Im so excited for this route , love the sounds , normally wait for sales for dlcs but im going straight in on this one just like blackpool .

@@RichyRail_ Fife Circle up to Dundee and Perth would be absolutely amazing as long as they don’t mess up the scenery. We know Fife Circle is in a bit of a state right now which is sad as it’s my most wanted route…
I like the fact that we got LIRR again, but what I don't like is that they didn't bring it to the modern day. For example, triple track on the mainline, Elmont station replacing Belmont and Grand Central, and we still have the same old penn station that doesn't exist anymore, lol. But we go it so it is what it is. Let's just hope this isn't another NY to Trenton disaster.
I think the whole idea of this release is extending what we already have so setting it in the modern day wouldn't work. It would also mean a whole rework of the route which would probably take too long. As for NY Penn, I think they have learnt from NYT and hopefully they have optimised and updated it accordingly!

@tomjenkins0573 it just goes only to Penn station instead of Grand Central because the gradient into GC is too much for it.
I'm looking very forward to this (especially with the fact that I recently got a PS5).
I have always wondered for the last two years whether the original LIRR will get an updated timetable - created by Joe.
The matter that I'm concerned about while driving the trains is the mandatory use of the safety systems.
I am terrible at responding to the AWS alerter with the controller analogue stick. Hence is why I never apply them on any train.
I am considering of using a keyboard to respond to all alerters. If I struggle to navigate the analogue stick within three seconds to press alerter.
Yes, this route should run really well on PS5! Yes, that's true regarding the safety systems as those that cannot react as quick may struggle with this! Hopefully the safety systems do not interfere too much with gameplay!
Yea I own this route, but eager to see the changes. Also its so good the safety systems are enabled. All I want now is COLD STARTS! that would be awesome.
I agree, very excited to see how this route has evolved since it's predecessor! Cold starts would be great, it would make the game so much more immersive!
You know, I noticed a tiny detail on the LIRR commuter TSW 4 map. I know it’s already confirmed that the abandoned Woodhaven station is added there, but what if there is another?. Since in TS4, a small portion of the Montauk branch is added until Long Beach, but, as I hope we all know before 2012 Montauk branch did not end at Jamaica Station, as it extended off the main branch to Penn Station leading more to Queens until it gets to Long Island City. In 1998 the Lower Montauk branch closed down to low ridership, leading to multiple abandoned stations. But my point is, if you zoom in on the LIRR commuter Train Sim 4 map, where it says “Beland yard” you would see a tiny dot, indicating that a station is there. Who knows maybe Dovetail added another abandoned station which is “Richmond Hill Station”, as it’s one the first LIRR abandoned stations,along with the Lower Montauk Branch.
I have just had a look at the TSW4 route map again and I have spotted that branch! That would be interesting to see this and perhaps it is included in this release! Let's hope they show something in tonight's preview!

Did they take our the grade crossings on the Ronkonkoma branch which are no longer there?
I'm not too sure! The route is set in the same time period so I would imagine they would've been retained!
If the saftey systems are similar to harlem line then it wont be that difficult. I dont own the the original route so this could interesting.
If you don't own the original route then you're getting a heck of a lot for your money!
I play on the PS4, I don't own the LIRR route at all. I'm seeing it on my PS4 PlayStore that it costs £24.99 , shall I buy it or wait till this new route comes out on the 30th of April 2024 and purchase that instead please????
I would wait until the new one comes out as, despite the fact you would have a lower service count than Gen9, it would be a significant improvement on the original LIRR

As I was working the 18:01 2J00 Barking Riverside to Gospel Oak service I realised the textures dropped significantly which caused the textures of the Class 710 Cabin to become extremely blurry and unreadable which triggered extremely low blurry performance texture glitches. And as another Class 710 was coming the other way my game immediately became severely blurry and it eventually crashed...
@@RichyRail_ And this also happens with the Class 700 ThamesLink train and the DB BR Class 101 Linke Rheinstrecke locomotive too and the Blackpool Branches too
