One of the major issues is people think the first amendment (the right to free speech) excludes them from the persecution and repercussions of that speech, mainly because they do not realize the difference between public space and private businesses.

Several of these happened during the height of the pandemic when many businesses required you to wear a mask. I hated masks as well but if the business I walked into said to wear a mask, I wore one and didn't act like a baby over it.
If you forgot one, most places have spare masks for you to use.
If a business required I wear a mask I left. There were plenty of establishments where I live that didn't enforce the rule so I didn't need to deal with that bull shit. Now they've admitted what those of us who wouldn't wear masks knew all along - they don't do jack shit.

That woman on the plane said her hometown was Portland, she probably meant Oregon, so I can see her being mouthy. No surprise at all. The vast majority of people in Portland, Oregon aren’t mouthy, even the more politically active ones. You’ll notice that lady’s husband never said a word (although he probably never gets a word in at home, either). There are Karens and Male Karens everywhere.
I actually remember the incidents depicted in the 1st clip. It was right at the start of the pandemic, and the guy throwing a temper tantrum had refused to comply with the stores requirement that he must wear a mask in order to shop in that store. When he refused to comply and also refused to leave, that was when things went South.

@@msdarby515 basically, they told him that he would not be served, and he had to leave, he said he'd leave after he purchased his groceries. When they told him that he would not be allowed to make a purchase, that's when he decided to go all ghetto fabulous.
I didn't agree with that mandate but I also needed food so the grocery store was one of the few places I wore one , stores are private property and they can set their own rules and I'll abide by them but in public places I didn't wear one
Stores were breaking LAWS. Certain folks cant wear masks. They even listed, in the Covid requirements, that you couldn't make certain people do it. HOWEVER stores kicked EVERYONE out, that didnt. Thats discrimination.
Thats no different than saying, no people with wheelchairs at my store. It's a medical condition you cannot change.

Once I was in the Rapids City airport early in the morning and the place was almost deserted. Those few of us milling around the boarding gate heard them coming for quite a while.
Mostly a woman’s voice, whiny and hectoring, kvetching at probably a husband or boyfriend and his calmer voice trying to pour oil on the waters.
By the time they came into view, we cheerfully hated her. “You KNOW I need four hours to get ready. You woke me up late and didn’t even have breakfast ready!” Yadada Yadada.
Pleased to have a wider audience, she continued the tirade. The poor guy was beaten down and embarrassed. As The Wife warmed up to her topic, any one of us would have throttled her. She got so enthused, she fake-fainted in line and collapsed slowly slowly to the floor. A woman stepped up, said she was an RN, checked her vitals and said she was fine.
At the actual desk, the crew informed her they could not let her fly until she was cleared by a doctor. Suddenly strong, she insisted she was okay now, but they were firm. No fly.
I was praying the husband would tell her he’d see her in Cancun, but he stayed with her.
In the United States, citizens arrest is not enforceable. Yes, a citizen can effect a citizen's arrest, but they cannot physically restrain the person that they are doing that too. If they do that, that's called false imprisonment.

It's a bit more complicated than can or cannot, the specifics vary by State. Usually in a citizen's arrest both parties are taken into custody, for everyone's protection.
Wrong. If a citizen saw a felony, they can physically restrain the person. If it was a felony they didn’t see, they can physically restrain so long as they see the fruits of a felony and have reasonable suspicion that the suspect committed the act. In the case of a misdemeanor a citizen can detain so long a he/she witnessed the act and cannot detain if seeing only the fruits of the misdemeanor but not the act.
They can physically restrain someone if physical harm to someone else or themselves was an issue. Good Samaritan law covers some things like that, but you better be damn sure you're not mistaken what the situation is.

A am a police officer and this has happened to me more often than you may think, the only time your rights should be read is when someone is being arrested is for a felony.
I would never treat another person the way these people do!! I'll be 66 years old this year and my parents raised us to be respectful, kind, tolerant and a leader in our life, I've raised my children the same way, these ignorant people are an embarrassment not only to themselves but for their innocent family members!! All the hate in the world has become out of hand, we all must love and respect each other!!
The one woman on the plane, how can you be on a passenger airliner(something known for burning massive amounts of fuel) and argue about climate change xD

About the Karen in the airplane, it's not clear from this video, but in another video it is. The reason the Karen was objecting was because the man sitting next to her was wearing a Trump T-shirt and she was "offended." So she insisted that HE should be moved to another seat and get out of HER "space." At one point the poor husband finally said something to the flight attendant, but in a quiet and soft voice -- and asked if he and his wife traded seats, would that be OK? The flight attendant said it's too late for that, as the plane's captain had already made the decision that she had to leave.
Believe it or not they would absolutely land the plane if someone is making a disturbance and needto get them off and then they would most likely be arrested and put on a do not fly list

Calling someone a name is not an arrestable offense in the US (even if it is a derogatory slur). Such speech is protected by the First Amendment. Was it wrong for that lady to say that word? Abso-freaking-lutely! But should she have been forced, at camera-point, by the Karen holding the phone? No. That Karen was just as bad, if not worse, than the lady who used that term.
These folks have infinitely more restraint than I do. The first time one of them screamed in my face or tried to manhandle me, I'd be throwing punches.

The guy trying to make a citizen's arrest is an anti-masker. The guy he's trying to arrest is a store manager. He was refused service because he didnt wear a mask, then took a bar of soap, threw some money at the counter, and felt he paid for it now. The manager followed him out to the parking lot while talking with the police on his phone. The guy stuck a camera in his face, which the manager pushed away. He calls it assault, and thats why he's trying to make the citizen's arrest.
“Citizen’s Arrest”: This is an old video, so my memory’s foggy … but here goes …
The guy (Mgr) in the blue shirt on the phone is either the owner or manager of a store there.
Derp1, and his (bud? partner?) Derp2, were in that store and caused some big ruckus there (something about toothpaste and brushes). I THINK they ended up walking out with merchandise.
Mgr follow them out to stop them, and “touched” Derp1. (“Oh,whoa is me. I was ‘touched’!) Derp1 was very antagonistic and getting in Mgr’s face, grabbing at him.

10:35 That woman forgot one detail: when you buy a plane ticket, that means you will respect the international rules of transportation, not doing the scandal that she did, and the moment a passenger enters in the plane, she must abide to those rules and regulations made by the airliner in that plane it's the captain that decides if someone is not respecting those rules goes out of that plane or not, next time she should read the regulations that are always written in the plane ticket!

It doesn't matter if they're filming her for a specific reason or none at all, it is entirely legal in the USA. The law says there is no expectation of privacy in a public place. The "N" word came off that women's lips to easily, she's just using looting as an excuse because she was called out and was going to be reported herself for a hate crime.
People need to understand something here, you actually don't have as many "rights" as you think you are entitled too. There needs to be a mandatory class during highschool that teaches kids about the common laws.

#2 you have no expectation of privacy in a public area or business so your consent isn't needed for someone to record
#3 police have the right to detain you if they think you may flee or become violent while they're conducting their investigation
The video of you asked what was going on is that the guy trying to make a citizen's arrest had gone into a grocery store with the intent on causing drama. He apparently has a blog & is an anti masker so in the beginning of the video he brags about how he's gonna do his shopping & doesn't care what they gotta say about masks. As soon as he goes in they tell him he needs a mask & he completely ignores them & brags to his followers about it & how they have not right to stop him. So the manager gets involved now trying to get him to mask up he still refuses the manager says he has to leave he won't so the manager says they won't ring his stuff up but the guy continues to go to the register the manager tells the cashier not to ring him up so the guy says he's leaving money & taking his stuff. The manager says that its not a legal purchase & if he walks out it'll be stealing but he leaves any ways now the manager follows him. Apparently they've had issues with him before because the manager recognized his car & starts telling the cop the make, model & license plate # that's when the guy gets all in his face pointing his finger in his face etc... the guy is on the phone with cops & can't hear so he shooshes the guy away with his hand & idk if he did but the guy claims he hit his hand. Thats when he claims assault & tries to arrest him

12:10: City of Holland has got to be Holland, Michigan, my home state (and Holland is about 25 minutes from where I live). It was one of the whitest cities in the state (by early settlement) and has a history of "but we're totally not racist!" while having to backtrack and apologize about a bunch of totally racist incidents. It was settled by Dutch Christian Reformed folks and, for the most part, that's still a large group within Holland's population. It's slowly been populated with other ethnicities (though I'm told from the 20's - late 60's it was still a big deal to settle there if you were white and non-Dutch - I have relatives who lived there then) and now has a decent mix of residents alongside the Dutch who maintain their roots there and celebrate Tulip Time every spring. FWW, it's a beautiful city and most of the people are welcoming and very nice, but then there are the Karens like the one in this clip who like to wave around the n-word (and other racial slurs for any other non-whites within shouting range) who just can't seem to get with the program. Or just be nice. Or shut up. Sorry, rest of the world. Some of our Hollanders are jerks.
What I hate about these karen videos is that you never get to see the aftermath. I want to see them getting put away.
Sadly, these are becoming more common. I think it’s a breakdown of society and some people just lose it. I’m not defending but just wondering. I’m nearly 50 and found myself disabled and unable to work. I was homeless 6 months after leaving the hospital. This has been my fate. In the background I have two daughters that’s been molested by the ex’s boyfriend. Many other little issues at well. All this to say i unfortunately been guilty of losing it. I think it’s a symptom of a much larger problem. That is that we live under a system that suppresses people. 5 years homeless now… there is no excuse. Everyone is trying to climb up one over the other to get to the top while pilling all that on everyone under them. We have to change our mindset as a community as start looking down so we can give a hand up to all those that’s been crushed by our greed. We are at a breaking point in the world in general. Power dynamics are shifting. People this is the time to recalibrate, reorganize our priorities to match our morals and reason. Pls like if you agree. Free advice for anyone that has not experienced a life like mine.

Lol the third Karen is using every excuse in the world,none of which are valid , to get out of the embarrassment. She is getting the worst end of it. The poor sheriff does not want to carry the sack of potatoes to the police car and is trying to get her to move without success. She doesn't seem to have a clue that she has no constitutional rights on private property with the exception of deeds done to her by those not legally constituted to do so. The sheriff is legally constituted to do so. He needs to be a little firmer. The previous couple were just as bad and the first guy should've been arrested right away for assault. As for the lady on the plane, she had a bad attitude, but we don't know the context and the airlines are getting very prickly about anyone talking back to them, and throwing them off the plane. This is most of the result of Covid drunks who refused to wear masks. The lady in Holland (Michigan?) Was probably at her wits end, and the bad word slipped slipped out when the other lady Did something socially unacceptable that we don't know about. This was in the midst of some riots a couple of years ago maybe but again we don't have any context.
We had at least one generation that was raised or not raised but grew up on their own with out any regards to right or wrong, they had kids now these kids some of whom everyone has labeled Karens. Think they can get away with anything they want, cause they weren't taught anything different.

I think the make equivalent if a Karen is named Gary. There are a lot men named Gary who are nice & there are a lot of women named Karen who are nice, but my family dealt with a "Gary" last year. So we definitely believe Gary is the male version of a Karen.

Citizens arrest is a real thing. But, most states have very specific laws regarding it. Unless you absolutely know the law you should leave it to the real authorities 😂

What she did, disorderly conduct, and if the owner of the restaurant wants to press charges, trespassing will be included.
She was reciting the 1st amendment of the US Constitution. Which does say that you can assemble anywhere in one of the articles. (Along with freedom of religion, and free speech)
