What is your best detangling tip for the curly girl community?
@@HeatherHutmacher-oy4hu wow! That's a commitment! no brush?! It actually makes sense though. Less damage to the hair and less painful.

As a mixed girl, my first advice is to not tease the ends as shown in the video, especially on wet hair because it will cause snagging and split ends, you can tell if the tips of your hair are lighter/blonder.
I also recommend switching between a wide-tooth comb and a boar bristle brush. My personal favorite is the Behairful brush, but any boar bristle-like brush is just fine.
The SheaMoisture Kids Detangler has amazing slip, HIGHLY recommend.

Oh no! Sorry to hear that. Definitely need to hear all about your Deva Curl experience. I do use it, but mix products up and have learned it's best not to do the exact regimen all the time. It's an ongoing journey for sure!

there's videos out that one of them and her name is Bianca and she's talkin about the relaxing product that's in the hair and a lot of their hair was ruined after that
I never used it on my daughter's hair I'm so glad I didn't.

My favorite is Shea Moisture JBCO leave in, it is light enough but has great slip. Great video! I will have to add gel into the routine for braids, I hope that will help in leaving it in longer!
Ohh, I love Shea Moisture! Great choice. I made the mistake of using my own "white girl" hair spray on my biracial kids. Big no no! Sticking to the curly girl gels from now on. Lol

I’m also mixed (black and white) but I don’t know ANY body with the same hair texture as me!! So when I look up mixed girl hair care it’s so different from my kind of hair so I can’t find good products for my kind of curls because I thought that I was just frizz but my curls are starting to come/ show
