  • Today I am back for part 2 of the treasure hunt for that elusive buried Patina paint on my 1966 C10 I call Bandit. This truck was originally a swb fleet side ride from the factory, but at some point over the years it got paired up with a swb stepside bed, honestly that's cool with me as I prefer steppers.
Let's tear into this thing and find out what I am working with here. After the let down of bondo and no color on the cab I am setting my bar low on this one, but the 503 Light Green poking through in some spots gives me hope, and as one of my favorite classic Chevy colors, I may just luck out on this thing. Plus if it's a bust I can always just paint the whole truck for real or even try to feaux patina the thing. Hopefully the bed turns out well and I can just blend the cab to match best I can.
None of this is rocket science but it does take effort, so get out there and get after it!! Just go slow if you are unsure about the paint/primer depth, it is easy to burn through it if you are too aggressive. Take your time and do it right, again just treat this video as a guide only. Get wrenching my friends!
