  • Where did those three crystals come from anyway?
    What happened to Twilight, Celestia and Luna?
    And why is there a functioning day and night cycle?

    I'll piggyback off this theory and say a new threat revealed itself to Equestria, forcing Twilight to take action, which led to the creation of the crystals. However, I'd have to say there's still some powerful creature Twilight trusted to maintain the functionality of the world. I think it's safe to say they have some plan that ties the two generations together out of respect for the fans who kept FIM alive for almost ten years.

      i really hope so , i would at least like to see a character from gen 4. like discord or flurry heart because people have been convincing me that twilight is no longer around 💔 but I still have a tiny bit of hope. i actually thought about a possibility that along with the mane 6 , other ponies and creatures like discord , starlight , etc got stuck somewhere like what happened to starswirl and his crew. i also hope to see either in the series or in the upcoming special that they dive into past equestria

      @@angelsc1ub I think it's highly unlikely we'll see any of the mane six given the time between the two gens. However, I think it is possible we'll get flashbacks and many one of the alicorns, like Flurry, making a full appearance. It's possible, but I sadly wouldn't get my hopes up.

      @@musicbrush9231 One thing I really hope that gets explained is where Sunney's dad got his info from on the main six and why he had the earth pony crystal I mean clearly it could just be the case because plot but when you think about it and how much times probably passed and how he seemingly is the only person to conduction such research and know these things its rather odd.
      I also find it confusing that the wonderbolts are referenced in the pegasus city yet no one verbally mentions how they used to have elite flying teams not even Zip which seems to sho that they've forgotten about them yet they're still heavily shown off in the city they all still live in. I suppose its mainly the whole timeline of magic getting lost and when they still had magic along with the knowledge they had when they still had magic that was confusing.

      @@otterino1419 I'd say Argyle had the crystal either because it was handed down to him, or because, as he himself said, research. He had all those items from the past, and the only way we know he could've gotten them was archeology.
      The rest, I'd have to think about for a bit.

    I agree with the basics of your theory.
    I would also add that each of the crystals hold the specific "type" of magic asociated with each one of the 3 pony tribes.
    Their "original" function was to provide that specific power to ANY pony that attunes to it (regardless of their "race"); since the stained glass window shows 3 earth ponies getting either astral wings, an astral horn or "recovering" their magical connection with plants.
    -> The crystals represent a "backup" of this esential forms of magic ( "just in case" one or two of the other races went extinct), so their unique abilites would not be lost forever.
    This implies that some forms of "pony magic" like the "crystalizing" of the crystal ponies & the "fire magic" of kirins had already dissapeared alongside them [an unavoidable fate given the small size of their populations only barely preserved their race as long as they did not spread around the world or let other races into their family bloodlines].

    In my opinion, the stereotypes shown in the film that revolved around pegasi, earth ponies and unicorns were directly contributed to by Queen Chrysalis, because in some episodes of mlp fim she transformed into ordinary inhabitants of equestria and created stereotypes, e.g. in unicorns, which could cause discord among other ponies. I know Chrysalis was eventually defeated, but the stereotypes she created may have increased over the years.

    How come I haven't seen anyone say that Zipp and Pipp could be related to Zephyr Breeze!? Seeing that Izzy said Pipp's "Sparkle" is aquamarine, Zipp's name is Zephyrina, and they're rulers of Zephyr Heights. Not to mention pipp and her mother are full of themselves just like Zephyr.

    I think twilight sacrificed her powers and transferred them into the crystal .. so if it's something happens to the magic in Equestria and vanishes.. the crystals can turn everything back to normal

    Would this also mean that now that the movie has happened, the windigos can return if hatred and fear amongst the 3 species arises again? (Windigos are enchanted wind spirits relying on magic to exist. No Magic in entirety of world=no windigos)

    • @StratagemHorse
      @StratagemHorse  Před 2 lety

      Pretty much. I made the same point in the second part of this 'series'.
      Without magic, Windigos cannot be - with magic restored, they might make a comeback. However, since racism was also fixed, they won't.

    Who said Twilight is immortal?

    • @StratagemHorse
      @StratagemHorse  Před 2 lety +10

      Well, like many others I assume that Alicorns are immortal by default. Celestia has been around for over a thousand years, and shows no sign of old age, meanwhile Twilight (in "The Last Problem") looks very much like Celestia, whilst the remane 5 have visibly aged. Plus, it wouldn't make much sense for Twilight to take over for Celestia if she's going to die in less than a hundred years anyways. So I think it's fair to assume that she is just as immortal (or long-lived) as Celestia.
      To be completely honest though: We don't know if Twilight is immortal. There is no in-show mention of that.
      However, the show goes to great lengths tp avoid touching the topic of mortality. Words like "mortal", "immortal" or anything else even remotely related to death are never uttered, so technically, we don't even know for sure if Celestia and Luna are immortal.
      Sometimes, one just has to make some educated guesses.

    IT IS SAID TWILIGHT DOES NOT OUTLIVE HER FREINDS this is panful to watch

    • @StratagemHorse
      @StratagemHorse  Před 2 lety +3

      I know that some of the show staff said that.
      But then Twilight took over as ruler of Equestria for Celestia and Luna. If she still had a normal life-span, that wouldn't be a lasting change in power; just an extended 50-60 year 'vacation' for the sisters.
      Also, Twilight showed no signs of old age in "The Last Problem", the others did. So the original idea idea of her not outliving her friends apparently went out of the window at some point. I'm not super thrilled about that prospect either, but it is what it is.
