I was at the tribute concert and you knew he would have blown all the others clean out of the stadium with just his voice, he was absolutely mind blowingly brilliant and easily better than all of today's performers! @@selty No, talent has obviously not died. But what people really mean is that back then, there simply was no autotune, so you are definitely hearing the real thing. Today, no matter how incredible the vocalist is, they absolutely, in almost all cases, use a certain amount of autotune. It's available, and it's used. So unless a live performance, there will most definitely be a certain amount of autotune involved, thus a less than pure performance.

Freddie Mercury is one of the greatest singers of all time hands down. He's a Rock 'N' Roll singer with an Opera like voice, his voice is just beautiful. Much love to Freddie, he was misunderstood in his days but everybody came to love him because no matter what, he was a good person and he loved his fans and his friends and family, he pushed himself to do shows and appearances even when he had aids and was slowly passing away because he loved his fans. R.I.P. Freddie, we love you.
