Another great informative video Chris! We just had a new well pump installed at our home. We replaced our 25-year old 1/2 hp motor with a new McDonald 1 hp pump motor and a Franklin Sub Drive Utility VFD. We have a 5 inch well at about 80 feet. With this new system, the well pump is now a lot quieter than the old one, but now when running a faucet or flushing the toilet, we can hear the water rushing/running through the pipes behind the walls where we couldn't before. We now have 11 gpm at the hose spigot where we had 6 before. My wife is not very happy about that because I get up in the morning before her and if I run any water, it can wake her up. Any ideas as to why the change in hearing the water now?
I have this system on a temporary set up for construction. If it is powered by a portable generator on a vacant lot will it need to be reprogrammed for every start up ?

What's the difference between these and the subdrive units from FE? Are they more reliable and more expensive?
All VFD's can have issues. The key is to know which one will fit the application best. The PID VFD has to have the transducer wired to it regardless of the application. The programming is a bit different (elegant in my opinion )sensing pressure rather than current for some parameters. But with that said I have had issues with the PID's, SD, AS or others
I have a question on a VFP controller "Fault - possible pipe break drive stopped" I checked the pipes and found no pipe break. I hit fault reset and then auto start and it fired right up and pressure went back to 60psi. 12 hours later I had the same Fault message. What could be causing this? Or how do I trouble shoot this?

You probably figured this out by now but it's most likely a leaky toiled. They call it Pipe Break but it just shuts down if it appears water is constantly running even at a trickle
Does the water sensor shut down have to be the pentek brand? Will another brand sensor work?
Any 4-20mA 100 PSI transducer will work
Thats a danfoss drive in there. I sell ABB, my well pump is on it's last leg going to get one of these systems, we have a 4600sqft house so I think this should help. Just had my pressure tank replaced today didn't realize my water pressure was so crappy.

The screen say MOTOR JAM, what shall I do?
Being a VFD, how much line noise does this unit put back onto the mains line. Being a VFD I'm guessing it must put some crap back onto the line. I've listened to some complaining about the subdrive units putting lots of noise back onto the mains.
You manufacture in Mexico?
In the oil industry we bypass those moisture sensors 🙈
