@@Omnificence2016 Either that or she's related to him in some form. But let's also remember Bo' Rai Cho was an Outworlder in previous timelines, so maybe it's just a reference, since she's the one who trains the new Shaolin Monks.
She calling Raiden the son she never had and especially Kung Lao her favorite pupil warmed my heart. In the last game, Kung Lao was a punching bag constantly being insulted by everyone, so hearing both Liu Kang and Madam Bo Give him validation is heart warming

In MKX Bo Rai Cho referred to Kung Lao as his favorite pupil. He also said the same about Liu Kang, and when challenged about also saying it about Kung Lao declared that when he said it about Lao he actually meant it.

I've never thought Madam Bo can regard Smoke as the teahouse protector just like what Liu Kang ordered him.
At 0:52 thats what Bo Rai Cho also said at one of the MKX dialogues with Kung Lao n Liu Kang.
But with Kung Lao he meant it, so that just 100% confirms that Madame Bo is the new timeline's version of Bo Rai Cho.

Not sure if anyone noticed but when Madam Bo called Kung Lao "my favorite pupil", it reminded me of one of the dialogue Bo Rai Cho had with Kung Lao and Liu Kang where he said the same thing? Could this mean that Madam Bo is this timeline's version of Bo Rai Cho? They do have "Bo" in their name after all.

Maybe it's just a coincidence but in this timeline the developers narrowly changed Bo Rai Cho to a lady and named her Madam Bo because apparently you can't make fun of Discord Mods anymore
