Wow!!! Thank you so much for sharing your testimony! I can only imagine the decision wasn’t easy. I know the burnout feeling all too well!😂 I’m happy you put yourself first ❤
@@jesie_l Thank you! 🙏🏾 Yess, it was definitely a tough decision!
“It’s okay to outgrow a blessing” is the kindest, most gentle way I’ve ever heard someone say “this job isn’t worth it and is actively harmful to me.” As a former teacher who tries very hard to convince every teacher to quit because of how abusive the job is I’m stealing those words.
@@AngryPug76 😂😂😂
I am not an educator but I definitely relate to feeling burned out in my career. Thanks for sharing.
@@BriaDelyse No problem! Yes, burnout is becoming all too common. We gotta put ourselves first 💪🏾
Yes! It feels weird to go from a place of trying to cram a year's worth of living into a summer. Trying to deprogram my brain from that thinking now that I'm not in a school anymore.
@@mzsissoko Yes! The process of unlearning is a tough one, but definitely worth it!
I’m taking the early retirement of 20 years. I am DONE! I want a new career in a private industry.
@@Melissa-zw1ft I hear you! It’s never too late to reinvent yourself🤗
how can you quit in 20 years and get retirement....as a teacher in Texas you have to meet the 8o year rule.....
Today, I want to share a personal journey-why I made the decision to quit teaching. It wasn't an easy choice, but ultimately, it came down to prioritizing my own well-being over the constant battle with burnout. Join me as I delve into the reasons behind this pivotal decision and how it has reshaped my perspective on self-care and life.
What is an Ed Tech job? How does it compare to educational consulting? Where do you find that type of job?
@@crochetlady83chicachat31 Hi! EdTech is short for Educational Technology. EdTech companies are the software programs that students use in the classroom (I.e. I-Ready, IXL, Brainpop, etc.). A consultant can work at an EdTech company. Lmk if it would be helpful to make a video on this.
@@jesicalindorplease make a video on your new job and what it entails. Thanks!
@@Authentic-Israelite Hey! Thanks for watching. I have a new upload scheduled for this week, so I’ll drop it next week🤗
@@Authentic-Israelite Hey! I just uploaded the video. Check it out🤗
@@jesicalindor Yay! Will do. Thank you!
