This is awesome, last weekend I joined my son in law and his friend in the balcony, supposedly they're music junkies, after a while I heard my son in law suggesting YYZ which his friend never heard of, I said it's performed by Rush.. he played the song and he loved it madly and kept telling "Dude you're so good.." when the song ended he asked me to pick a song , and I went with " Salute to Kareem" which, I too thought that it's very resembling to YYZ.
Word out that RHCP may be joining Bruno Mars in the Super Bowl halftime show Feb2, 2014....Bruno included this track on his playlist for Forbes Magazine, 30 under 30 , where he was named most influential in music under 30 this year....I find the combo of Bruno and RHCP an odd pairing, but the instrumental strength of this track(bass , drums,) ....and Bruno's interest in highlighting and improving his guitar skills and riffs, ....maybe so....still a confusing pairing to me.

The bass in this song is rather sub par. Its almost as if Flea approaches the most undesirable sound possible, I mean seriously... who really wants to hear bass strings be slapped around like that ?
