Grundfos 2hp Submersible Pump with Pentair's Pentek Intellidrive in Water Storage Tank

  • From my well head, I run 1 inch PVC to a concrete 2500 gallon underground tank for water storage. It is then pumped out with a Grundfos 45S20-5 45GPM 3PH 2HP 230V stainless submersible pump. The booster pump is controlled by Pentair's Pentek Intellidrive controller. This is an overview video of the system setup. This is only an overview and all work should be done only by a trained professional. Water system for low flow well.

    Why didn't you use a Grundfos controller like the cu301 instead of the Pentek?

      The supplier recommended that controller, I'm no expert, but pretty happy with it.

      @@topsawI'm curious, So why did you go with a VFD setup and not the conventional system(you know big pressure tank and 30/50 or 40/60 pressure switch)? Was the pressure at your faucets varying too much?
