Small clarification: when Kwon Gi-do follows Moon-young in the car in the previous episode, he says, after he gets in, that he wanted to put on his underwear because he was intimidated by her (even though he denies it) and when she is surprised that he was wearing underwear, he replies that he didn't consider them as such, but that they were the only thing that kept him from losing his mind. This therefore explains why, when they arrived at the rally, Gi-do had boxers under his raincoat. So no continuity problems.
I think this is the first time we've seen Kang-tae lose his temper and be so openly hostile. We must consider that, like all human beings, he has a breaking point. In any case, I think the whole episode revolves around her relationship with her parents, but also what, as children, remains most imprinted on us. Kang-tae seems to only remember that his mother cared more for Sang-tae and that his entire existence was aimed at taking care of him, which he has done so far, sacrificing everything of himself. However, it must be said that childhood memories are never too reliable, risking eliminating important details that would modify the entire representation of those memories. It would seem absurd that a mother who takes such care of a disabled child would not also do the same for the other able-bodied child, but we'll see about this. I found Gi-do's point of view interesting: the scolding that his mother gave him, from her point of view, was the first true act of love towards him, who normally ignored him. This is sad in many ways, but I also saw a certain impatience on the part of the woman, which I obviously don't justify, but I understand that in a certain context, these things happen and I think she was also angry with herself at that moment , but this is obviously my reading of the scene, obviously. The same argument made before for Kang-tae could apply to Moon-young: she also remembers things from her point of view and we don't really know why her father, now with dementia, seems to want to attack her or if really, when he sees her, he really sees her. The drama is very well written and also clever enough to set the story starting from a point of view that is not completely reliable, pushing us to investigate more about it, while we learn the various layers of which the protagonists are made, always discovering new details.
That said, this drama can also be very funny and I laugh every time I see Moon-young interact sassily with Kang-tae or anyone else, as well as fall in love with her every time she smiles. And one cannot help but love the head of the psychiatric clinic Oh Ji-wang, for his apparently childish attitude, far from the image of a medical luminary that we would normally expect, which makes him interesting and also really interested in his patients and to the staff.
However, yes, this drama almost always brings rivers of tears, thanks to everything, from the writing, the acting, the staging, the splendid songs, but also a lot of laughter, you'll see later...
Thanks for the reaction, it's nice to see you again.

@@Mimithestan It has quite refined writing and deals with various mental health issues very well. From this point of view, only Daily Dose of Sunshine, I believe, did better.
