Haha I really feel this, deeply. I’ve been renovating our lawn and landscaping by myself (really had no idea how labor intensive it would be when I started). Now I feel like I am ONE with my beautiful grass and shrubs.

I get so much inspiration from watching this. I just bought a house that was built in 1941 and I've been estate sale shopping and I was lucky enough to find this beautiful dark solid wood armoire wardrobe for only $20! With absolutely nothing wrong with it

I love your videos so much Macenna! But when you have some time, please consider using your old mic or another one (or maybe some settings need to be changed on this new one) because it's making your voice really sharp and echo-y + the noise from the drive really loud 😣
Milia are tiny pearl like cysts that can only be removed by a tiny incision over the bump. They pop out like tiny pearls. They aren't inside a pore so no punctin (pore opening) to open and squeeze out of. An incision has to be made. I extract mine by using a sterilized needle to open the skin up.

I agree! it seemed worse in the car than when she was inside like in the bathroom. Like the background noise is really interfering or something. The beginning clips in the car with her mom when they were driving were pretty bad, I thought my speaker was messed up!
Oh! Those chairs were gorgeous! Too bad they were not in a color you wanted! And those frames!!!!!! They’re to die for! I figured it out that the cables coming from the floor were for plugs. It’s so great when you have the chance to do that level of planning. Good thinking!!!

Just an FYI in case you haven’t noticed, but the audio on your new camera is pretty bad :/ I don’t know if it’s a temporary audio solution, but your old one was so much better.
Still love watching your videos, but bad audio doesn’t do you justice! ☺️
I noticed it was only bad in the car, could be picking up the noise from the A/C vents.
@@mariettedemarest5173 On this video the audio in the car was worse than the rest, agreed. But the overall quality has taken a dive since she bought the new gear. I love her videos, so I don’t care too much, but it’s a shame knowing that what she came from is better than where she ended up. Thought I’d mention it in case she isn’t aware.

I love the color you picked for the pine floors. It is similar to the stain color of our hardwood floors throughout our house. It looks very warm and inviting when the sun hits it.. You have been doing a great job! Can't wait to see more... 😊

The white bumps are called milia (mill-ee-uh). I get them, too. It's so exciting to see all the progress on the inside of the house.

Everything looks great so far! I feel your pain and I have just 1 project. I went to 5 different stores today to find wood conditioner,stain and spar poly for my pine picnic table that I am going to stain. That didn't include the 4 hardware store trips the other day to get stain samples and the hours of CZcams videos watched to perfect my skills! You are one talented girl!
🚨Macenna, you can easily extract your own milia… i’m a licensed cosmetologist but i’ve specialized in esthetics for the past 7 years and i extract them all the time for clients. there’s really no known cause for them,’other than trauma to the skin but you can also just be prone to getting them. They’re just an accumulation of protein in the shape of a ball under the top layer of skin. if you feel comfortable doing it, (which if you can redo a house you can 100% extract your own milia lol) just use the single use lancets from the diabetic section at any pharmacy. go in from the side of the white bump when you get the needle into the white area do a little swirl with the needle widening the opening just enough and push it out.. if it doesn’t come out easily, stretch the opening a bit more… so simple!! you can totally do it. chances are you’ll get them again, so hopefully this little comment will help in the future 🙃❤️

I can’t leave the house without eye brows. I kind of over pluck my eyebrows when I was a kid. Brows were different back then and I had a uni. So I am silver browse makes which makes them hardly show. Macenna. The floors, they are beautiful!!!!!!!!!!! And building your cabinets yourself. Honey, you are my hero. There is nothing you cannot do dear.

I bought that exact piece of trim for our French doors that I converted from a bi-fold door! Watching this series while making over our 1930s cottage has been so inspiring and informative. Seeing you pick up similar products gives me reassurance about the choices I made too. My in-laws were very impressed when I sent them pictures of our lead paint test results, and I said all thanks to XO, MaCenna :)

Those bumps under your eyes can also be caused from too much moisture. If you overload your under eyes with too much cream/moisturizer it can cause them!

For milia - use only oil free products. I used to get them all the time, but during a facial I was advised to swap to oil-free and I haven't had them since (that was 8 years ago)!

Hi! Love watching the videos. I’m an Aesthetician and the milia your getting could be from not exfoliating regularly and dead skin cells are just building up. They like to come up around the eyes. If you want a few suggestions to try I would get The Ordinary Lactic Acid Serum (3 times a week) in the morning, Avène RetinAL Eye (every night) this is a vitamin A eye cream. I would also get on a Retin-A at night. You can go with prescription or over the counter. If you do over the counter you could try Avène RetrinAL Advanced Wrinkle Corrector. This is your collagen builder and will keep you exfoliated. There are a lot of store products that are good and they don’t have to be expensive to work. Just wanted to try to help. Take care.

I get Milia spots too. Usual causes for me is if I use creams on my face that are too heavy, especially sunscreen in my case! I have a derma-microabrasion facial monthly. That’s helps a lot. X

In my country when there's floor plugs, the plugs would be lower than the floor and it would have like a "lid" for the hole with like smaller holes for the chords being able to go in and out. The lid is made from the same material as the floor to camouflage it. There's the benefit that if there is nothing on it, it's not as obvious.

3 coats of poly is best because, with only 2 coats, if you miss any spots (which happens) you then only have one coat in those areas which will show in a couple years and look naked.
Your floors are SO pretty! I just refinished a pine piesafe & I've been quite upset at the uneven way the wood absorbed the stain. I didn't think to use the prestain. It's not awful so I'm getting used to it. I can redo it later if it still bugs me. I have other things to do first!
