Chainsaw more things in caves bc i claimed over the snowy mountain and went into a cave and there was almost nothing in the cave. A shipwreck you can explore for loot make some of the golf carts drivable and a bunker in the mountains.
Or maybe a plane that crashes into the frozen lake near the snowy mountain

The only thing I found in the mountain caves I explored (I did most) was the can opener
I know I was very disappointed about this. I hope within future updates they expand on these caves. I felt like most Icon Caves that they had didn't have much content.
yeah because those are the supply caves, for example the shovel cave is giant
@@ekto250 you have to climb the mountains to reach some of them which have nothing
@@steelemerald300 yeah because they are there just to give you some loot, the whole point of supply caves is to be empty(ignoring the loot).
hey, while we are at it, ill add some stuff. (i will avoid most of the things mentioned in the video but i agree with all of them tbh)
1. More freedom while building
To elaborate, as of right now i feel like you probably have more freedom in The Forest, you can build inside/through rocks and cliffs, sorta blend in your building with the environment. Realism wise, it doesnt make much sense how you can connect a log with another log THROUGH a stone or cliff but it would still be good to have gameplay wise. Another thing is that your are working on a grid when building, you cannot at all build diagonal walls (at least not from my experience). And lastly, a setting to remove more supportive pillars/beams. Sure, IRL you wouldnt be able to remove an important pillar of a structure, it would just break, but maybe add some option to turn off that you need support beams and stuff like that, makes the build look more clean and stuff.
2. More custom building elements.
Rock walls would be really nice if they would return in some sort of way, maybe that you have to patch the little holes between the rocks with grass or moss. Another thing that is direly needed are ibexes (aka the thing thats in the gap of an angled roof). Just to be able to place some logs down either vertically or horizontally. Right now you cant fully fill in the gap of a roof without it looking weird. And not to forget, be able to use sticks to make some sort of window frame, it would like pretty nice. (and also not that important but a cool addition would be some more fence variants, maybe like a "clean stick fence" which just uses like carved sticks that just look more clean.)
3. (as mentioned in the video) Hotkeys AND more hotkey space
Right now, in the quick inventory you can assign like 8 slots, but 10 would be nice, so just add 2 more slots for weapons on the right side of the backpack. And yeah just being able to press the number 1, 2, etc. would be extremely handy.
4. Make the cold more of a threat
Rn in game when your freezing, you just loose some stamina and thats it, nothing too bad but if it would damage you again over time as in the forest, that would be good. There is a winter season but it barely poses a threat. To counter that you would use some outfits that give you lots of warmth (like and arctic suit that was mentioned in the video), make it so that animal armor (aka deer armor) increases your hypothermic insulation and that you get some lasting effect after you've been next to a fire that prevents you from freezing for a little while
5. Hunger/Water should be more fatal too
Yeah, its simple really. Just be able to die or just loose some HP from starvation and dehydration. Only thing they would have to do is change the hunger/water consumption a little.
6. More items
Maayybeee some assault rife, like and some ar-15, something like that... maybe op?
You're in luck because they added hotkeys, also you could always just turn on deadly hunger and thirst in custom

i found a jacket in some camp so i think there is some costume diversity in the game, but its rare
Yes, so there is costumes but they are quite rare and in endgame labs. I hope they add less rare costumes for players to find and explore in suitcases, etc.
it would help to not have the empty caves marked on the map, so it does not feel like a let down to walk all the way there for basically nothing, but instead randomly find a little cubby hole with some loot if you stumble upon it
trees do respawn but at a much slower rate than the last game it seems
There is outfits bottom right corner when you find them.
Idk if the first forest had this but I really think the game could benefit from more materials to build out of instead of just wood. Also yea it was strange to walk around caves and see things like laptops and lights and stuff that you couldn't pick up.

just like the forest you destroy the laptops to get motherboards? or whatever it is to make bombs, and yes i agree would be nice to take the lights in caves.
just ran into the inventory bug. that was no fun, not being able to access my inventory while being very far away from my camp
There are already outfits in the game, you can get a tuxedo in one of the bunkers

The first game didnt have re-growable trees ? There was a mod for it
Number one is freaking hotkeys
There is a turtle shell in the game, you just have to get it from Sea Turtles. Also, to use the sled you have to jump then left click.
Ahh I was so confused when the lake turtles didn't give me a shell! TY For the info Social Assassin!
we need a damn water collector.. come on endnight.. we have turtles but no water collectors :/
I hope they add more mutants almost all or if not all the mutants we se have allredy been shown in the trailer so i feel there should come more of the for more vaierety in the game and one thing i dident like when playing the game is alot of the things i saw i rememberd from the trailer i feel like they showed alot of the game in the trailer and thre wasent alot i hadent seen when i played the game.
I was hopping for more mutants too! Let’s hope they add more throughout early access!
