SOUND DEADENING makes a CRAZY DIFFERENCE!! HOW TO sound deaden a car!!

In this episode we will sound deaden the chassis of my Super Beetle. We will use Butyl mats and an acoustic foam which combined make a very good sound barrier. We will cover with those materials every inch of the floor!!

I am all for quiet cars . Its what is drawing me to an electric .But isn't everything on a car for a reason ? I mean cheap components fail and usually by sound you get a warning . Cut the sound no warning .

I totally understand Your point of view my man!! But on the other hand if You do a maintenance once in a while (and by that I mean that You lift the car and check if everything is ok) nothing will happen. I do that with my cars and it always works for me. Another thing is that You can still hear stuff inside Your car but not that loud😁

Why do you care if the foam insulation looks bad? if it has some small gaps that's not a big deal if you get most of the surface covered. It will be under a carpet or vinyl flooring anyway. you won't feel or see the small gaps at that point.

At 1:21 , so you mean that if I put this kind of aluminum insulation let's say in the doors , will it make the car door more robust in case of an accident?

Nah my dude. You took it a bit to far😁I meant torsional stiffness. I think that in case of an accident that butyl mat wouldn’t do any difference😂
