    One of the best videos I’ve seen! Been looking for somebody to walk me through this problem for a while now too

    Well done video, always love how well you describe and detail how and why things are done!

      Hey Whiplash, my husband has the same code on this exact vehicle. We have replaced the vane position sensor, the boost control solenoid and the wires for it. And still same code. Should I try the boost control valve?

    • @whiplashtv2022
      @whiplashtv2022  Před 7 měsíci

      @katherinebogue7072 have you checked to see if the vanes are stuck and won’t move? Sometimes that can be the issue.

    I just threw a P0048 boost control solenoid high circuit, feels like the wastegate is stuck open but I’m going to pull this tomorrow and see how it looks. Still getting 25mpg somehow

    • @whiplashtv2022
      @whiplashtv2022  Před rokem +1

      Yeah it might be stuck open or the solenoid simply has a high circuit voltage.

    I need to definitely check into this. Mine is sluggish into boost sometimes but isn’t showing any codes yet.

    Did this solenoid hold up? or did it fail after a few months?

  • @sterlingwitherspoon5709

    I have this same code for my 2005 6.6 dually. I noticed the idle is a little funny. Line it will ise fine then idle weird and the whole truck would shake. Thought the truck already shakes I noticed a different type of shake.
    Will this fix my problem too??

      @whiplashtv2022  Před rokem

      Yours sounds a little bit more injector related. Have you checked your injector balance rates yet?

  • @katherinebogue7072

    I have the same truck and the same code. I have changed the vane position sensor, the boost solenoid, should I try the boost solenoid valve?

    • @whiplashtv2022
      @whiplashtv2022  Před 7 měsíci

      The vane position sensor is often times not the fix. The boost control solenoid that I replaced in the video did the truck for me.

    It looks like you have boost air leaks you should get 15 PSI at least 25 if everything's perfect like new

    • @whiplashtv2022
      @whiplashtv2022  Před 2 měsíci

      It goes up over 25psi when getting on it really hard. I didn’t get on it that hard in the video. Thanks for the concern though.

    I'm getting the P2563 and P0046. Truck has no boost from a dead stop. You can mash it to the floor and it falls on it's face. Then it will very slowly take off. Also my exhaust doesn't change sounds when idling.

    • @whiplashtv2022
      @whiplashtv2022  Před rokem

      The vanes of the turbo charger not being moved and controlled correctly by the turbo boost control solenoid could cause this code to pop up. Also the vane position sensor not correctly reading the vane position could cause it as well. The boost control solenoid and vane position sensor are not crazy expensive to replace and you can definitely do it yourself.

      Your issue could be caused by this or potentially the BAP/MAP sensor or your problem could be caused by both being bad.
