    Hi from New Zealand.
I've just been drawing along with you. With Graphite.
1st time Ive done a drawing in 45 mins. I'm mainly self taught. So I'm pleased with my result.
You guys are cool. Thanks for the many laughs . You have a new subscriber.
Your portrait is an awesome outcome Ashley love it!! ❤❤❤
I'm off down to the art shop tomorrow to get black paper and white charcoal.
I have a horse. I've been studying her anatomy in detail the past few months and it's really helping my work.

highly entertaining, guys. and I'm learning .I grew up watching all those shows, and it's the only reason I draw horses half-way decently. I still am watching the recently re-mastered w/ widened screen, 'GUNSMOKE'S in color ( from '67 on, it's color)on INSP. but what I have to mention is, if you hear Western actors being candid, they'll tell you ,nothing fouls up a scene like an un-cooperative horse. watching closely, you can see them getting impatient w/ talking scenes, ready to move out of camera, run away, or whatever. but really, when I'd draw an imagined Western scene, or a horseman, I realized later, I was remembering saloon furniture, chairs usually, enough to draw them out of my head. my memory was so saturated w/ those images from TV, and I didn't even realize it. now, I aspire to be as good as you 2. thanx!!

man, he didn't even have enough information in the photo, to the point where he made his own eye on our right. brilliant! my monitor doesn't show it clearly, but it's a solid SAMSUNG for it's time. and w/ the left nostril, he could've skipped it, or blacked it out, making them appear closer together. photos are proven here, to be a bit sterile sometimes. but it took an artist w/ a great white pencil to illustrate it.

Thank you both so very much. It is magical. I came put of the womb loving horses and after college had horses for 35 years. I know their bones, muscles, hair pattern, how the bones, ligaments and tendons are and how they work. Can't draw a good horse for love nor money. Always mess up the hind quarter angles. It's infuriating. This I may try. Putting in the values instead of drawing with my brain. David Bowie referenced Rembrandt in his song golden years. " light in the shadows "

I love horses too only they don't like me, I'm allergic to them, I used to ride ponies when I was young, but the allergy got worse and one day was out with my friend and I woke up like I'd been in the boxing ring and lost.
My eyes were so swollen I could hardly see.
      I still love them.

My dad taught me to draw a horse when I was a kid he told me big circle for head and little circle for mouth. Then conect the lines from the head big circle to the smal circle totally diffrent to this horse

Ухо правое выше левого , уж простите у вас перекос не туда! Работа произвольная и при хорошей прорисовке много ошибок! Ноздря лошади имеет ярко выраженный перекос в лево, череп лошади раздут у орегенала он уже!
