IKR those Conti's are such good race tyres. i have ridden the same pair of them for 2 years now and they have done Europe twice and I've never had a puncture! i could use them for DH mountain biking
Love these old vids 😁
Lost my dad to oesophageal cancer, it's a nasty aggressive cancer, good on ya for mentioning mark gunters passing.
Much respect.
Awesome review!
Nice video mate love it
Great video as always mate. You said in the video that you have 11-28 at the back, but I'd like to know what's up front 52/36? thanks
Hi Mark, I just wanted to drop a wee comment to say thanks for the review of your Oltre, I was unfortunate enough to have my bianchi nirone 7, with garmin vector, campag carbon wheels and 3t aeronova handlebars being stolen and with your review I decided to take the insurance money and get a good deal on a XR1 Celeste.
This oltre xr 2 is my dream bike . Would you say that the Celeste is the best colour?
Thanks mate for the videos, watch them regularly. Had a quick inquiry about the wheels. I know you said your not a big gear guy, but... any issues with the 6.7s in crits? I'm not really even sure what I mean by issues, but. I guess you dig them, yea? I was being nudged by some locals to get the 4.5s for crits and daily training. The fact that you have the 6.7s though and seem to get along just fine on them is of interest. Thoughts?
Mark, did moving your saddle forward help with the knee pain? I have recently started to experience quite a bit of knee pain and am thinking of moving my saddle forward to see of it helps. How far did you move yours?
what happens when u get dropped? do you just head home or do you finish the ride, just way behind everybody?
How come you rode back from the bunch ride using the shared path?
Bianchi is amazing. I have to ask, what does it weigh?
Nice bianchi love the colour
Any reason you didn't choose a Bianchi Infinito disc brake model? I prefer it as the discs are better in the wet and the frame is more compliant.
great review of the bike! and sweet set up enjoy it! keep the rubber side down
Hey Mark, whats the spray you use to clean your bike? Is it bike specific?
was this the NRR you did ? also, would you recommend doing this if one is racing at Sandown the same evening?
Any reviews of 2017 Bianchi Allroad Maven? Cheers.
Top tube story had me a bit choked up.
Hey mate sorry if I missed it, but how much you get it for and where from? :)
Nice bike! I ride a Sempre and have been very happy with it so far and will consider moving over to the Oltre funds permitting. Your frame and forks are made in Taiwan much like all frames are these days, nothing wrong with that of course. I think the Specialissima is made in Italy.
where did you get that Jersey and where do you typically buy riding gear?
What camera mount do you use on your handlebar?
YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE BOY!!
Hah, that drive train looks like it needs a bit of a clean, you'll be getting the cat5 tat if you're not careful ;-) Great vid, keep it up
How cool would it be to have a group ride with your subscribers......
In Perth but would be cool for Melbourne crew
What size is the bike? And how tall are you? Thanks for all your videos. Whenever you upload new videos I go see them right away
Hi there it's a old video. But man How can you do a group ride with a back pack. No wonder you got dropped. I ride a 928L with full DA btw
What's your height and weigh Mark?
Reviews are a goldmine for increasing your CZcams viewership (suggest you do a review of your jawbreakers, rapha shoes and helmets). But keep up the vlogs - my mates and I really getting into these! also what happened to your Propel?
I sold it to a mate
is that an ultegra cassette? killer bike!
What is the brand and model of this glasses?
+Bartłomiej Krupa Oakley Jawbreakers
Hi , really enjoy watching your vlogs, I am looking to get on ZWIFT and was wondering if you could do a vlog on how to use and set it up? That's if you use it and rate it?!!
Keep up the good work!
Zwift is great fun. It's even better if you have a smart trainer (eg Wahoo Kickr). you can try Zwift for free, the first 50km costs nothing.
+Stuart VEGAN sounds great. I don't have a smart turbo, just a classic and speed cadence sensor etc, is that all you need ??
+Dan Colley Zwift will work like that too. zwift will calculate your power if you don't have a power meter using your speed sensor data and your trainers specifications. what will be strange is that when you get to a hill you don't need to change gear and of course there will be no added resistance. This means you can keep peddling with the same cadence and all that happens is that your character in the game slows down. It is still great fun though, and motivational to have other people to ride with / against.
+Stuart Whipkey i was super soft pedaling once, my avatar stopped going all together, realized it was a hill lmfao
What a bike! Man that's a looker. Too bad I can't justify getting one.
What's your profession Maven? Looks like you're a surgeon.
Loving the vids!! so are you a surgeon?
+Jordan Walker Surgical Device Sales. :)
Aw ok thanks
Just curious. How tall are you? 78kilo is perfect for your build, I think.
+PlantTheSeed looking at hes build hes like 6.0 around 180cm i think... its pretty heavy when you want to be fast, im same weight but im a runner when i drop down to 75kg it feels so much lighter
I ride this bike and its really uncomfotable ! Any owner can tell his opinion ? Anyone who puts good bartape - 25er tyres and comfy saddle??
Bianchi- family sold out to FIAT in the 1950's, Moved to NSW & became farmers-James Bianchi ( grandson of EB) lives in Coffs Harbour, would make an interesting story
Edduardo married Alfred Deakin ( Aust PM) daughter, James stays with relatives in Toorak ( Deakin family)
Bianchi made a car in the 20's called the Australia-Funny old world the way things cross paths
Maven, get a small portable USB 3.0 card reader. You'll be able to import your GoPro footage a hell of a lot faster than importing directly from the GoPro.
Okay Matt will do. Thanks for the tip.
Happy to help. Its 10 times faster so it should help on those days when you've got no time, heaps of footage or both.
I've just started to get into cycling more seriously. I hope to start crit racing soon.
Happy cycling.
where should you then clamp the bike
Nice wheels on the bike... ;)
+Dan Wilkins Considering they're your old wheels?! So good.
Couldn't find you on Snapchat
+Zach Wong Sorted now mate, started a new account.
I had a conversation about Bianchi's bikes with the biggest dealer of Campagnolo products in my Country and that man also sell Bianchi. He says that the only Bianchi bike that worth it is Specialicima but the cost is high so we all who cant take an expensive bike like that we cant also compare the real diferrenses that really good bikes give to us from an cheapiest bike
carbon clamped on the top tube??!?!?!!??!?!Noooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
zoltansocrates always on seat tube
Ever thought about doing a triathlon? :)
+Max Norman Did an ironman in 2007. 11:30. That was enough for me. :-)
haha snapchat is all the rage for adolescents like me. not sure if you know the basics already but you should try posting stuff to your story so anyone you have added can view it for the next 24 hours. it's not actually a very good app for messaging though it can be fine for short exchanges--you have to manually save each text or else it self destructs after you view it just like the pictures.
Couldn't find you on snapchat using the username cyclingmaven
+William Madams Sorted now mate, started a new account.
couldn't find you on snapchat either :(

+Cycling Maven shame because they are sweet wheels!

+MrVarieties Thanks for sharing mate.
RIP Bianchi :(

hey mate are you still a vegan? how much fat are you eating?
Yes will always be vegan but eating way too much fat at the moment and not enough carbs
So skinny mate how you've let yourself go 😜
The main reason I unsubscribed is that you take so much time before getting to the subjects of your videos. 7 minutes to start talking about your Bianchi???
Man you must have not been around during the vhs cassette days
