll for example likely watch for a new trauma build whenever I decide to reroll. Playing bone zone as a 2nd or 3rd build though is kind of cringe. Unless you just want to do it to test the build.
Ah yes levelling as a duelist in act 1 and somehow ending up as a jugg, very very SUS
Guys, I’m pretty new to the game, I’m facing a problem of not having enough mana to spam boneshatter, I can see in this video almost all mana is reserved for the character but he can still spam the spell, how is that achieved?
theres a craft that reduces cost of mana to skills. If you do it on your rings and amulet boneshatter costs 0 mana. If you do it on just the rings and have some mana leach or regen, it should still be manageable.
Wouldn't it be better to take "Accuracy mastery" before you take "Precise Technique" ? You have done the opposite in this build - just a thought. Except that - thank you very much for a nice detailed guide and build.
It's treason then.
I must really suck at this... I die so quick with this build... it does lots of damage though.
armor? life?
@@andyfibb No idea.. I don't play POE now, D4 finally fixed their game in season 2.
u think so? d4 has good itemization now? lol.. how if d4 fixed im curious... the item hunting was so bad@@baconoverlord7982

@@Zizaran You are correct, I played it before so I assumed it was from Ziz.
Honestly tried boneshatter as my first strike skill last league and found out strike skills just aren't my cup of tea. The build was super effective though and if you like strike gameplay boneshatter is probably going to be amazing for you.
wheres carn build!?!?
Nobody, and I mean nobody does beginner follow along build guides as well as Ziz does. If you want to try a build you haven't played before use his guides. I've league launched bone zone before, but I'll be following this guide again.

Stygian >> Leather belt, gear from PoB is really insane to suggest going for a Leather Belt over Stygian.
Impale >> Melee Physical as support, specially considering that Melee Physical slows you building trauma, which would translate in even more difference.
Does Iron Reflexes worth the point?
yes iron reflexes is worth a point. Melee phys is better whilst mapping since you want high dmg on your initial hit to get the stun from boneshatter to do aoe, on bosses it might be more worth it to go impale since it is much harder to stun and you dont need aoe.
if you have 1 piece of armour with evasion i would not use iron reflexes, 2 or more and it is good value, especially with juggernaut. for me personally I dont use it because the only piece of armour with evasion should be gloves ( tanu ahi ) but in a league start scenario i can see it being much more viable. 👍🏽
@@jjccob well later on youll need armour/evasion or just evasion in every piece for suppression(except chest) so then iron reflexes will be well worth
The evasion is not negligible, you lose 20-30% miss chance to gain less than 0.5% more armour.
@@peonso yes but armour counts less vs larger hits so in reality you need a lot for melee. Also, 8% of armour is applied to spells or w/e it says
