  • Just bought this saw and thought I would do a review.
    I like this light weight, easy to start saw!
    This little dude runs and cuts very well.

    Very simple straightforward review. I'm thinking of buying this within a couple of weeks. Great advice on not chocking. Wouldn't have believed it was that easy to start had I not seen it.

    Have one. Great little home use pruning saw. Little small for heavy fire wood cutting but that’s it.

    I bought one of these last week and agree on the flooding! This model is amazingly easy to flood and takes forever to clear if you do. Apparently my unit doesn't need any choke on really warm days... I'm sure it will be different in winter.

  • @johnclarke6647
    @johnclarke6647 Před 7 lety +2

    It Is easy to flood any stihl saws. I just put them in the run position and pull eight or 10 times to clear the flood. Then I put them in the warm start position and pull it until it rolls over. When they roll over, just blip it up and pull till it starts. The key is getting them to roll over - attempt to start. Sometimes they roll over in the cold start position, sometimes in the warm start position and sometimes in the run or ignite position. Generally, I push them down on position and pull still they start. The easiest saw to flood is the ms 250 and 251. Usually I limit my pulls in the cold start position to less than 4 pulls, 4 in the warm start position and as many as I want in the run position. Each saw is different and you must tailor your starting sequence to the preferences of that saw.

    I agree with a previous poster; you really should engage the chain brake before starting the machine.
