Nah it was charged across a field against a hundred of them. And considering how many Guardsmen there are it'd be more like a million guys shooting at just you. In hindsight, it's weird that Chaos Marines stand any chance at all against the Guard. Tanks are very effective against the Marines, so is artillery and heavy weapons. The Guard is basically a giant ocean of these things crashing upon your face.

At lest on the tabletop Guard can win vs Astartes/other armies if played well, just takes having target prioritization (which I think everyone learns at some point when playing) & skill vs the target... even if its obvious some models are OP on purpose making a true win hard (at lest you can go for a "pyrrhic" win in those cases)
@@midgetydeath Tbf the quality of Guardsmen can vary a lot and I'd guess an open field with no terrain features or anything to use as cover isn't super common.

Well not hard to pull off, just use a microwave like a morning star while its plugged in.
The crazy thing is if you created a schematic for a microwave trebuchet and poured a little coffee on it so it looks old the Mechanicum would probably spend 200 years mass producing it before they figured out it is shit.

Mechanically, the AK is quite simple, so simple that had been adopted into many others platforms from LMGs to snipers. And because writers can't have unlimited imagination, they take inspiration from our world. You can see peoples in 40k know our modern day famous quotes and books. The degisn of the AK is so prolific that you can even download it from the internet. With so many copies scattered across the globe, some are bound to survive into 40k. And it's totally logical for people in 40k to adopt the AK design. They hold ancient men knowledge in high regard, except for AI tech. And because the bolt rounds can be fired from any firearms just like normal bullets of the same caliber.
In short, you can easily make an AK that fires bolt rounds, it's prolific so some copies of the design will make it to 40k. And because the mechanicus love ancient knowledge and the AK has proven itself to be a well designed weapons even in our time, they won't question the wisdom of techpriest Mikhail Kalashnikov. AK 40k shouldn't be something impossible to exist.

One thing that's somewhat popular that you forgot is the Storm Bolter. Just strap two modified bolters together and boom! You get a bolter that shred anything in a 10 ft radius to pieces and expend your ammo in a matter of seconds! Twice the fire rate, twice the fun!

The hand flamer actually sounds like a good weapon for imperial guardsman, who generally suck at melee fighting.
Just give this pistol to the whole team and when an enemy like tyrannids reaper get too close whip that thing out and make a wall of fire. I know what you think "well now the tyranid is running at the poor guardsmen AND is on fire", but really if a tyrannid reaper can get so close to hit a guardsman then it makes zero difference, the guardsman is DEAD, but at least the nid would hopefully burn too quickly or be too much stunned by the heat to get close, or die shortly after and become a burned carcass useless for biomass recovery.
To quote the Team Fortress 2 Engineer. "The solution.. Is a gun. If that doesnt work ? Use more guns!"

Hate to be that guy but this video is for people who want to get a general idea of WH40K weapons. Pretty obvious in his non-serious approach of the video. If you know the entirety of WH40K weapons then you wouldn't need these kinds of videos.

I'd point out autocannons sadly lack the lovely explosive ending of bolters. Thankfully, their size and fire rate are enough to keep them relevant - even those gosh darned Chaos Terminators will field the things!

Missed the storm bolter, scout pattern bolter, and jakero digital lasers, kudos on getting the grav gun and conversion beamer though - I thought you would miss them.

MK, you should read the Lord of the First primarch novel. There is a tour of the Dreadwing's secret armory in the Invincible Reason that has some insane weaponry. Can't help but wonder if some of those relics survived to the current setting.
For the Heavy Stubber, I recall it being inspired by the M2 Browning, a .50 cal machine gun that is still in use today.
Comparing the autocannon to light machinegun? It is WAY too large to be a heavy machinegun, let alone a light one.

I’m pretty sure the heavy stubber is basically just an M2 (a US .50 cal machine gun) or a DShK (a Russian .50 cal machine gun) so yes definitely outdated in 40k but it’s a .50 cal machine gun or bigger so of course it still fucks

No, it's an auto cannon, we have real life auto cannons with explosive 20mm shells. Imperial ACs are the same thing but 40k size
