Rimuru has officially become a Demon Lord after defeating Clayman. Following Walpurgis, the Demon Lords' banquet, Rimuru's domain is expanded to include the entire Great Forest of Jura. Anticipating a flood of representatives from all races showing up to pay their respects, Rimuru decides to throw a festival to commemorate the opening of Tempest, using it as an opportunity to gain new citizens and present Demon Lord Rimuru to the world. Meanwhile, in the Holy Empire of Lubelius, home base of the monster-hating cult of Luminism, Holy Knight Captain Hinata receives a message from Rimuru. But the message is actually a fabricated declaration of war sent by some unknown party. Upon learning that Hinata is heading for Tempest, Rimuru makes a decision... Thus begins a new challenge for Rimuru, striving to distinguish friend from foe in a pursuit of the ideal nation where humans and monsters can prosper together.

@@Justwizzyig she did give up bullying him in favor of weedling for sweets. So I would call that a victory. And let's be honest. She just wanted friends. But hardly anyone could figure out how to deal with her. Making her only peers the original demon lord and the shut in fairy queen. Being born a god is not all that fun it seems. So having someone who despite being so weak could make her turn in circles must have been refreshing.
Having casual moments like this with normally stoic and serious characters never fails to be a breath of fresh air.

If you had actually read the source material, you’d know about all the meetings both before and after this episode. The fact that they kept those meetings showed they were trying to uphold Fuse’s work as much as possible

She did spend about probably 10 years in another land. To suddenly see something from where you came from would confuse the hell out of you.

I think she realized it before the ramen. That she let her emotions cloud her judgement. But definitive proof Rimuru had little desire for power and just wanted to glut on making his dreams a reality came when she reached the ramen.

Also, I love it when one of the "main" characters have their internal dialogues. We can hear her inner thought but to the other knights, Hinata is ignoring them and just silently staring at some weird food they've never seen before for minutes on end. The only actual words she said in this clip are "We're going in" and "hot" lol

and the reason the knights have no idea how to use chopsticks is because if this were live-action, the knights would be European. they are unfamiliar with this foreign experience except for Hinata since from a live-action perspective, she's the only Asian among their group.

Japan doesn't fool around with ramen. Its like cheeseburgers for Americans. It's a point of national pride. Notice how detailed they animate the ramen. I wonder if they might of brought in some of the animators from Food Wars for this scene.
When the spoon enters the soup, the detail is amazing. They must of spent many hours drawing that bowl of ramen.
Rimuru clearly went into great detail, or perhaps shared his memories like he did with Shizu. The bowls, the atmosphere of the restaurant. The special spoons, chopsticks. Rimuru spared no detail in recreating the genuine Japanize ramen experience.
They also put Rimuru's likeness on everything, the bowls, spoons, pudding, his slime face is everywhere. At the bottom of the bowl too, so people know who gave them this wonderful food.
Then they travel on Rimuru's highway system, with campgrounds and inns. The kind of travel from our world.
Rimaru defeated Milim with honey, so why not defeat Hinata with 🍜
Man...Despite being a badass and overpower character, it was pretty cute seeing this side of Hinata.
Having played the Assassins Creed games, I always thought that my mother was wrong when she said that the way to a person's heart is through their stomach. No mother, the way to a person's heart is through the bottom two ribs. Going through their stomach is unnecessarily complicated.
Hinata's reaction there makes me wonder if my mother was actually right...

Rimuru won the battle before it even begun and he didn't even know it.
Introducing food and other things from your world into a world where this stuff doesn't exist best idea ever.
At this point we are already seeing that Hinata isn't going to just die off a "villain" and is heading towards becoming Rimuru's friend. These small parts of humanizing her really allow the audience to slowly change their impression of her.
I read pretty far ahead in the LN so I can't tell if anime only fans picked that up.

I love how baffled she is over the fact that rimuru put so much effort into bringing japan to this world. Why would anyone want to destroy something they could never have again and that can be shared with other people in that world? Rimuru is too positive of a force in that world for anyone sane and selfless to want to get rid of.

I enjoyed this entire part of the book as hinata and her companions experience the sheer quality of life improvements rimuru has introduced to his nation and the surrounding areas. They expect a demon lord tyrant or whatever and instead they see a philanthropist who seems to be almost entirely focused on making life better for everyone and asking for nothing in return really, beyond "Admit we have the right to be a nation and treat us like any other ally." Even these hardcore super dedicated to "Monsters must be killed, period" religious zealots are shaken by what they experience on this trip.
It occurs to me that Isekai should be called "I conquered the world with earth food" a minimum of 1/3 the time.
