Saw Ann and Nancy at a free outdoor concert on the waterfront near the Burnside Bridge in Portland, OR in the 90s, that was put on for an environmental benefit and included other artists like Jackson Browne, David Crosby (recently released from time in the slam for drug vios), Neil Young and others. Ann and Nancy did a fantastic acoustic version on just mandolin (Nancy) and guitar (Ann) of Lead Zepp's Battle of Evermore. Just the two of them. It was fantastic too.
I have always admired Ann Wilson's strength as a vocalist. My music has been inspired by so many of the great acts of the 1970s. I really grew up during a musical revolution and am forever grateful.

Her voice has a healing affect on me, as just about all women singers do, no matter the genre. She conveyed the underlying sadness in that song.
