i never thought about discord's indirect role in destroying the tree, fascinating!! but something that has never made sense to me.. if the elements banished luna because they needed the mane six to reform, why did the elements banish discord to stone the second time as well? awesome video tho, cant wait for part two!!! :D (also that intro music slaps hard)
Thank you so much Sawtooth! Also, what I believe is that the spirit of harmony wanted discord to be turned to stone so that the mane six could reform him and finally cause balance between harmony and chaos. Similar to how people will only change when a certain person interacts with them.

This could also explained the reform of the changeling and Thorax becoming king. The reform of changeling may have been part of Harmony plan, Thorax and Pharnyx gain a special Changeling form upon reform, dubbed by some fan as a "Royal Changeling" form may have been part of Harmony plan to choose them and even the fact that Thorax becoming the new King of the Changeling and the event that lead to it's may have been the work of Harmony. This theory could also explained why Celestia decide to let Twilight fought the Storm King and wait until Storm King attack Canterlot. It must have been a very hard decision for Celestia to execute but her foresight tell her that this is the best course of action to allow the growth of Twilight, new experience and journey and new ally and friend
@@WindStriker what if human world in mlp g5 not alter timeline an that world still in The Middle Ages, or Medieval Times that be cool? an remember most myth not greek/etc mostly talk online the other hard to find online rarely every seen a myth of biped race be just mostly forgotten.
@WindStriker, maybe the tree of harmony went magic to evo to magic, creating corruption and blind by the light, you can't have light/dark but can't taint each other why it waited and plan it mix with mege harmony with chaos into something new not just hybrid magics
Once again. Great video! Here's a side theory as well, what if the Spirit of Harmony was around the whole time? The spirit guided the pillars into planting the tree for its plan. I only say this cuz if it's a spirit then it would be as old as Discord which can theoretically be as old as the universe itself. I dunno, maybe something there :)
I know this is a month old comments. But I agree with you. Maybe the spirit of harmony secretly guided the pillar to plant their power as a "living host" for the spirit to growth at a much faster rate and learn directly through it's root.
I really want to think that the Twilight we see in Gen 5, is not actually Twilight but rather the spirit of harmony, being as it has taken that particular form of Twilight in the past.

Hey I love this theory-if anything it’s more of just the truth if you ask me! I always felt like others glossed over the possibility of the tree actually being sentient, or at least able to calculate what’s best for the future. I really hope that new magical artifacts will be created for the new story! Also I like that you added it needs to break to make itself stronger again, like how exercise causes pain, but no pain no gain! Man I’m still pretty new to really getting into this fandom so sorry if I get things wrong, who knew a pony story could be so utterly inspiring? Edit: Also I heard you want to continue doing what if’s, my favorite character is Discord so I’d love to hear what if he was never brought back? Or even died? I’m glad you brought up his importance in this video
The tree does show a lot of intelligence...emergent or innate. Hard to know which. It's not uncommon to see the sisters regarded as something like deities to pony kind...the tree seems to fit that better than anything, especially in light of this frame

The secrets of the tree of harmony had finally been Revealed! Can’t wait for part two though! But wouldn’t it be cool If The spirit of harmony Talked with discord To bring back the villains? Discord is the spirit of chaos after all! So maybe not only discord but the spirit of harmony was also in on it!
