First of all thanks for the video! I actually remember watching SNL to see them that night. This song is amazing and relevant to many people I'm sure. In my own opinion, I was in my HS senior year when Nirvana, Pearl Jam RHCP and STP (many other bands as well) came out. I miss those times bc there was so much anticipation and excitement with each one! That's why I never compared them. It was the "Grunge era" mosh pits, sweaty rebellious guys having an excuse to beat the shit outta eachother but many of us knew we were watching music history change. STP wasn't PJ, PJ wasn't Nirvana, however, each band had amazing talent and vocals! STP is my favorite bc TBH Scott Weiland was being attacked for copying Eddie Vedder ( I never felt that way) and they were able to stand the test of time (once Scott passed for me that was the end knowing there was never going to be STP again no matter who they hired). Now we have footage and albums to grasp forever. Scott passing felt personal to me as we were close in age and those guys lyrics and music shaped me to an adult and beyond😊 Love you Dean, Rob and Matt. I love you too Scott Weiland, however, it broke my heart when I knew you were gone. Yes, drugs was his ultimate demise but when you take the time to understand his life he's no different than any other human who has experienced terrifying childhood trauma. Fly with the angels you beautiful man...❤️🎼

I don't consider STP a grunge band. They were not from Seattle they were from San Diego and not everything that came out in the Nirvana Pearl Jam era was grunge. Was Pantera Grunge? Besides STP was 100 times more talented than anything coming from Seattle in the 90's. Guitarist has some clever little riffs and Scotts vocals were amazeballs. Great Band!
