- Note KUTV Reporter Brooke Graham is one of our hardest workers. She is doing fine following this instance and has given us permission to post the video on her behalf. She is seeking medical attention to look into what caused her to pass out. Anchors only heard her laugh and say she slipped and fell, they were completely unaware she fainted until after the live shot.
Read more from Brooke on her blog here: twintestedblog.com/the-faintin...
It is like her computer crashed, lost power, but instantly re-booted, retained virtual memory.
+hajable9 she was upgraded with ssd , thats why she recovered so fast :)
agree, must remember the upgrade.
those pesky windows updates
Definitely passed out. You can tell her speech is slightly slurred and slowed down while she's falling. If it was an accident she would have instinctually thrown her hands out to break her fall and her voice would have jumped like people do when they fall.
You my friend are smart ass hell.
Orisitthesamenitemare14 Nice work Sherlock.
She probably locked her legs. Remember in chorus (if you took it) the teacher would say "bend your knees or you'll pass out" that's because when you do, it allows for better blood circulation to the brain.
They also tell me that on my hockey team.
+canadapwns886 my knees are 100% of the time locked otherwise its too hard to stand on em except when i do hockey i dont pass out
I know this is like five years too late but I actually live in Utah and she did a follow up interview and yeah she locked her knees
Tough lady! "The show must go on!" - She really embodies it! Well done.
Ikr hopefully everyone is ok
What a sweet guy to help her and to stay down there with her through the interview. Poor girl. I hope she feels better.
She recovered LIKE A BOSS!
She said Bass as she dropped. Coincidence? I THINK NOT!!
omg LOL
All-star youtube comment!
I was thinking the same, they should include this in some music video LMAO
In my language, bass means 'but'
This happened to me.
Story:
I was laying down on my living room couch. Someone rings doorbell. I jump up real fast and answer it. I see two little girls standing on my porch. I fall back into my entryway.
I wake up on the ground to two little girl scouts shaking me and looking terrified.
"Are you okay? Are you okay?"
"Waaa... where... who?" I come to my senses and realize what happened.
"Um.. Yeah, I'm fine. I just, I love your cookies so much.
***** Actually, I do. I am tired of googles crap.
Lmao I can imagine the look on those little girls faces
Jake Day Williams Damn what damn what did they put in those cookies?
That is one PROFESSIONAL reporter right there! Sat right back up and got right back to the interview, wow. Way to go, Brooke!
awww, I felt so bad when she fainted. But when she kept on with the interview, I was relieved. Take care of yourself, Brooke. You only have one you.
She THOUGHT she slipped and fell. No one is silent when falling.
But she obviously passed out.
Wow. What a pro! Glad to hear she's doing so well!
Nothing can stop her from giving the people the news...hope she got a christmas bonus.
It looked like she had just remembered a terrible memory that destroyed the inner recesses of her soul causing her neurons to snap and short circuit. Then the guy pressed the "reset button" located on her back and she reboots.
OH MY CRAP. I THINK BROOK GRAHAM IS A ROBOT.
calm down, she just fainted. she didn't even look scared when she fainted... and she got up under her own power, what are you talking about?
GREAT THEORY!! 😂😂
Lol
Thank you Mr. Data
@Paul Barbato Is it time to learn geography now?
lol she is awesome, hope she got a holiday bonus.
im subscribed to you love your channel
Brooke is soooo graceful! Amazing how she just sat up and started reporting again without missing a beat!
And with a laugh.. Such a cheerful person ..
Wow, now that's what I calling dedicated reporting.
Serious dedication to her job...lack of dedication for her health. TAKE A BREAK...GET SOME REST!
I have seen this happening to tough hadened soliders with excellent fysique.. However, I have never seen anybody recovering with such gace and such determination to do the job assigned. This is not uncommon, and I have much respect for Brooke Graham for coping with this unexpected problem in the middle of broadcasting a news report. You certainly have my respect, because I believe, not many would be so sharp witted, in such a situation. Well done, and marry Christmass to you and your family miss Graham
I know that feeling man. Everything is okay one second, then you can't breathe and you think, okay altitude, and then all of the sudden everything runs away from you down a deep dark tunnel and you wake up on the ground with people freaking out over you, which makes you freak out, and... those other newsroom women just need to back off man, being overtired isn't a joke. She handled the whole thing gracefully and did her job like a champ. I would have started crying.
To show such professionalism and poise after such embarrassment and possible danger is amazing, Give this woman a raise !
She had her knees locked. It cut off blood flow to her head. Making her pass out. It happens in military formations to rookies.
same thing in marching band-it was possibly a mixture of locked knees and either the cold or elevation. it was apparent that even the man she was interviewing had a breathy voice.
When i was in junior high another classmate challenged me to a "standing with your knees locked" contest in Lit class.... I blacked out and fell to the ground and I remember waking up to my teacher and classmates in my face. It was weird as shit
Exactly what I figured. She was on skis, slight slope, and probably had a ton of delays leading up to the report. The color in her face was gone and then came back once she started reporting again.
She passes out...then continues like nothing happened...
What a boss!!!
She's a BOSS! That's what we like to call 110% work ethic!
Yeah, the coal miners are like, I wish I could work that hard. I mean, falling down and getting up ... too hard ... to ... do....
bigmack0033 lol, really dude? Rolling with the punches like nothing happened is pretty impressive no matter what job you have. Never compared her to anyone else and sure as hell never said there aren't other people that work hard. Being a ice skater and falling down but getting up and finishing yer routine like nothing happened and keeping your head is commendable. Geez dude, that's like getting shot in combat and continuing to fight... Who cant do that. Don't bend shit out of context/reality.
jedimann74
Oh please. She passed out. You don't have to have a job to get back up and try to save face. Shit man, when people trip as they walk they do that fake "jogging for two steps" thing like it was on purpose.
I'm not impressed with her ability to do her job after bumping her head a bit. Had she been seriously hurt and kept going, that would just make her an idiot.
"Rolling with the punches like nothing happened is pretty impressive no matter what job you have."
Well, then I should be overly impressed with the girl on the skis that didn't overreact and did her "job". Congrats girl. You're a trooper for keeping your calm during a major crisis.
"Geez dude, that's like getting shot in combat and continuing to fight... Who cant do that."
Lots of people. Mostly the ones who get shot through the head.
"Don't bend shit out of context/reality."
Actually I'm not. You're the one impressed with her lack of coma ability to fall, get back up and continue. What was the other possible outcome of that. She gets up, declares that she can't go on, pulls out a gun and ends it all?
bigmack0033
Wow what a rant. I think she may have had a seizure.
Sylvia King She obviously didn't have a seizure.
She locked her knees. It happens at weddings all the time. The difference here is that usually people will stammer backward as they attempt to recover but she's hooked into skis so she fell flat.
very very cool
They teach you that in the military. Never lock your knees when standing at attention
That happened to me during a School concert. I was on the high bleachers (about 5 feet high) and I fell right off from the back. god damn i landed right on a gym mat (thank god) but it hurt like hell.
Good job, Brooke. Staying poised and professional despite your fall.
How embarrassing, she passed out but recovered like a pro as if nothing happened.
I have a feeling that if that was a man or someone of a different race you guys wouldn't be calling them "a pro", you would be suggesting other things.
Lannis31 way to make everything about sex or race. YOU are part of the problem.
Lannis31 Another racist desperate for attention on the internet.
Lannis31
I have a feeling that your mind is in the gutter, Pro in this case is short for PROFESSIONAL. Do not assume the worst please, no sexist remarks happening here. Happy New Years
Anthony Ciravolo
I think assuming the worst in people and accusing them as being part of "the problem" is in fact part of "the problem". I called this woman a Pro as in PROFESSIONAL REPORTER. A better question for yourself is why are you so quick to assume the worst rather than finding out what exactly I meant? Happy New Years.
KUTV2 the lady does not need to seek medical attention to find out what is wrong you have already said in your description "Brooke Graham works six days a week and is one of your hardest workers " give her at least two days off a week and a pay rise, this journalist done FANTASTIC to carry on. Thumbs up if you think this lady should get a pay rise and at least another day off?
A lot of people haven't been reading the note attached to this video. She's been working 6 days a week; and if she has a story every day, she's working some hard dedicated hours. I think fatigue caught up with her, but she does have some excellent showmanship. The show must go on and the story needs to be told.
She had a panic attack. I did this once giving a speech.
It's the only way you learn.
You pass out with panic attacks. That's beyond panic attacks.
Locking knees
She's awesome...💪🏼 What a professional...👏🏼
Give her a pay rise
What a trooper, too pass out completely, and too still get the job done is amazing...
I hope its noting too bad and not some heath problem, that she will find out about when she goes to the doc.
HER VOICE OMF
She did a hard reset.
BIOS corruption.
Okay so I just checked my inbox this morning and I got a list of messages from these people who responded to my post. To some it up I was called a "racist, sexist, democrat" because I referred to this reporter as a "pro". Clearly these folks have their head in the gutter because I was NOT calling this reporter a PROSTITUTE. I was calling her a PROFESSIONAL...REPORTER. Seriously folks do not be quick to assume something is negative. Clearly this woman fainted a moment then continued as if nothing had occurred, she kept it moving like a PRO.
The cold got the best of her, if you are not ok or a bit sick the cold will make you feel very weak and even make you collapse or faint
seriously why have you watched every video on youtube
MustardAndFries i am only half way through
Like a champ! She could have very easily said "Yeah, I'm just going to cut this short" but she pressed on and didn't waver. Good just Brooke!
She def passed out. She probably locked her knees. Happens at military formations all the time when soldiers stand at attention sometimes they lock their knees and pass out.
Yup it definitely looked like she had her knees locked plus they might have been at a higher altitude than her body is accustomed to.
true, altitude probably played a part as well.
+Maddix Roberts i just dont get it what do you mean by locking ur knees? my knees are always locked and i dont pass out O_o?
i got back problem tho thats why i lock em i guess if im really locking my knees
+westsgee The first time I experienced people passing out from locked knees.... I was in formation during one of our military parades.....soldiers started dropping like flies. It scared me to death, I was about to holler out ....gas, gas, gas....lol
Wow! She's such a trooper to have passed out & continue with her segment!! Very commendable and professional!! Way to go Brooke!!!
Damn people. She didn't just win the Olympics. She just regained her composure ffs.
what a pro... she deserve a raise.
In her head she was thinking, "How the hell am I going to make this segment interesting... oh this might work"
What a trooper she is.She keeps the interview going after she passes out! KUDOS to her!
respect for finishing the interview
Wow what a trooper! Pass out then keep on reporting! Brooke Graham, I'm glad you are ok!
Woke up from fainting and kept right on interviewing. A true professional right there!
Kudos to her for powering through her news assignment and not making it all about herself.
My first reaction would have been to perform mouth to mouth resuscitation followed by CPR. Probably wouldn't have helped her but it sure would have helped me.
Prepare to go viral.
I love her spirit.
That guy was a boss - unfazed.
He was inconsiderate. She obviously just passed out and he'd rather take up a bunch of time pumping his business instead of shortening it up so she could get immediate help. Know the difference.
But she may of been high 🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@non-duplicate5730 I think it was apparent she'd rather continue reporting in full and he obliged her after checking to see if she was okay.
Brooke is awesome. But we should also give accolades to Richard and Katie for not missing a beat either. I mean, it's Brooke's job to continue the show and it's amazing that she did, but if I were the subject of an interview on live TV, which is something I'm not at all used to, I'd already be nervous to be in front of the camera. If something like this happened, I'd probably have freaked out--yet Richard and Katie, like Brooke, took the fall like a pro.
Well said! Thanks for sharing!
that was incredibly funny of Brooke to pretend to pass out...
finish the interview.....LIKE A BAUSE
Now that's showing pure resiliency and commitment to her job!
Serious job dedication! I wouldn't be able to continue like she did.... props
Wow, what a trooper!
Damn what a trooper! gotta give her props!
This is the first video I saw on the year 2014. HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!
:|
What a trooper, passes out and continues to report, hats off to you.
What a great sport to kneel down with her kindness pass it on :D
Incredible professionalism. Ready to move the camera back, when she doesn't need to she covers all the points, never breaks her smile, just amazing journalism.
she got zerg rushed and fainted
Applaud for her commitment to her work...
Awesome recovery!
Pregnant much?
She is absolutely adorable. I love the part when she says "hi you guys". I'm glad she is alright.
Simp
This is a great recovery. Well done on her part to carry on when coming back to.
I have to give props to the reporter. She came back from a bad situation and kept going and ended up doing an awesome job. You go girl!
gotta admire this girl's work perseverance
I'm glad she's ok. She's a trooper. Just kept on going.
I admire you. A hero in my book. I hope all is well.
Like a BOSS!!! She just keeps on keeping on!!
omg, she is working so hard.
She deserves a promotion.
" I just slipped and fell", lady everyone saw that you fainted. I mean, what kind of excuse is that.
It's called shock. If you've ever fainted, you'd know that just before and after it happens, you say some really nonsense stuff.
Fainting can feel like slipping sometimes... trust me. Still, though, I have a feeling she was just trying to get off the topic as quickly as possible.
She admits later that she passed out and it was due to high altitudes.
she was obviously trying to save face by saying she fell, she got right back on the horse and moved ahead.Classy lady
You are a strong and brave girl. PROUD OF YOU
Props to her for getting right back into the interview.
What an awesome reporter and a great recovery. Although I did read her blog about this where she said she is known to faint in cold weather and high altitudes, which makes me wonder why she was put on/ took this story to begin with.
life ain't about how hard you can hit. It's about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. and she kept moving forward like a boss.
steal another line from rocky lol
lol get up you son of a bitch ...cause micky loves you
she indeed passed out, Amazing dedicated reporter she went right on with the story she was providing. Amazing Just Amazing
She is awesome - got right up and went to work ! Kudos to you girl !!!
+Cocobuff shut the fuck up how you gonna give 'kudos' too someone that was either HIGH' on something R 'DRUNK'
The cameraman zooming out to keep her in frame...
Hope she's okay! KUTV should be ashamed for exploiting this. But whatever gets the views, right?
Read the description...
VideosbySteve
Like she even had a choice.
the better the ratings the better for her as well. So I understand it doesn't make her look foolish or anything.....It makes her look like a trooper and a good sport to just play it off and go on as if nothing happened. I thought she acted so professional.
Read the description. She gave explicit permission for the station to post the video.
And the award for completely missing the point of the story goes to...When you're finished wringing your little hands -- It's a tribute to her professionalism.
she handled that like a complete champ! good for her for sticking with it
talk about keeping it professional and still doing your job no matter what
The guy looked at her as to say, "Jesus Christ! did she rise up from the dead?". wow he really was shocked
Imma make a snow angel, ohhhh wait wait I gotz to finish this news report.
That's dedication right there
Wow!! Good job to her!! She just keeps going on! Great save for something like that. Very professionally done.
she passed out,you can tell by her eyes and how she fell, she pulled it off like a pro
what a champ. still doing her job after passing out.
This is so sad!! I can't believe she continued to finish her segment. Hope she is ok.
She's quite the trooper.
I hope I can be just as badass this year.
All around professional from the Ski instructor to the cameraman (zooming out). All of them handled the situation very well. I'm glad she is okay. It's not easy to predict when something like that will happen.
Geez and she keeps going! She's a trooper!
Awesome reporter!!!! I am proud of you girl!!!!
kudos to her for not giving up.
So does she even know what just happened?
I sure hope she allows herself some rest after that, you don't faint like that because you're 100%.
What a dedicated professional. I hope she is ok
she deserves a raise for working so hard
