That was brutal. The Tomb Kings needed calcium asap.
I like the mini stories being told in this one. A unit of soldiers being ambushed by enemies beneath the sand, the killing blow by the empire general against their general, the struggle to take down a single scorpion, the barrage and impact of the artillery before the first clash even happens. I think keeping a focus on these mini stories will make them even better. Show some tactics or changes made during the battle, a flank by Calvary, infantry being enveloped, a change in formation, a break in a unit’s line causing enemies to rush through into the back lines, a saving rescue from hidden reinforcements. All can make great stories with the larger battle shots going on.
Every time I watch a video like this, I always feel like this is how a Chaos God watches these battles; just sitting on their thrones, eating a few souls, quietly watching the carnage happen because they have nothing else better to do.

The might and tactics of the Empire can never be matched.
Between the amount of artillery and the camera angles the first 5 minutes of this felt like a Michael Bay movie. In a good way, like one of his good movies, I'm sure he has some. But seriously, wow, really amazing job, what you can do with game assets is crazy talented.

I'm so glad! Usually these cinematic battles cheat the empire out of their artillery so that the bad factions can win. Glad this one was different!

i love how at 8.20 there is a headless artilleryman just doing his thing whilst someone shouts 'keep your heads down men!'
This is very well made, maybe add some music next time, some of the games battle music would work really well over this, I tried watching this while listening to the "Widowmaker" track from Warhammer 2 and it made it even better. But besides that small gripe I really have to say the camerawork and battle choreography were great!
I have to agree. Also maybe think about of adding some narrative with subtitles that fits the tides of war for example. :)

You are just too good at making these battles, you seem to know exactly what to show and focus on that keeps me totally hooked and excited til the end of the battle. I love to watch one of your videos on a break at work or on the tv at home. More entertaining than the general Hollywood choreographed fantasy battles I’ve seen in my opinion, they should give you job. I wish you could upload more regularly but I respect the time that must go into your editing with all the thought and focus on epic moments. I’ve been following your channel sometime now and really enjoy your content, and I feel you do these the best out of any that pops in my feed. It brings back such excitement from my childhood when I used to try and collect and paint the miniatures. I really enjoyed this battle and the high elves vs beastmen, the outcome was totally unpredictable for me. (For someone who doesn’t play the game and also thanks for no one putting a spoiler in the top comment. Thanks by the way world) Please keep up the awesome stuff I am a big fan, hope to see more battles over the holidays whilst I’m off work, if not they keep serving my imagination through work routine life which helps a lot for me. Hope you have a great Christmas and new year and thanks again for the videos.

This one has the best build-up you've made. The jagged, stiff marching of the undead, unphased by the artillery barrages thinning the fodder, so menacing.
WarHammer Total War has been improved since its introduction. It might be worth a try.

This is why the sensible avoid war; even if you win, you are staggeringly weakened for another enemy to walk in and splat you....
I love these. Excellent cinematography. Can the undead replenish their troops like in the tabletop game? I see a lot of magic, but I don’t see undead replenishing their troops.
They do but it's incredibly slow.
I visualized the cannon barrage just before Pickett's Charge in the film "Gettysburg" when the Imperial cannons opened up.
Also: Settra does not walk! Settra RIDES!

I've yet to see the Tomb Kings to win a battle.
That's because the Tomb Kings army composition is bad to fight their opponents and no one ever flanks or use tactics.
Tomb Kings need to build their army precisely to counter their opponent (unlike most races) and there was too much anti-large in this army. composition.

If i was leading that army of the dead i would of brought more dead swarm tactics are the only thing that lead a undead army like that to victory the ranks looked stected and thin whoever sent that army was way to overconfident

Oh come on... Why is Setra on foot in his home land with zero chariots? Lame. No cavalry at all? Not impressed. RULE #1 Setra should never be on foot. EVER.

This Total War 2023 looks like a 2016 total war, what a 💩💩!
You guys REALLY need to slow down the gunfire. Those muskets are firing about 4x as often as they could in real life. That's why in the real world it was one or two volleys, fix bayonets and charge.
Lopsided battles are boring. Tomb kings had no chance vs all that range
