- Here is the last and final part of the full Blackdown CTC Sunset Ceremony on August 10th 2018. In this part the massed bands and Alpha Company (the Drill & Ceremonial Instructor course) perform the traditional sunset parade.

I did this parade in 2016 and it stays with you for the rest of your time in the cadets.
Sunset parade was so much fun. now showing myself now is so crazy, in the 6 weeks I was in alpha my drill has gotten so much better. So I thank all of the staff that pushed me out of my comfort zone!!

I'm genuinely confused as to the situation around the Cadet RSM / Coxswain. They are wearing a green beret, Infantry Sash, Sea cadet slip-on's, ACSM, Expedition pin, Army cadet pants and dress shirt, and what looks to me like an Algonquin regiment cap badge.
Everything other than the slip-on's points to them being an army cadet. But then why the sea cadet slip-on's?
Anyone know what's going on?
It's likely Army Cadet slip ons that look a bit funny due to video quality and lighting.

Did blackdown pipes and drums loved it. I was in basic so I didn't get to play on parade.

What is the song(s) called that started the parade? I think of them is Bonnie Dundee, I cant confirm.

Its a guards pattern Forage Cap. To my knowledge there is only one Cadet corps that wears them. 2784 RCACC, Affiliated with the Governor General's Foot Guards.

Dylan Stey I was selected to be in Alpha Company but conflicting family priorities prevented my chance of going to Drill & Ceremonial. Pity cuz it looked great and some Corps friends were in this
1812AndMore damn well maybe you can do it next year it's a great course and I honestly recommend it
Dylan Stey Sadly I age out this October, but I hope to do some time as a civilian instructor at camp, and hopefully again in the future as a CIC officer.
